Its Die Hard. Its always been Die Hard. Probably always will be Die Hard. Although Fury Road gave me hope that we may see something dethrone it in our lifetimes.

Even though I like T1 better than T2 - I will say that T2 has the better action.

Though for my money Die Hard is still the single-best action film.

It would have to be an action movie that say's something, that has some resonant impact and shows that you can take a genre film and go deeper with it.

My choice would be a toss up between Terminator 1 and Robocop 1.

Recently watched Terminator 2 with a friend of mine. She never watched it before, isn't really into violent movies( funnily the only woman I know who isn't) and oh boy she loved it. Holy shit! Holy shit! What the fuck? Holy shit!

Made me reappreciate the movie.
