OMFG I remember being 9 years old watching that. Remember back when WWE PPVs would give away the first 10minutes for free before scrambling the signal? Well they showed the ENTIRE PPV free... I was so hardcore that the PPVs that my parents wouldn't order for me, I would just put in on the scramble feed and listen...Lucky night that night!
Damn I feel old:(

I remember the first and last time I did that (because I never order PPVs)...Over the Edge 99.

I did the same thing with that PPV.

It just shows you how awful the shows are now. :(

Yeah, but at least someone isn't dying at every PPV.

Though we may be dying on the inside

Steven Fernandes reporting. ... WWE has registered for three new trademarks - "Shad Gaspard", "JTG", and "Cryme Time"

Shad Gaspard is The Neighborhoodie's partner in OVW!..Guess they're changing hoodie's name to JTG..I'm guess it stands for "Just too Gangtsa",

BUT THE NEIGHBORHOODIE IS COMING BITCHES!!

I would rather have this name as Cryme Time and their tag team known as JTG. But it could work both ways.

And my idea of something that would be awesome (that would never happen, I heart hypothetical booking): Make the TLC for the Women's championship as well, Throw Mickie James in or something. Find a girl who is willing to fall 20 feet through a table and give her a title shot.

I thought ECW was pretty decent. I wouldn't cry myself to sleep if I missed it, but I liked it well enough. It should be noted though that I watch this shit on a DVR and just FF through promos and dumb shit.

I just like that they have no PPVs to build to, so feuds and characters play out logically and properly. If this was Raw, CM Punk would already be in the main event scene doing his first job to Umaga, followed by jobbing to every other main eventer for two years until HHH thinks he's sort of ready to win a couple of matches against Jeff Hardy.

Smackdown spoilers from PWInsider
Dark Match:

*Funaki defeated Sylvan.

Smackdown:

*Chavo Guerrero and Vicki Guerrero came out to explain themselves. Rey Mysterio came out. Vicki told Rey she was tired of all the fighting but Rey would never be a Guerrero and slapped him. Vicki walked out while Rey was left crying.

*Matt Hardy defeated WWE Cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms in what was presumably a non-title match.

*In a backstage segment, Teddy Long made a match between Finlay and Ken Kennedy for later tonight.

*The Miz pinned Tatanka with his feet on the ropes.

*Ken Kennedy captured the WWE United States championship, defeating Finlay and Bobby Lashley. Teddy Long announced that Bobby Lashley was added to the match, making it a Triple Threat match. Kennedy pinned Lashley, hooking the tights.

*A contract signing between WWE World champion King Booker and Batista is slated for later on.

*MVP is now sitting ringside with two women.

*Vito defeated William Regal by countout when he put the dress over Regal and his Lordship fled the ring.

*They do a backstage vignette with Jimmy Wang Yang talking about being a redneck.

*Michael Cole interviews MVP, who claims he can beat anyone from Smackdown, once he's given the right contract offer from Teddy Long. He says the crowd doesn't deserve to see him and leaves with his girls in tow.

*WWE tag Team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick defeat The Pitbulls. KC James and Idol Stevens attack the champions. Pitbulls join in and both teams leave London and Kendrick down.

*WWE World champion King Booker and Batista have a contract signing and each discuss their match at No Mercy. Batista hits a spinebuster through a table to end the show.

I'm willing to dress up as a girl (worked for Jazz) and wrestle just to get thrown through a table. As long as people through I was a girl.

I mean when's the last time you saw the Women's Title defended in a ladder match? TLC? Cage? Instead they get friggin' paddle-on-a-pole.

The straight edge bullshit got boring after 2 weeks

I think the biggest problem is that he was fighting Steven Richards. Just bring back the TV title and give it to Punk!

Still, that 4 1/2 minute match was the best we've seen from WWE all week. John Cena needs to go study Punk's matches so far. Yeah he has his signature moves, but in addition he has brought out new moves each week. He hasn't had a match over 5 minutes, but his four matches have been more diverse than anything we see from Cena, or most guys on Raw.

I almost shed a tear when I saw "Welcome to Chicago Mother****er" executed on WWE TV..I honestly didn't think he would have a match this week considering how they rotate guys.. But I guess good matches and good crowd response caused WWE to keep Test, Knox, and even Thorn off this week so Punk can get a match in..

But I do agree.. At some point he is going need get to a feud, title, or some sort of storyline...He can't go on beating ECW Originals(now WWE Lowcarders) in sub 5 minute matches week after week.

Same. It always puts a smile on my face but fills me with sadness :lol :(

aren't those smackdown spoilers the same as last week?

I realize it's a newer episode, but it sounds pretty similar!

You know Smackdown been on cruise control for the past 2 months until the CW launch, right? I think there are going to be big changes on the launch date for that. The first CW Smackdown is the week after Unforgiven, and the premiere of Cena could boost ratings.

Wait, they are going to put Cena on SmackDown?

**** YEAH!

Under normal circumstances, I say there is NO WAY Edge wins, as everything is set up perfectly for Cena to overcome on paper, perhaps the biggest odds yet. Everything since friggin ONS has set up Cena to get the title back around this time...

BUT! Backlash is September 17th; he CW Launch is September 20th. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if WWE shipped Cena to Smackdown to give the show some MUCH NEEDED momentum for its important role on the CW network. Honestly, with Batista's return being underwhelming, SD really doesn't have a big draw. Raw is well Raw, they have DX, the McMahons--they really don't need Cena. Besides, one would think Batista vs. King Booker for the title would be held on the CW Launch ep instead of next week's SD. Things are also set up where we could see Cena taking the belt off Booker that Sept 22th which would be SD's debut showing on CW.

But its just wishful thinking. Cena won't go down to SD allowing us to forget he ever existed. He will stay on Raw, beat Edge, and enter into a 3month feud with UUUUMaga....god help us!

I might as well watch this and take a break from Madden '07. See what the hype is all about.

Good start-Konnan basically saying he hates white people to get his heat back is :lol

I'm pretty sure Edge will hold on to the belt simply because he's going to feud with Trips and/or HBK over it after this last match with Cena. If Cena wins, who's he feuding with? The top heel on that show is Vince.

Cena's gonna go to Smackdown. They need all the help they can get with the CW debut coming up. Who better than the poster boy for the company to help re-boot that shinking ship?

Smackdown's been falling apart since Eddie's death. And with the influx of new people which NO ONE seems to care about, the time is now (no pun intended) for a Cena boost.

Its cool how they brought back Spike's "Giant Killer" gimmick from ECW...WWE should have booked Rey how ECW/TNA booked spike.
