what are your hobbies?

I've suddenly found myself with a tremendous amount of free time and am looking to pick up some new hobbies

Currently I read books and collect rare/out of print VHS tapes

Thinking about possibly getting into comics but have no idea where to start

I actually just picked up this one purely based on the cover:

Love making small mobile apps in my free time.
 
My number 1 hobby would be cars. Which is not a cheap hobby but I try anyway. Which is why I usually buy cheap craigslist cars for usually no more than $1500. I do need to slim down the fleet as I'm currently at 6.

My next biggest hobby would be video games, but with school that's become a weekend only hobby for now unfortunately.

Then after that would be playing guitar, which I've only gotten into about a year and a half ago, so I'm still pretty mediocre at it. But I try at practice at least 30 minutes a day.
 
Probably video games. I used to be more into books, but these days I am fascinated by the potential for story telling in video games.
 
Gaming (actually playing, shitposting on here, watching/reading in-depth analysis)
Music (listening, reading, and watching interviews/docs on the subject)
Film (same as above)
Reading political theories

Frankly, most people probably think I'm boring. I probably am. But fuck you.
 
Sports fencing(epee), writing/reading, 3D modelling, programming and playing the violin. Those are the main things I do during my week.
 
I'd suggest taking up a creative, rather than consumptive hobby.

Make art, take up writing daily, learn to build shit or something, I don't know. I like to write, and I dump most of that writing time into worldbuilding for the D&D game I run. It's a nice break from watching/playing/reading.
 
I spend way too much money on small plastic robots and then feel bad about it later.

Honestly though, I do really enjoy Transformers. They look really cool in a display, and they're always fun to pull down and mess with.

I collect a few other toys here and there, such as the original Megazord, Vinyl Scratch figures, and just random other toys that catch my eye (like my dancing Stormtrooper squad).

I'm also pretty fond of older video game consoles, records, and movies.
 
Draw, read books, weight lift, walk, video games, football, gundam.

I was doing meditation but that shit is real and I got scared away from it. I found some deep emotional shit, and I looked into other people's experiences and it was the same (they started crying, they started remembering negative memories, they started to feel anger everyday for no reason).

So fuck meditation.

Anyways, I'm looking into Yoga, maybe some stretching and breathing in the mornings to start my day.
 
I am pretty big into tabletop gaming. I've been getting into game design and have even done some incredited paid development work for some of the bigger hobby board game companies. My friend designed a game that we were gonna publish but we ended up selling it to Wiz Kids which is cool.

I'm working on a 3rd party D&D thing in the meantime.

I'm an amateur filmmaker and podcaster. Which blends with my work life a lot in a good way. My New Years Resolution this year was to finally direct a feature I have been kicking around for a few years. We'll see.

I used to be really into hiking and camping but it's gotten tougher since having a kid, so we're getting more into bicycling w her.

I miss writing music and being in a band, but I drew that creativity from unhappiness and I am fortunately happy these days.

I have too many hobbies honestly.
 
I've been into Magic: The Gathering for years, and last year I picked up Warhammer 40k again so I've been enjoying both the gaming and painting side of that.

I make a femrented fruit, rum, and molasses mixture to attract moths, then put up a couple of sheets and very bright lights. The combination will attract hundreds to thousands of insects. I photograph them and attempt to identify them.

It feed the collector part of my brain, and gives me something to do late at night while drinking beer. Best part, I get to stay at alot of state parks/state resorts for free in exchange for setting up a moth program for residents/park visitors.

Playing videogames, beer (brewing, drinking), various sports like basketball, running, and biking, I listen to a lot of books because of my commute, and usually read 3-4 books a year (less than I'd like, but just don't have the time at night). I like developing side projects, as well, when I'm not working on a project for a client.

This is nightmare fuel to me. I fucking hate moths. Cool hobby, but I'm sorry.

Dude some of those moths look bigger than bats wtf
 
Reading
Gaming (video games, board cards, TCG's etc)
Collecting (Films, books and comics)
Whittling
Music (mostly Banjo)

And most recently (last couple of years) computer programming and film making not that i have any real aspirations of doing anything super serious with either they both just pertain to my favorite hobbies/interest which is film and video games the most that will come out of both is a better understanding and for myself like dumb little games or home movies with friends.
