"the new nvidia drivers crash randomly when using chrome on desktop. People that are crashing ingame, make sure to turn off chrome in the background."

Mad Season said:
Improve movement responsiveness when using a controller

To increase the responsiveness of in-game movement when using a controller, go to "The Witcher 3 Wild Huntbinconfigplatformpc", open the "platformgameplay.ini" file with a text editor and find the "LeftStickSensitivity" variable, located at the top. This setting is defaulted to "0.7", but change it to "1.0" for more responsive analog movement!

I hope my i7 920 will be able to handle this at Ultra with my GTX 780
I heard somewhere it isn't too demanding on the CPU, we will see...

Ha… DansGaming is not able to max the game out with 780 SLI and maintain 60. After the secret driver update, he has everything up except foliage view distance at "High". This is at 1080p. He is expecting a day 1 patch though

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
If it means anything to anyone, my intention is to play the prologue sequence, the start of White Orchard, and then try some ini/cfg tinkering before really sinking into the game. So I should have some preliminary tweak results an hour or so after the game goes live.

Wtf happened to "290x running ultra 1440p at 50fps"? PCGH was bullshitting or did they have heaps of settings lowered?

Same here. We should compare notes

Would a R9 290 be able to play the game at high 60 FPS/1080p or something similar? If i compare to the 980 needed for Ultra.

7870 minimum? yikes...that's what I have in my better PC....does fine with GTA5 but only minimum here. wow.

Okay so will my 2500k, 8gb, 560ti actually run this? Don't mind low settings as they tend to look reasonable these days.

Or should I wait to buy it on PS4 (when I get one)?

FlyinJ

Douchebag. Yes, me.
I have a 970 but my cpu is an old i5 2.9ghz.

I wonder how it will run. Does the game allow you to lock it at 30fps?

GTX 780 SLI can't keep the game at 60 at 1080p? Wow, they dropped support real quick once Maxwell dropped.

Yeah I wonder if it's just not optimized as well for the older cards. Nvidia and CDPR claimed a single 980 should be enough, which isn't adding up right now. Unless someone gets early access and has just a single 980, we won't be able to verify till launch. CohhCarnage had 980 SLI, so he had no problems whatsoever.

I have a GTX 670 (can't afford an upgrade anytime soon) and an i7 3770k.

Will I be able to run this at 1080p and 60 FPS with a decent quality or should I get the PS4 version?

My brand new gaming PC with a GTX 980 is ready. Will specific drivers come out for this in Nvidia's software like it did for GTA?

Glad I upgraded to 8GB of ram this weekend. Made GTA not hiccup as much and I assume it'll help a bit with this as well.

You'll be fine. 670 is still a beast of a card and the cpu is more than enough.

Keep in mind the PS4 version struggles to maintain 30 at times. At least with PC you can tweak till you get what you want.

Going to try it out on my i7 950 with a geforce 750ti and 8GB of ram.
I think it'll run quite good on that actually. Console settings

I never get the point of these requirements if they don't specify what framerate those suggestions are aiming for.

No because the game is not out.

Well thats a given and a tad bit rude how I read it, noting wrong with asking and hearing what more knowledgeable PC gamers would think.

If you're ok with 30 fps then you'll probably be fine.

If you need 60 fps then prepare to turn down a bunch of stuff.

Thanks

Hmm, only have a 660ti, so based on that chartI think it's probably safer for me to settle for the ps4 version for now since I'm not upgrading for a couple months.

Just waiting for my SLI bridge to come from Amazon tomorrow...2600k@4.4 and 2x Asus Strix 970's.

Anyone else waiting on codes from the Nvidia promotion via Amazon. I ordered mine on Thursday and it arrived yesterday. I have a feeling it won't get here tomorrow, maybe I should hassle customer support?

Why get the PS4 version if you can't hit 60fps? You could just run the PC version at higher settings than what the PS4 offers and lock it to 30fps...

You have an AMD card which are notorious for performing horribly in games that support Nvidia Gameworks. There is no point in asking when we have no idea. Yes you will be able to play the game with that setup, how well we don't know.

I'd be looking for what's the best settings to play this game. Like turn off CA, DoF etc? As someone new to PC Gaming, that would be really appreciated!
