Some samsung pre-historic smartphone
Motorola milestone
Galaxy s2
Galaxy s3
Galaxy s4
Galaxy s5
Galaxy s6
Galaxy s7 edge

Galaxy s8?

I think it goes like this:

LG Flip Phone
Then another LG Flip Phone (with a camera)
LG Dare
Moto Droid
iphone 4s
(i think there was an android smartphone here)
htc one m8
iphone 6s (current)

Ericsson CH688 (first--hand me down)
Samsung SCH-8500 (first phone I purchased)
Siemens A56
Nokia 2260
Motorola Razr V3
Nokia N95
HTC Legend
iPhone 4S
iPhone 5
iPhone 6
iPhone SE (present)

Looking at the first phone some of you guys have makes me realize I'm old.

Thanks.

I got my first one around 2004 :
samyx52_00.jpg

Nokia brick
LG flip phone
LG dare
LG ally
iphone 4s
iphone 6

I loved my LG dare, one of my favorite phones. The LG ally on the other hand was probably the biggest piece of shit I have ever had to use.

Motorola RAZR
LG Shine
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPhone 5
iPhone 6

Skipped the last two years and getting an iPhone 8 this year.

Nokia 5190
Nokia 3210
some Samsung flip phone
T-Mobile HTC Wing (Windows Phone 6 OS, lol)
iPhone 3G
iPhone 4
iPhone 4S
iPhone 5
iPhone 5S
Nexus 4
iPhone 6 Plus
Nexus 5
One Plus One
iPhone 6S Plus
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
iPhone 7 Plus

I have a free extra phone line that I run the other phone (Android) on.

I can't recall what models my pre-smartphones were. I just didn't care enough at the time to remember.

So starting from smartphones:

iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPhone 4s
iPhone 5
Galaxy Note 3
iPhone 6+
Galaxy Note 7
iPhone 7+

Sanyo Katana -> Samsung S4 -> Samsung S5 -> Samsung S6 Active (insurance replacement for S5, didn't upgrade, pay extra, or change plans for it) -> Samsung S7

Nokia 3510i (~2004?)

3 Skypephone (2007)

3 Skypephone S2 (2009)

iPhone 4 (2010)

iPhone 6 (2014), 1st replacement (2015), 2nd replacement (2016)

The iPhone 6 is certainly the phone I have had most problems with, having been replaced (by Apple for free) twice. My wife's iPhone 6 has been replaced once and is now needing a new battery. My old iPhone 4 is still in daily use by my dad 7 years later (and on the original battery!).

Some LG flip phone
Some LG "candybar" phone
LG Dare
iPhone 5 (which got ruined in a fire)
Samsung Galaxy Mega (that someone loaned to me)
Moto G4
iPhone 7

Only 2 and I'm 29.

Motorola Moto G 1st Gen (August 2014-December 2016)
Motorola Moto G4 Plus (December 2016-Now)

Love this line of phone!

*some flip phone with color screen*
Motorola Razer
*some phone that the screen would flip out to form a T and the keyboard was under that*
Droid Eris
iPhone 4
iPhone 5s
iPhone 6s plus

Nokia 3310
Nokia 6300
iPhone OG
iPhone 3
iPhone 4
iPhone 5
iPhone 6

Sticking with the 6 for awhile. Haven't felt like I needed to upgrade yet.

That Nokia thing everyone had back in 2001
Some Samsung phone with a blue screen instead of green!
An LG flip phone with color
Motorola flip phone of some kind
Another LG phone with a slide out keyboard
iPhone 5
iPhone 6+

Wasn't until my first iPhone that I really paid attention to phones that much. The first few years of smartphones had really crazy expensive phone plans so it wasn't very feasible for me. Also I probably won't be upgrading from my 6+ for a few more years until something really blows me away.

Motorola C333
Nokia... something-or-other. A cheap $20 flip-phone.
HTC Touch
Some other HTC that had a pop-out keyboard
Nexus One
Nexus S
Galaxy S3
Lumia 800 (or was it a 920? Shit...)
Lumia 1020
HTC Honor 5X
Lumia 950 XL
iPhone 7 Plus

Phew.. this took some research to try and remember all the models.

