What game(s) are you most looking forward to next month? April 2017 Edition

Another solid month for me, I backed Yooka-Laylee so I've already got a DL code coming. Full Throttle I already know is (originally) brilliant but Little Nightmares I'm most confident in the quality of. The demo of Outlast 2 was pretty neat but I'll wait and see if it has enough tricks to keep the full length game interesting.

Definite
Yooka-Laylee (PS4)
Full Throttle Remastered (PS4)
Little Nightmares (PS4)

Maybe
Outlast 2

Ranked by my level of excitement:

Mario Kart 8
Little Nightmares
Yooka Laylee
Disney afternoon collection - pure nostalgia play. Might hold off on this waiting for a switch version.

Persona 5, Yooka-Laylee, and Mario Kart for me, but they will be on the backburner until after I get through Nier Automata, Horizon, and Zelda.

Only Yooka-Laylee for me, and that's a maybe. That casino level made me err on the side of caution, so I'm gonna wait until the reviews hit before I make a decision.

Well seeing as I won't even have to pay for Drawn to Death anymore (since it's one of April's PS+ games) AND won't have to deal with microtransactions (since it's not F2P anymore) I'm really looking forward to that :)

Persona 5, I really can't wait... started, late... the 4 on Vita, what a blast... what a blast, I can't believe I was hesitating to try it out... shame on me^^

I would say Yooka-Laylee but
I have a copy of the game already for review purpose
. Other than that, Persona 5, Outlast 2, Aaero & Little Nightmares - the latter having the potential to be something really really good.

Persona 5. I've gotta admit that as much as I adored P4, the dungeons became a chore for me about halfway through. The social links are what maintained my interest, so I'm hopeful said aspect is just as strong in P5. I'm currently not in the mood to play games, but in a month I might be in the right headspace, by which time the CATHERINE costume dlc will be out. I normally object to cosmetic dlc, but fuck that, it's Catherine.

Cosmic Star Heroine. I love pixel art, and Chrono Trigger (even though I never quite finished it), but I think I will wait to pick this one up because of the timing.

Stellaris, Utopia expansion. I really, really want to start playing this game for the first time. I figure that you can only have so many story-driven games on the go at once, but some kind of 4X/strategy game fits a different hole. One where you can sink an hour or two in every now and then, and not forget the plot if you step away for too long.

Mario Kart 8, Switch. So it's not the best single-player MK game (I would have liked more race circuits, instead of battle dlc), but it still puts a smile on my face. In a serious world, with serious problems, I feel as though the odd MK Grand Prix only makes me feel better.

I kinda like the idea of Dragon's Trap remake as well, but I might wait that out too. I just know that my backlog is large enough, and if I buy all these games I won't play them.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Just grabbed Horizon over the weekend, for when I finish up Breath of the Wild.

Got plenty to keep me busy.

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
Dragon Quest Heroes II is day and date on Pc btw, not just PS4

as for the topic in question, either Yooka Leylee or Cosmic Star Heroine, depending on how they are.

Mario Kart as a dark horse if only to use my switch (and because I havent played a mario kart in many MANY moons)

I might get swept up in the Persona hype as it gets closer to release and I watch the quicklook or something, but the only Persona game I played was 3, and I didnt really care for it so...

DQ Heroes 2, Outlast 2 and Persona 5 are all of interest to me, don't know when I'll get to make a start on them though

Definitely picking up:

Wonderboy The Dragon's Trap: The remake I've been waiting 28 years for. I just wish my dad was still here to play through it with me but I'll be thinking of him as I boot it up.

Syberia 3: Me and my Wife have wanted some kind of conclusion to the series since first playing it on PC around 2005. With this and Dreamfall Chapters on the horizon we're both made up.

Possibly getting:

Persona 5: I own and have completed P4 Golden on my Vita and really loved my time with it, but for some reason I'm not as hyped as I thought I'd be for P5. I will get it eventually once I clear some time.

Yooka-Laylee: I love the art style but game-play looks slightly dated so gonna hold off for reviews before deciding. It's also a mite more expensive then I thought it would be.

Puyo Puyo and Mario Kart 8 are on lock because I need Switch games. Persona 5 is at the top after that, but I have so much to play I don't think I'll get around to playing it until like May. Very interested in Yooka-Laylee too, but I want to see how that pans out critically first.

So I thought PaRappa released yesterday, but it's releasing April 4th. Adding it to the list of upcoming releases.

I MIGHT pre-order since there's a discount ($11.99 instead of $14.99), but I'm not sure yet. Maybe it'll be super cheap down the line. I played the demo with the Sony Gold headset, and it sounded great, so playing the game front to back will be awesome whenever I get to the game.

Yooka-Laylee.

Followed by Wonder boy. Then Dragon quest heroes.

I was enjoying some older games up until recently. Zelda takes up most of my time now. Then after that I've got Horizon to get through, also I just bought Rise of the Tomb Raider cheap.

Theres a number of other games I havent even had the chance to check out like Nier and Resident Evil 7. These past few months have been rammed.

Disney Afternoon Collection is the only game I'll be picking up next month. I was going to get P5, but April will be full of term papers and final exams, so I think I'll leave it for when I have more free time.
