I was playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but after 35 hours I need a break from it, so now I'm playing Evil Within 2.

AC:O is a fun game, but it's a bit on a long side..!

No game is as good as The Last of Us. :lollipop_sunglasses:
Counter point - every game is better than The Last of Us (including Ride to Hell: Retribution).

OT: Currently playing Stardew Valley. I may call it after the third year in-game. Basically have everything upgraded, got married, about to have a kid, fully unlocked the Community Center, cleared the mines and unlocked the Skull Labyrinth in the Desert. Done about all I care to do.

Danganronpa 2. I just finished the first class trial and I am curious if this is a direct sequel to the original (no alternate timelines) because it was established that...

the world kind of ended through unspecified means and the abstract concept of despair rules all. So the Hope's Peak school kept the "ultimates" locked up inside so one day they can go re-build society with "hope".

However, in Danganronpa 2 there is a different class that is being held hostage from Hope's Peak (is there more than just the one or is this kind of a retelling?) Byakuga is also in this game and there it seems to be implied that this is the same Byakuga from the original. He became less selfish and arrogant from his experience and the trauma made him develop some kind of eating disorder. So why is he part of another class?

Also Junko was killed in the original so it doesn't really make sense for someone else to pull the strings here.

...so it is a bit confusing where it stands right now (plz don't spoil me).

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

I picked up Picross S3 on my Switch.

I need to finish Tales of Vesperia, and move on to Yoshi's World. But this silly little Picross game has me hooked, just like the other two did. I should have known better.

Perhaps one of the weirdest combinations I've played so far. GTA: Liberty City Stories (PS2) on a 24 inch monitor and Uncharted 3 (PS4) on my OLED. Putting the IQ aside the framerate is differences are killing me. GTA is like 15-20 fps with dips on the PS2 and Uncharted 3 is smooth 60 fps.

Last night when I switched from GTA after a few missions to Uncharted I started to feel dizzy, no joke. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Still, I'm enjoying GTA more than expected. I set myself to play all GTA past 3 this years (even 1+2 if I can get the PSone version for an acceptable price) and after the original GTA3 left a bit of a lukewarm impression (it just hasn't aged well) Chinatown Wars totally blew me away - and Liberty City Stories seems to follow in these footsteps. I am struggling a bit with the controls and said framerate but the writing and missions are bloody hilarious. Rockstar's amazing!
That's quite a challenge for yourself. Please write up a thread or at least post your progress to let GAF know your thoughts.

haven't touched Sekiro in a few weeks. just can't be arsed with its bullshit right now.

so just the usual Rocket League + Gwent.

also have been trying to get back into Red Dead Redemption 2 but i'm really hating the hunting aspect of it. it's too tedious.

Literally just completed Heart of Darkness on PS1 about 2 minutes ago. That end boss/screen was tricky!

Completed playing through all of the Street Fighter games on the SF 30th Anniversary Collection for trophies. Waiting for the Sea of Thieves update to go live in 2 hours, that will take up the next 6 months by the sounds of things.

Trails of Cold Steel. Finally playing a game I've purchased multiple times. I have the ps3 versions sitting on my shelf, but once I heard the ps4 versions were coming I waited for those. It's really good so far. I expected more Trails in the Sky, but I didn't realize I was going to get so much Persona mixed in.

When I’m done with Horizon Zero Dawn, I’m getting Detroit Become Human. After that I’m getting the Resident Evil 2 remake. After that I’m getting Days Gone

The Division 2, Gwent, Red Dead Redemption 2.

Uninstalled Rocket League (fuck Epic) after 4 years. It was a fun ride but I'm done with it now.

Currently playing Just Cause 4 because it was a gamepass quest, and I figured why not finish it. It isn't too great, but it has some enjoyable elements.

Beat Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition just beforehand. It was pretty awesome and a reasonable challenge.

Probably going to play Kingdom Hearts 3 next. Really want to get The Division 2 though.

I recently finished my forth playthrough of Bloodstained Curse of the moon and I just started Bloodborne again but not NG+++, instead starred new file to make Bloodsting build, basically this build will be all about Chikage.

I'm name my character Zengetsu, in my head this Bloodborne playthrough will be sequel to Curse of the Moon and Zengetsu woke up in Yharnam instead futuristic city in Curse of the Moon ending.

Playing now:

Yippie Psycho - Great survival horror game so far. Also the theme setting is so surreal is intriguing.

KinkShamed - Yes, it is what you think. Surprisingly it is not a bad game and it have some funny moments. Also no porn, only fetishes.

Seabed - VN with good premise, but it is boring...maybe I will give up on it.

Plans to play:

Crosscode - Heard very good things for this one. For sure I will try it out.

