So so close to finishing all of the achievements for Gotham Knights (XSX), nearly done the DLC. Hoping to finish it tonight finally. Assuming I do, going then stick to Dead Space (XSX), need to beat it finally. I may also start Hogwarts Legacy (XSX), that's been on my list for a while.

Monster Hunter World/Iceborne, returned after 3 years from the game and its amazing. In some way it does feel like a liveservice game, in a good way and not in a shitway like Destiny 2.

First time replaying Bloodborne since its 2015 release and Im absolutely destroying it, one shotting most bosses.

I guess 8 additional years of game experience + Elden Ring has opened the gates to a royal curbstomping and I couldnt be more proud of myself 😌

Put in about 10 hrs on No mans sky, but i think i’m ready to move on. Freaking crazy how different it is compared to day one release that i played. It definitely excited me for their next game, light no fire.

Gonna start resident evil 2 remake…. Cant freaking wait. Loved the orig on ps1 and n64 port.

Are doing fresh replaythrough or NG+?.......also defiled chalice dungeon will change your tune.

Fresh run and Im not doing any Chalice stuff at the moment. If I do I might just fart around with the Phtumeru one, nothing major.

Just cruising through the story (Ive already done all the optional places: Hypogeon Gaol, Nightmare Frontier and I beat Logarius at Cainhurst last night) and Im already at the Unseen Village. Started Friday evening.

Then I think you meant to say beating bosses first try rather than "one shotting" bosses.

Did you fought Queen Yharnam before? In order get to her you need serval Chalice dungeons including defiled chalice (which is harder than actual fight with queen yharnam).

I always thought one shotting meant exactly that. You beat them in one shot. One try.

I never fought the Queen but the first time I did finish the game I did it with all three of the umbilical cord pieces to get that different ending.

This time around I already killed Iosefka earlier and I want one of the more "basic" endings.

She is exclusive to Chalice Dungeon, her fight is not really that hard.....the difficult part is getting to her in the first place.

The gunk - Been in my Gamepass play later list since it released. Finished this is two sittings. It was decent enough. Incredibly easy. Nice little platformer with a bit of a nod to Luigi’s Mansion, though the vacuum mechanics could have been developed much further.

Hollow Knight - about 3hrs in. So far I’m really enjoying it. I’ve been hankering for a Metroidvania type game and it’s hitting the spot.

Still also playing through Spider-Man Remastered and Returnal. Both of these will take a while.

I’m going to take a break from Baldur’s Gate 3, before I start Act 2.

I’m going to start a few VR games tonight on my Quest 3. I plan to restart Walking Dead, now that the Quest 3 update is out. Also, I hope to do a little fishing in Real VR Fishing.

Hopping between Oblivion on Steam Deck and Quake II Remastered: Call of the Machine on Switch

I gotta say, Call of the Machine really impressed me. Currently making progress through 5th operation, so I'm very close towards the end. There are some encounters that I felt were a bit rough, but honestly, out of the entire package it's my favorite campaign beside main game. CotM has some levels that were definitive standouts, especially Operation Darkest Depths. I was really impressed by the level design and how much variety this unique premise of playing operations in any order brings to the table. This new spin at the gameplay makes it feel fresh, while still fitting nicely into overall Quake II package

Starting messing around with PowerWash Simulator again. I can't say I really like the game but I can't put it away for good either.

Playing around with Clubhouse Games on Switch. I don't have the strength to get involved with anything more than that right now. I badly want to play Super Mario Galaxy.

RE4 plus separate ways. Finished it and started another playthrough with all the weapons and a new costume.

COD Infinite Warfare. I don’t get the hate on this one. Feels like a better killzone. Think they did a decent job with the different setting.

RE8 Village. I put this off a long time ago since I got stuck. Started it up and finally got past the finding 4 masks section. This one has more polish than RE7 but it feels less of a RE game to me.

RE6. Trying to finally finish this one. Only played Leon’s section. Just lol.

I'm currently playing through Ori And The Blind Forest. I think I ran across a glitch that is preventing me from progressing any further.

Need help

After I save that black creature in the moon grotto. He gives me this blue orb. I go to the bridge near by and there's a lever with another black creature holding it, I go to the end of that bridge and it forces me into a semi cutscene where that other black creature pulls the level and I go to the middle and land but when I land all the way to the bottom I can't control my character, he doesn't move, I can still access the menu though. The spot I land is always by the map stone.

Anyone knows how to get past this?

Ugh those fucking chalices. The fight against her isn't shit compared to defiled chalice and a couple of the other chalice bosses earlier.

