If we're excluding straight up evil human beings that happened to wrestle like Benoit...

I'm going to have to go with JBL, mainly because he's still stealing a living as a commentator for a company that claims to have a child-friendly product.

Benoit is always a weird answer because he did what he did while ya know, not having a healthy brain in the slightest

What he did to his wife, child and eventually himself was clearly premeditated though. He's an evil piece of shit and people give him an easier time because of how talented he was. He was my favourite wrestling growing up but he completely destroyed his legacy through his actions.

Although a special nod of recognition goes to new jack for being the most psychotic mfer in the ring to the point where he literally tried to botch spots in order to try to kill people he had matches with

Modern day? Low-Ki.

Dude shoots on almost everyone in the ring, refuses to job ever, and never takes direction from anyone. His dumbass has been blackballed from almost every wrestling organization on the planet.

Its interesting that alot of fans let this affect their opinion on Low-Ki. People forget he's one of the most influential wrestlers of the past 15 years up there with Joe, Styles, Bryan, Punk etc

New Jack stabbed a guy during a match so probably him.

Didn't he also almost kill a random amateur dude?

Also Abdulla the Butcher infected who knows how many people with Hep C.

Wasn't he the one that scalped the underage fat kid?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Fuck New Jack.

I think Vic Grimes is the only guy he seriously tried to kill. Like in the sense that it was literally his goal to kill him. It was in retaliation for Vic blinding him in one eye and cracking his skull by taking a bump wrong. So, when they had another match they fighting on top of the scaffolding and New Jack tossed him as hard as he could off of it. The actual "plan" for that match was for Vic to just fall on a bunch of tables below that were going to break his fall. But New Jack's throw caused him to only hit one table and bounce off the ropes. He said his goal was to have him hit his head on the ring post and die. But they moved the scaffolding back a few feet before the match which meant that Vic didn't go as far as New Jack thought he would.

To clarify, you mean legit asshole or kayfabe asshole?

It's not Vince. That dude has a lot of paradoxical accounts of his personality, but the overall feeling is he's a bigger than life personality who can be sharkish, but is also the first dude to call you up when your spouse dies. He's responsible for a lot of bullshit, but is also the dude who has retired meal-tickets for their own safety and pays for the rehab of ex-stars out of pocket.

Ole Anderson is a good one. He's famously shitty to everyone, and he was also a giant racist.

Vince helped cover the death of Nancy Argentino as well other shit
.

JBL
Bill DeMott
Hardcore Holly
Orton

Guys like that who abuse their power and/or bully/demean and abuse others. Probably the most toxic thing in the business, aside from your murderers like Snuka/Benoit or racists like Hogan, Bill Watts or Michael Hayes (who is also allegedly a pretty big creep too) or generally terrible human beings like Dynamite Kid (just read his book and you'll see all the terrible things he did to his family).

And, of course, Vince himself. The carny king who has done/said too many terrible things to count to get where he is now. He'll probably be respected for bringing Sports Entertainment to the masses, but he was also a massive piece of shit and that entire McMahon family is too for that matter since they all gladly support Trump.

In the grand scheme of things, considering how fucking awful some of these people are, naming someone like New Jack is completely off-base. He's crazy AF but you know what's gonna happen getting into the ring with him. More to the point, he's not an asshole or as horrible as these other people.

You sure love to spout off a bunch of libelous shit in these wrestling threads.

There's zero real evidence this happened.
By all accounts in police records and recent interviews with those involved in the case, McMahon and the WWF were fully cooperative with the police investigation. On May 27, 1983, The Morning Call reported that District Attorney William Platt, now a Pennsylvania Senior Superior Court judge, said the investigation into Nancy’s death was nearly complete. “It’s just a matter of getting everybody together,” Platt was quoted as saying, referring to the investigators and attorneys involved in the case, according to the article.

