My hobbies have taken a backseat to work right now but they consist of
Soccer, baseball, driving my car, playing rocket league, reading comics (dont read many of em because im very picky), and very recently it's been board games thanks to gaf. There's a bunch of other things but I haven't been able to do much and what time I have I prefer to spend it with my gf.

aside from games and television shows and such which I don't really take seriously enough to call a "hobby" (more something I do sometimes)
probably the main two for me are reading and trying out new restaurants and foods and such(not obsessively but to the point where when I go on a vacation I spend as much time planning out where i'm going to eat as I do on planning out other stuff)
i've been meaning to get into VR but for some reason I just....haven't,I bought a rift like a year ago now and even bought touch controllers since then as well but aside from a few hours the couple days after I first got the rift I legitimately haven't used it at all
not sure why that is,I don't think I even have a real reason for it

Serious lol. Some of it is for my own enjoyment clearly but sometimes just because im interested/want to collect the series if it is one. This is mostly digital though. Dat paper (disc) trail.

This is the coolest fucking thing to me.
I make a femrented fruit, rum, and molasses mixture to attract moths, then put up a couple of sheets and very bright lights. The combination will attract hundreds to thousands of insects. I photograph them and attempt to identify them.
It feed the collector part of my brain, and gives me something to do late at night while drinking beer. Best part, I get to stay at alot of state parks/state resorts for free in exchange for setting up a moth program for residents/park visitors.
(None of these photos are of my setup as I am on mobile, but pretty closely match them)

Browsing the Web - Seems to be my number one hobby , as thats what i spend most of my time doing, whether in forums, Social media, youtube, twitch, Netflix etc, also it's a good way to keep up with other hobbies becuase you can usually find sites & forums dedicated to almost any hobby you can think of & even youtube channels, & if not you could always create them yourself.
Music - specifically the Genre of Heavy Metal & Rock (buying albums, merch, going to gigs, watching stuff online etc)
Computers - i used to be into them a lot more before, upgrading them, playing games on them, browse web, play around with programmes & settings that i had no clue just to see what they do, even fiddle about with live cd linux builds. I used to subscribe to a fortnighly magazine & regulary buy between 2-5 other magazines all about Computers, & read books about them.
Videogames - Well we are on Gaf afterall, playing, collecting them, buying merch, playing retro games etc
Horror - mostly movies watching & buying them, collecting merch, reading magazines, the occasional book, watching youtube videos about horror etc
Art - Just looking at it, as i am not at all good at creating art, (it looks omature but i dont have time/patience to learn) but as an admirer i can buy Art Books, look at lots of Amateur & professional Art online, i like Movie Poster Art, & Old 80's videobox Art, Album Artwork, go to Art galleries, i also like buying Movie Art books & look at all the stunning concept Art, also like watching various Art Documentaries & TV Shows.

I like to collect and build Gunpla since last june, have like 30 models already, build like 10 or so...
Building these Gundam mobile suits are fun and relaxing, you don't even have to paint them or glue them, they are all snapkits. I plan on painting/airbrushing them, but yeah need to invest in that first.
Also got my Open Water PADI in Thailand this year, which was fun, scary, oh shit I'm choking on seawater and oh wow a cool underwater wreckage. Planning on getting my Advanced next year, hopefully become Divemaster one day.

Cosplay, cooking, and reading are probably my biggest hobbies.
My cosplays can be found here. Definitely my most expensive hobby but also really satisfying for my artistic side. I get to sew, sculpt, carve, sand, paint, et cetera, and show it all off in a single project. Plus, it's a super social hobby, and you can meet a ton of awesome people. I'd say the majority of my current friends are people I met through the hobby.
For cooking, I love to make all kinds of food. Both baking and savory cooking. I like to make really elaborate recipes, typically. Tomorrow I'm braising some beef short ribs. A week ago or so I made some nutella-filled, sea-salt sprinkled, brown butter chocolate chip cookies and some peanut butter-filled, sea-salt sprinkled, brown butter double fudge cookies for a friend's birthday party. I don't get to cook as often as I like, but at least when I cook in bulk I can freeze individual portions so I can enjoy good whenever I want. I kind of want to start a food blog to document my recipes and food adventures, but I feel like I need to improve my photography skills (and get a decent camera) first.
As for reading, I read pretty much everything, fiction and non-fiction alike. I fell out of the habit of watching anime years ago, but I still read a ton of manga (favorite author is Junji Ito).

Dang, that's awesome. My grandpa's brother bought a bunch of cross-cut saws back in the 40s, but shortly after that the chainsaw was adopted widely and he was stuck with them. He gave away/sold almost all of them over the years, and I got one of the last ones. It's never been used and is still razor sharp.

Yours is a much better idea and gets way more than I ever did. I only maybe got 100 at a time, but I did find a Luna moth. I loved it.

I used to do a lot of video editing, mostly youtube poop type stuff, but I've only ever finished a couple of Chad Warden + The Room (Tommy Wiseau) mashup edits. Now I mostly edit together my own porn.
I write fiction, and draw it, though I do the former more often. Sometimes by myself, but more often as a part of a group exercise in a format that's somewhat similar to online role-playing. I do a bit of abstract digital art now and then too.
I used to read a lot when I was younger, then I listened to a lot of audiobooks while drawing, but that's mostly been overtaken by Netflix. I'd like to get back into it though.

I used to be very into LBP's level editor and had some ambitious projects going, which I hoped to later translate to a dedicated game-making software, but not much progress on that front.
I listen to a lot of music, read up on the lyrics, the band history, and I look up interviews sometimes. I'll dig deeper the more I like a band. Haven't found many that have gripped me as much as REM and Talking Heads did last year though. I don't go to too many shows though. The last one was a Modest Mouse show last summer, and that ended up having disappointing sound quality and a fairly short set.
I took a beginning guitar class in senior year of high-school, but didn't practice often enough following that and I've forgotten almost everything. I've also got a cheap keyboard that I used to doodle around with, but I don't think I've ever composed anything worthwhile.
I like to think of myself as an avid amateur when it comes to a lot of creative pursuits. I guess I like being able to express myself in that way.

Mostly comics, video games, and then the ever so classic movies and television (I like to watch and critique and talk about them, as pretty much anyone does). I have also started to collect figures. Comics are really the only hobby that I have any real dedication to. Figures are only based on "well that looks cool," without any real dedication to it at all (completing sets, collecting a line, etc.) and mostly with spontaneity. I'm on GAF, so obviously I enjoy video games, though not nearly as hardcore as I was but a few years ago. I mostly just play them and don't try to keep up with the news as much as I did. I have a YT channel that I keep meaning to go back to just for a hobby and eliminate whatever sad attempt at true monetization I was going for. I'd like to do a Twitch channel or some kind of streaming channel. Real chill, no monetization or anything like that, but I don't have the equipment for it (mostly a computer).
I've tried collectible games (Heroclix, Magic, Heroscape, etc.), but those fall through. I either get tired of playing them or tired of spending the money. Magic was the one I dedicated the most time to, but Heroscape was the most fun (fuck spending like $30 just for a couple of figs and a tile piece). But boy was Heroscape fun.

Certainly. It's been a bit Star Wars heavy lately. I tend to go through phases of subject matter, which is what's great about scale modeling, there's all sorts of material to switch to and from.

video games (probably the number 1 choice if I have free time),

I used to enjoy playing the saxophone but that kind of fell off a year or two ago. Love cooking for people, but not too bothered about cooking for pleasure.
Would really like to take up woodworking but the kit etc seems to need a lot of space, time and money. Other stuff already consumes all 3 of those! Plus, you know, the potential loss of limbs.
