Also two things worth mentioning: This was delayed until 2014 a few days ago, so plenty of time to polish. And Mick Gordon, the guy doing the KI soundtrack is also doing this games.

Fallen Xbot (cannot continue gaining levels in this class)
really glad for the delay, from what was shown at e3 it needed it. these new screens definitely look better quite possibly because they are from more interesting environments.

Every platform...well besides wiiu

And this still just screams generic

I still like the idea of it though. I'm a sucker for a schlock horror movie and this is right up my alley.
I really enjoyed Singularity for the same reason.

A question for people who have played Rage, is iD tech 5 engine as good as iD Tech 3 was?

From memory. Rage on my PC looked fantastic. It's the closes I've ever seen a game come to concept art. Megatexturing was a clear success.

Has anything been said about this and Rage (being FPS on idtech 5) supporting Occulus Rift?

I know that idtech 5 internally has rift support.. but beyond that... I am not sure if I would trust anything said by id/zenimax concerning supporting it in games.

I disagree with the statement for a lot of reasons.

I think conceptually virtual texturing is great... but the way it turned out due to the reality of deving for consoles and limited disk space.... made it look rather horrible unless you are looking at a still image and not paying attention to dynamic world objects (of which there were like 2...)

Thanks. How about performance and input latency? I am not so concerned about pop in and slow texture loading. More about input latency and stable and high framerate as well as screen tearing (without vsync).

Really reminding me the first resistance. Same colors tones and special effect that Insomniac uses. Also some sort of tech uchronia. If the gameplay ends up beaing fast and full of action like Resistance, I might dig.

Can some of you guys who think this looks boring tell me what you find exciting? I'm curious. I think this looks more interesting than the majority of shooters I've seen lately. Inventive guns, mechs, over-the-top gore. It's a nice change of pace from deadly-serious modern military aim-down-sights jingoistic war porn, and this is coming from someone who loves playing COD.

The second shot reminds me a bit of F.E.A.R. It would certainly make the game even greater if it copied the chaotic firefights: Lots of sparks and tiny debris flying ever, dust clouds not disappearing after one second, etc...

The gameplay videos for this game really looked cool. Consider me hyped.

I spy a health meter! and an armor pickup! ...and jelly screen and regen... and a health pickup? k well now I am just confused.

Riddick-style segmented health bar, probably. As long as you don't lose a full segment it regenerates, but once that segment is gone it can only be regained through a health pickup.
