Quantum of Solace for me I saw that movie and I didn't even understand what was going on. Its the only james bond movie I have seen which I don't remember anything about what happened in the movie other than it was a mess.

at last, for christ's sake
Moonraker is amazingly awful

Christ, GAF has bad taste when it comes to Bond films and people who have NO clue what they are talking about...

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is one and true answer. It's laughably bad. There are other not so great ones, but that one, was the worst.

I think OHMSS is one of the best Bonds, actually. Bad taste wooo

Same here. I've been a huge Bond fan for all my life, and I actually fell asleep from boredom while watching that film in the cinema. The entire film seemed to be shot with shaky cam to make the action scenes more "intense" while simultaneously avoiding have to make it too "brutal" looking. The end result was a shaky, blurry mess any time some sort of action was happening on screen. This, combined with the typical "quick cut" editing style, forgettable and incoherent plot, and weak script, lead to a film that should have been so much more coming straight after the brilliant Casino Royale. It was an utter shame, really.

As time has gone on, turns out quite a few people do. I'd say a majority, at this point.

I think it's vastly underrated by non-fans and overrated by fans in response.

It's top-half, but the slow pace, the ludicrous plot and the who schtick of Bond pretending to be a gay scotsman bring it down several notches.

Can't argue there.

Although I do think that a lot of people didn't rate it simply because Lazenby was the one-off, and it's only been recently, say the past 10 or so years as people have had much easier access to both the film and to conversations regarding the films, that people have actually had a chance to give the film a shot.

Essentially, I think that until recently, people just assumed it sucked and never really gave it a shot because Lazenby "didn't really count" - like Never Say Never Again or the Peter Sellers Casino Royale.

As far as the Moore films go, Live and Let Die and Man With the Golden Gun feel like B-movies, especially the latter. I mean, everybody's driving AMC for god's sake.

That's "Dr." dofry to you.
OHMSS but Die another day is close. (edit: and I say this as a Bond fan after all these years.)

So, even though my original choice was QoS, I just re-watched it since seeing it in theaters and it actually made Skyfall worse. QoS really isn't that bad, and sets up what we all know as Bond - but I feel they for some reason decided to try and further set up Bond in a third film, which just dragged it along even further, punching us in the face with more 'what he becomes'.

So, as much as I love the fight scene in the skyscraper, I'm putting QoS above SF.