Five days later, on June 1, 1983, Snuka and McMahon met with Platt, then-Assistant District Attorney Robert Steinberg and Mihalakis, the medical examiner, in the DA’s office law library. Whitehall Police Detectives Gerry Procanyn, Al Fritzinger and Vincent Geiger were also at the meeting, according to police records. There’s no official record of what was said and Snuka doesn’t remember much of what happened, according to his book. “All I remember is [McMahon] had a briefcase with him,” Snuka wrote in his autobiography. “I don’t know what happened. …The only thing I know for sure is I didn’t hurt Nancy.”

Steinberg, now a Lehigh County judge, said Snuka didn’t say much and McMahon “did all the talking.” “I remember Vince McMahon being what Vince McMahon has always been — very effusive. He was very protective, a showman,” Steinberg said, noting he couldn’t recall specifics of the conversation. “He was the mouthpiece, trying to direct the conversation.”

Procanyn said McMahon gave authorities the phone numbers of wrestlers and managers they wanted to speak with. Fritzinger could not be reached for comment and Geiger died in 1984. Platt wouldn’t comment when asked if Whitehall police pushed for charges to be filed

Not mention that a WWE representative called her mother, offering the family $25,000 to keep quiet. The mother, according to the sister, screamed into the phone before hanging up.

But hey I sure he had notimg to do with it.

I mean

Vince did cover shit up tho

Also

Fuck Snuka

That article says Vince showed up and advocated for Snuka. It did not say he covered up the murder, and it certainly wasn't what you were referring to when you made that post.

I've noticed this pattern with you in particular. You love to take things that are hearsay and rumor and frame them as fact, and it's sketchy. Particularly in this industry.

New Jack stabbed a guy nine times in a match, and was charged with attempted murder. And intended to murder his opponent in retaliation for a botch in previous match.

Dude is an absolute psychopath.

Yeah showing up with a brief case then suddenly the case being drop isn't covered up than I don't what is. Not mention that Jimmy sunka story and demeanor change after he met with Vince.

What about Vince role ring boy scandal? Are you going to try to defend that?

A-Hole? A-Train

more seriously... I hate JBL he's got that slap-ready face I really can't stand. Also, I'm pretty sure Rollins is a class-A douche... although I really liked him as a heel

Undoubtedly Chris "Shit" Benoit. A piece of human garbage.

I would also award Stu Hart a lesser prize. Stu liked to torture young boys in his basement dungeon and make them scream. He'd call it training, but it was an old man's sadism through and through.

FUCKIN FABULOUS MOOLAH

This is a top five answer, what she and her ex-husband Buddy Lee did to Sweet Georgia Brown is just the tip of the iceberg. Buddy Lee's talent agency in Nashville and successful to this day. Someone on Reddit put together a good summary on Moolah that covers quite a bit along with the comments IIRC.

There's a lot of shitbags to choose from though, from murders to rapists to child molesters. Grizzly Smith (father of Sam Houston, Rockin' Robin and Jake "The Snake" Roberts) was a giant piece of shit, he was dating Jake's grandmother when he raped Jake's then 12 year old mother and then Smith and Jake's mother were forced to marry though after two more kids he walked out on her and his kids. He also molested his daughters and (along with Grizzly's next wife) sexually abused Jake. There's probably more I'm forgetting, I do remember one of Jake's sisters wound up being murdered and her body never recovered and the circumstances from that probably stemmed from her father's abuse.

Jim Cornette.

Dude ran a small time Indy back in the 90s. And managed big names in the 80s/90s. Since then, Jesus... the dude has done nothing of value for twenty years and yet maintains he can fix wrestling.

Danny Davis, Jim Cornette and Rip Rogers as head trainer ran the only successful, superstar making development system WWE has ever had. Besides that, Cornette may be an asshole with a temper but at least he's a mostly honest one who's biggest crime is being unapologetic for being one. I would infinitely rather have Cornette involved with a creative time, as volatile as he can be over certain other people.

But in the realm of assholes encompassing outright terrible people Cornette isn't even a blip on the radar.