Nokia 5110 (First phone, 1997-ish)
Nokia 3210
Nokia 8210 (one of my favs)
Nokia 8390 (also great)
Sanyo SCP-5500
LG FUSIC
Motorola RAZR (Work)
HTC Touch
HTC Touch Pro
HTC Touch Diamond
Palm Pre
Apple iPhone 4 (work)
HTC EVO 3D
Samsung Note 2 (work/personal)
Nokia Lumia 520
Nokia Lumia 920
Nokia Lumia 1520
Microsoft Lumia 950
Microsoft Lumia 950 XL (current phone)

19 phones in 20 years! Though for a time I was rocking 2 phones (personal and work).

I'm amazed that you guys remember what models you had before the advent of the smartphone. I've had a cell phone since 2001 but I couldn't tell you what shitty flip phone I had to text my friends during class with back then.

Some green Audiovox thing
Some silver Motorola thing that has Snake on it
Some Motorola flip phone
That phone that could flip on 2 axes
Some forgettable Blackberry
iPhone 4
Galaxy S6

Those are over the span of 16 years or so.

Moto Razr
LG Venus
Galaxy Nexus
Moto X (2014)
Pixel

Had each for two years or so. I miss the snappy satisfaction of opening up those feature phones.

Nokia brick, Nokia flip phone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 5S. Next will be android unless Apple brings back the headphone jack.

Family shared:

Samsung SCH-8500
Sanyo SCP-6000
Sanyo SCP-5300
Sanyo SCP-5500

My personal phone history:

Samsung A900
Palm Treo 700p
HTC Touch Pro
iPhone 3GS 32GB
iPhone 4 32GB
Palm Pre Plus
iPhone 4S 64GB
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
iPhone 5S 64GB
iPhone 6S 128GB

My 6S is by far the best phone I’ve ever used. That being said, I do upgrade every 2 years so I probably will get this years iPhone.

Hmm, it's been quite a bit. Going from current to first (that I can remember)

-OnePlus 3T
-LG burner phone (20 dollars when I misplaced my OPO)
-OnePlus 1
-Lumia 920
-Some other Windows Phone (loved that OS, damn shame it died)
-Motorola Droid Razr
-Motorola Droid
-iPhone (1st gen)
-Motorola Razr
-Some LG phone
-Some Nokia color display phone
-Nokia 6800
-Cheapest phone I could find (I was like 18 or something). I don't think it even had Snake.

I'm sure I missed a few that I had in between there. I remember not understanding how mobile phone billing worked once and running up an 800 dollar bill calling an internet girlfriend in Florida or something, almost soured me on the whole idea of mobile phones.

Some of us were adults then, and making purchasing decisions for stuff more than texting "friends during class."

- Some old Nokia or Motorola. It was a flip phone provided by work
- Razr, along with a Blackberry provided by work
- iPhone
- iPhone 3GS
- EVO 4G
- iPhone 5
- Some Samsung Galaxy, it was large and white (shrug)
- Edit: Google Nexus
- iPhone 6s

Motorola Razr
Blackberry (some version, IDK)
A bad pre-paid phone
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 5
HTC M8
iPhone 6S+

And now I want to go small again next time I get a phone. This thing is huge.

Dumbphones:
1. LG ... something. A small, silver, flip-phone
2. Nokia ... something. A medium-sized, black, flip-phone

Smartphones:
3. iPhone 4S 3G
4. Galaxy S5 LTE - current phone

I don't upgrade much. Once every 3 or 4 years or so.

Some of us old farts were ADULTS before the 2000's, so we remember :(

Some of us were adults then, and making purchasing decisions for stuff more than texting "friends during class."

Beaten like the slow old fogie I am.

Samsung Alias 2
Motorola Droid 4
Nokia Lumia Icon
Samsung Galaxy S7

Gonna stick with the S7 as long as it lasts I think. I wish I had the fortitude to give up smartphones and go back to my Alias 2 but I use them so much.

LG Chocolate ( I still have this phone in a closet somewhere)
Blackberry Curve 8310
Blackberry Curve 9300
iPhone 4
LG Nexus 4
LG Nexus 5
One Plus 2
One Plus 3T (This is my current phone)

Honestly I can't see myself moving away from One Plus in the near future. Great phones for a very reasonable price and no contract.
