What drink do you usually order at a bar?

I just can't get into ipas. Can't understand the appeal

I only like them when it's hot outside. Something extra thirst quenching about it then.

I don't drink cocktails often. In fact I've never had a long island iced tea in my life. The ingredients look disgusting. I don't see how it could taste good ? Vodka, rum, tequila and gin mixed together with a little sweetener tastes like iced tea ? BS.

Before I saw the error of my ways and stopped my wicked living... I went Vodka tonic or the classic rum and coke. I'd do Whiskey sours on rare occasions. Never been a fancy drink kind of guy though realy.

Most common choice would be vodka and lemonade or G and T. It's rather simple though and I prefer cocktails when I can. Mojito's are my favourite but any cocktail will do the trick for me usually. I tend to order random things as the night progresses.
A strawberry or fruity berries cider is great too.

Just remembered I love Southern Comfort and Lemonade but still dodgy after having a whole bottle to myself at a party a week ago!

Double captain and coke. I used to be a long island guy, but good ones are so rare :\

.

This. I first tried it at party this summer and I've been drinking such an awesome combo ever since.

start off with vodka and redbull
then move to shots of various liquors
i might switch it up this new years so i don't black out and/or throw up

possibly vodkabulls --> beer.

Nobody get mad pls but isn't Long Island a chick drink? i know white russian is and i'm retty sure LI is too unless ive been given wrong info.

The concept of a chick drink only matters to men who are insecure. Be a man and drink what you like.

Personally I do Screwdrivers.

And speaking of 4 horsemen, my friend ordered me one one time and it came as 4 separate shots. It was ok until the last one. No regrets though.

Jenever (a milder in taste version of Gin, it's also a bit cheaper usually and really popular as a "blank" alcohol here, goes well with pretty much anything, pretty disgusting when not mixed with something else), with either coke or some sort of juice.

Either that, or a beer (usually a pills, or a special one when I'm in the mood, usually it'll be a Chimay Bleue or a Leffe because they're readily available everywhere around here).

Jack or Crown.

Usually my first order is 2 shots of Jack or Crown and a beer. I don't care for shitty sugary mixed drinks or anything other than whiskey.

Any sort of beer, but I do enjoy Southern Comfort either on its own or with lemonade.

I used to drink Southern Comfort and lemonade exclusively in the 80s and one year of the 90s. Of course it was the UK, so "lemonade" was technically 7up or sprite.

I usually drink beer (either cheapest beer or microbrews depending on why I'm at the bar), but when I get mixed drinks I always go for a mint julep. It's my favorite whiskey-based drink and mixed drink in general. It requires mint leaves so smaller bars won't be able to make it.

Start off with Long Island Ice Teas......

But then, because of the company the night usually de-evolves into drinking the hard, crazy shit. Stuff like....

Galvatron (Bacardi 151, Maker's Mark, Patron)
Silverback (Hypnotiq, Bacardi 151, Red Bull)
Royal Pussy (Crown Royal, Peach Schnapps, Red Bull)
Liquid Cocaine (Jagermeister, Goldschlager, Bacardi 151)
Four Horsemen (Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker, Jameson)
Those are some badass names.

I've always wanted to try this shot but I'm scared shitless of what career-threatening decisions would follow, lol.

It's pretty good if you can stomach the hard stuff......you'll definitely feel it as the night progresses.

Of course, if you want to go the slightly "easier" route first, you can take the Three Wisemen (everything minus the Jameson).

If you want to end your career, though, there's the Three Horsemen & A Farmer (Jim, Jack, Johnnie, Wild Turkey). :)

Unless it's a fancier bar where I might get a martini or expensive cocktail, either beer or gin & tonic. I really can't stomach other liquors like whiskey, tequila, or vodka in larger quantities.