Lorelai - It was made by the Devs of "The Cat Lady", so of course I will play this one as well.

Death Mark - I am a sucker for horror VN, so I will buy it after I finish with "Yippie Psycho".

you really had to post the huge ass image? what's wrong with just typing "Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin"?

100%ing vanilla Wildlands again. Will probably buy the DLC this time around.

Playing it again reminds me of how much more I like it than The Division 1. When you're going for a realistic setting enemies that take 14 shots to the head just don't work, man. Either go crazy unrealistic like Borderlands or go realistic like Wildlands on Hard. Pick a direction and stick to it.

World War Z -Ps4

Can't believe Gaf indirectly make me interested in this game. And you know what? Its not bad at all. Quite fun and visually pleasing. Already have 2 classes at 30.
Although it could use some tunes here and there, the game still pretty decent.

This case was a lot different from reera, where I purchase the game because of their suggestion and regret buying later.

I've started Red Dead Redemption 2 again, after I barely got past the intro section last time. Valentine has hideous frame rate drops on base ps4 for what it's worth, likewise I've checked my completion rate & I'm at 17% after barely doing anything at all. So that's worrisome. It's just clunky as hell to be honest. I'm hoping I'll hit a sweet spot soon & get into the rhythm, because as of right now there's just far too much annoying stuff to full make it enjoyable.

I don't even like the characters either (stereotypical Rockstar villains who spew introspective & psychological conversations regarding the "meaning of life" between missions in which they're nothing more than killers & thieves).

I just beat Katana Zero in one sitting. Very fast paced, reminded me of Ruiner which was another game that I loved. I hope they come out with the DLC soon. The boss fights were hard, it was great.

Onimusha: Warlords on the PS4 (I liked it so much I double dipped for the Switch version too haha)

I'd recommend it because it's basically Resident Evil: Samurai/Ninja edition! Pretty much everything that made classic Resident Evil games great is present in the game, and there's a scene which plays a great homage to Resident Evil 2! But in spite of that, it still feels like an original game, with things that make it stand on it's own/feel unique.

Dragon's Dogma, Switch.
I like the game I just wish I had more time to play it. Seems like thered a lot to do in this game. The combat alone has so many options.

Path of Exile on PS4 , i played 200+ hours on the PC and thought id give it a go and after getting used to the controls on a controller am enjoying it , Inventory management is still fiddly but am getting used to it . I started a two handed Marauder focusing on either Earthquake or Totemic Slam skills .

Its Fantastic , also its completely free with cosmetic Micro-transactions so everyone can give it a go.

Slime Racher looks like Elebits, @Shifty.
Interesting, I've not seen Elebits before. Looks like it has a faintly Katamari / Chibi Robo / Mr Moskeeto vibe about it. Would you say it's worth a try?

Slime Rancher is more along the lines of your classical Harvest Moon farming game, just with adorable smiley blobs instead of traditional livestock. You build up a farm, grow crops, feed them to your slimes, and hoover up their crystal poop to sell for big bucks on the plort exchange.

It's been interesting to see elements that the clicker genre took and boiled down into addictive simplicity, only framed within a more substantial game and world.

What sort of God Hand secrets did you uncover? o_O
Quite a few things here and there. I decided to try easy mode for the first time, use the opportunity to experiment with the move economy and spend time with the try-before-you-buy training dummy to figure out what's viable for each stage.

Turns out that the difficulty labeling should probably be Normal / Hard / DIE rather than Easy / Normal / Hard now I think about it... 🤔

Doing that revealed a few new gems since the shop UI doesn't communicate certain important properties like cancelability and spacing, though I still don't understand why there are so many slow guard break moves available in the late game when enemy reaction time is super fast.

I don't think I ever knew about Gene's built-in low sweep on weave + triangle before either. That would have made crowd control a lot easier on my last two playthroughs.

All in all, it's still the best ever and has me cackling like a hyena at its goofy cutscenes. We're never gonna see a sequel, but seeing Atsushi Inaba's name in the credits makes me wish Platinum would branch away from the Bayonetta core they've used for so many games and mix things up with some over-the-shoulder martial arts.

Assuming you are fond of (or at least tolerate) Wii pointer controls, yeah Elebits / Eledees is a really fun puzzle game. Not at all like Slime Rancher in gameplay, though.

The slow guard break moves can be used at the end of complicated frame-trap setups, especially against mid-bosses/bosses that are far better at blocking Gene's combos.

I wish there was a modern port. When it first came out, I played halfway through twice and gave it up both times (too difficult), but I think I have a broader set of skills to handle it now.

EDIT: sorry for the mistaken quote, Red.
