4. BoF III
5. Grandia III

Tough to pick 5. Lots right on the cusp, PSO, Chrono Trigger, Star Ocean II, Super Mario RPG...yeah.

Persona 5, Yakuza Ishin, Dark Souls, Nier, Devil Survivor. I guess.

I do think most (or all) of the Dark Souls followups are better games, but they weren't as memorable for a variety of reasons. Nier has a better story than Automata, and likewise, left a stronger impression despite being an obviously worse game. As for Ishin, again I think 0 and (maybe) 2 are better games overall, but I love Ishin's setting, and it has better combat than 0 while remaining strong in other areas. P5 and Devil Survivor are just fantastic games all around.

Finally someone other than me likes dot hack//G.U. Seriously, in 2006 almost everybody was freaking about FFXII but i was one very, very few people hyping .hack//G.U. at that time.

So many. My top Western Rpg's are Oblivion, Kotor 1 and 2, and Fallout New Vegas. MY top JRPG's are Final Fantasy 6, 9, and 10 - Earthbound (Mother 2).. oh god there are too many.

Oh yeah I was all over that game when it came out because I just got into the anime. I remember GameCrazy had one left and I ran up there and bought it. Then bought part 2 and 3 day one of their release.
