What should be the next HD title Nintendo makes?

I'd rather see new IPs, I can just play these games in HD on my PC anyways.

Though, Nintendo can push out these HD collections at a cheap production cost and limited development time.

I'd like to see:

Super Mario Sunshine HD - With skippable cutscenes, SM64DS type additional levels, and a way to track how many blue coins there are.

Eternal Darkness HD - Maybe with the map added to the gamepad.

Zangeki no Reginleiv HD - So that it gets released outside of Japan this time.

F-Zero UX - GX and AX with a track editor, new levels, and online play.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door HD - It's been far too long since they released a Paper Mario game, and it would look fantastic in HD.

Fire Emblem: Tales of the Blue Flame - A collection of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn with: Widescreen for both games, a revamped skill system for Path of Radiance, support conversations for Radiant Dawn, rebalanced difficulty modes for both games where people outside of Japan get all the difficulties this time, with better translations, and the ability to speed up battle animations like in Awakening. It would also give them the chance to finish translating the more detailed Radiant Dawn story text, so we get the same story content Japan did.

Xenoblade HD - This would look fantastic in HD, and they could add some hints to X if that is a sequel.

Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse HD - So that it gets released in English officially. They should add a Fatal mode, new hidden ghosts, random ghosts, more costumes and accessories and more battle mode levels. With traditional control support, and gamepad support if it would be appropriate. I'd also want them to add leaderboards for each ghost, so you could compare with your friends.

Fatal Frame 2: Deep Crimson Butterfly HD - Similar to FF4: Fatal Mode, new hidden ghosts, more costumes and accessories, A BATTLE MODE PLEASE, with more haunted mansion levels with locations and ghosts that span the series, and Survival mode like the Xbox original release. With traditional control support, and gamepad support if it would be appropriate. I'd also want them to add leaderboards for each ghost, so you could compare with your friends.

5 pages later but ... bad choice. They would have to completely redo the textures, which would take a massive amount of time. In Wind Waker, since the textures are mostly flat color, they left them alone and focused on having new shaders and higher polycount models, thats much easier work than re-texturing.

That's wrong. Textures are completely new in WWHD.

An open world StarFox game. Now being realistic:

A Super Mario All-Stars style game that includes:

Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
New Super Mario Bros.

All with HD Sprites/textures/rendered backgrounds/pseudo 3D character models.

Agreed on F-Zero. Even if I'm not a fan of racing games, seeing how people want a F-Zero return and that Nintendo hadn't no clue about before that Miyamoto interview...

It was outsourced to Sega at the time and the AX tracks are there too. So, it's probably worthing it for Nintendo to ask a studio to give it the HD/online treatment and release F-Zero GX+AX HD (what a name!). I believe gamers will even take it as a digital only release.

Third Sega+Nintendo game confirmed?!

Metroid, first person, third person, side scrolling, 2.5d, don't really care how they approach it. Would just appreciate some HD Metroid.

It makes sense to make another gamecube game. The engine is there, and it's much less work than making hd versions of N64 titles. Wii games can be played with bc, so I guess they wont go down that road

Hence, GX

Twilight Princess. Please please please please please be Twilight Princess. That art style is just BEGGING for better hardware.

HD versions of Metroid Prime Trilogy or Xenoblade would also be fantastic and I'd totally buy them but PLEASE TWILIGHT PRINCESS.

I've never been able to play it because of how bad it looks in 480p.

holy dicks and balls, you played the 4k version? :p

Have to agree with F-Zero GX. That's a series where I really don't need a new game, but I want it's best game to look better and hopefully have online play.

Metroid Prime Trilogy HD

The games still do look pretty good (compared to Twilight Princess, for example), so they wouldn't have to spend that much time on textures. But imagine how the new lighting engine would benefit the atmosphere of the games *_*

Mario 64 and Mario sunshine would make some sense as there's a lot of people who have never played them, and Mario games have a lot of potential.

Personally I would like a HD Metroid trilogy - provided it supported Wii Remote aiming - as I missed the limited edition collection on Wii, that was a tad too expensive for me - as I already owned all 3 original releases.

Aside from these, I can only think of Majora's mask, other options don't sound enough feasible to me.

Star Fox 64
Luigi's Mansion
Super Mario 64, Galaxy 1&2
F-Zero GX
Metroid Prime

In no particular order

Also, this might be a little left field, but Super Mario RPG anyone?

EDIT: beaten, but gladly. Also, how did I forget REmake?? RE4's HD remake should be ported to WiiU. just for the sake of coming full circle.

I'm going to go with Xenoblade HD because that game deserves it.

Also I'd really like a Kirby Air Ride HD. Just HDfy the City trial mode and e-shop it for $10
WWHD took like 6 months, this would take like no resources.

By the way, I would say to those championing F-Zero GX, are you aware that it was developed by Sega?
Can't we have anything?

We ask for F-Zero U and Miyamoto says there is nothing left to do with the series even though Mario Kart is on it's 9,000th installment and Nintendo is okay with funding massive platinum bombs (;_;). We'd settle for Gamecube VC, but we'll probably see Nintendo's next next gen system before we get a glimpse of gamecube VC. Now all we want is an HD remake with online.

Let it slide. Just let this one go.