Finished Robocop. I don't say it often but the familiarity of ip (I'm a big fan of the first film and Verhoeven in general) elevated it to a more fun experience than if it would have been something original. I mean, I pretty much ignored all the other weapons because it was such a blast just using auto-9 and depriving suckers of their ballsacks or Nuke infused brain matter. They didn't totally nail that satirical tone/biblical allegory of the film, but it was good enough for me. There was a noticeable difficulty spike at the end and the last boss gave me some trouble but it kind of fits the story. Finally I don't know if it is because both developers are Polish but I got a bit of Bloober vibes from it, if they decided to mix their usual stuff with fps shooting segments. Not great, but certainly very enjoyable. 7.5/10

And jumped straight into another fps - Trepang2. It's funny how both this one and Robocop share quite a few fps similarities (grabbing enemies and throwing them at other enemies, for example), but very different at the same time. It is way more kinetic and full of hectic energy with you and enemies constantly changing positions and them showering you with bullets non-stop. Each shootout is exhilarating and that feels great, but....I have a hard time connecting with the game. You play a mission and feel like playing something else instead and maybe get back to it at another time. I don't think it is because of its vague story (I can play Doom anytime and get lost in it for hours), but it is definitely frustrating - they nailed the shooting part, the music is pretty cool but it lacks some sort of personality to be truly engaging.

Finally got all of the achievements in Gotham Knights (XSX), that was a slog. The DLC is literally the worst DLC (both free and in general) that I have ever played. It wouldn't have been so bad if they cut like 60% of it out, it was the same shit over and over (fight a billion re-spawning enemies while repairing some stupid generators and doing some awful escort missions).

Tonight I'll focus on a mix of Cyberpunk 2077 (XSX), Dead Space (XSX), and starting Lords of the Fallen (XSX).

Finished The Adventures of Lomax. I love this game. Big part of my early teens and I play it from time to time. The graphics and audio are second to none, probably the best looking 2D platformer on PSX. I'd say it holds up incredibly well even by todays standards. The controls however are not the best. Lomax movements are kinda slippery and it's easy to fall off a cliff and die.

And this game is hardcore as fuck. Don't be fooled by the cute graphics, the game is hard as nails. I think this and Rayman are some of the more difficult games from this era, some levels are absolutely brutal, and also somewhat unfair.

I also learned today that one of the guys behind Lomax is Henk Nieborg, who's most recent work is the retro flavored action game Battle Axe on current consoles. You can clearly see his graphical style carry across between these games. When I played Battle Axe I do remember saying to myself that it reminded me of another game I was fond of. And now I know why.

Booted up Metroid Zero Mission. Haven't played it since the GBA premiere in circa 2003, maybe? I had a GBA SP and this was the first game I bought. And it was fucking phenomenal. Great remake of Samus first classic adventure. I remember being so surprised by all the new areas, weapons and lore. It was so much fun playing it. However, it didn't really hook me further on the portable gaming space. I sold it and continued playing on consoles. I didn't fully appreciate handheld gaming until the Switch, which led me further into the market with an ROG Ally. Which is where I'm playing Zero Mission today. And it feels great to play still. GBA games holds up very well I'd say.

I'm playing 30 Sport Games in 1 for Switch and it has something called "NASCAR RACE" -- officially licensed I'm sure!

Gamefly skipped both versions of robocop and also paper mario to send me this ;)

Pokemon Sword. Never actually played a Pokemon game before (besides Pokemon Go when it first released) and am curious what makes this game so popular.

I haven't had Gamefly since the PS2 era but it's good to see things haven't changed. A good rule of thumb back then was to only have one or two games in your queue so you always get what you want most.

It took 17 days for Kirby's Epic Yawn 3ds to cross the country from their west coast hub over the holidays lol.

Another Code, I'm REALLY liking this games atmosphere and I'm super glad they kept 2d arts for flash back and character portraits.

Resident Evil 0

Just noticed that I hadn’t played this one since 2016 and hence thought I‘d give it another go.

Man, there is hardly anyone who likes old RE as much as me but this game Capcom really didn’t think through. It was always my least favourite RE and just 2-3 hours every time I know why. Dunno, mayhap I am stupid but often I find it incredibly difficult to dodge enemies and the healing items are SUPER rare here. It’s soooo frustrating. Just now I got poisoned at this chess board and up to that point that was not a single blue herb in the game. So you either have the choice to go on and hope to find the blue herb or reload right away. What kind of design is that?

I do love the old gameplay with all my heart but man, this game is strange as hell.

On PS5 I'm also starting a Last Of Us run with 1 & 2 back to back.

I'm playing Earthbound on a gba emulator. Earthbound is mentioned always as a classic RPG. Have to play further to decide.
But looking at all the reviews, everyone calls it a masterpiece and classic.

I'm currently playing several games actually, I shift them depending on my mood and how much free time I have to play at that given moment.

- SW Jedi: Fallen Order (Xbox)
- Elden Ring (Xbox)
- Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch)
- Return to Monkey Island (PC)

Really enjoying all of them. Would focus on Elden Ring more if I could, but sometimes I can only play about 10-20 minutes, and then ER is not very productive.

Reached a turning point in Tales of Arise. Put it on pause for a week while I play the new Prince of Persia. Fantastic game. I knew nothing of it until it released.

Arise has turned out to be a magnificent game and I am excited to get back to it, but I am just going to no-life the Prince until its complete. The game seems to be at least as large as Hollow Knight. I’m assuming I can finish it before Tekken on Friday.
