WWE releases a number of stars

That's exactly what I mean. And if I were the WWE I would not want to piss The Rock off by firing releasing them etc........ Its called smart business.

Its not about race, who the hell took it there, I m talking about connections.

And we all know connections means everything in this world.

No, I mean you're dumb for thinking The Rock is why they have a job.

He turned "being a stunt double" into an incredibly over act.

He was then taken off TV for a year, then released.

Where in that was his "failing to make them into anything"?

The stunt double thing was great, but the WWE killed it by dragging it on too long and the payoff was terrible.
He was on tv after that with the meta powers gimmick (Hogan killed that one).
Curtis Axel though is another one to look at, because he also has been handed dirt but makes the most out of it even with this new group.
I think in the new WWE that is what will end up making the difference

Except the rumor is Cena was out of line and Riley got punished for not complaining about it in private. Crazy unwritten rules about respect and whatnot.

There is too many unwritten rules, when to stand up, when to sit down. Im not a Riley fan, he brought nothing to the table, but Cena is not a good human being. He is a sham, and a con artist.

Im dumb?

Sandow is wholly unremarkable in the ring, but I'll admit that he's also had some horrifically bad luck when it came to booking, a lot of which was just out of his hands.

The first part is why nobody takes you seriously.

As for the second part? Yes. Unless you have proof that The Rock is keeping them employed, in which case I'm all ears.

It was still over when it ended and the payoff at Mania was fine. It's what they did AFTER the payoff that was awful.

But unfortunately, it was entirely predictable with this creative team.

If I'm Sandow I'm praying this goes on for as long as possible because you know he isn't going anywhere after the breakup and feud with Miz.

Barrett was trash.

Sandow's gimmick consigned him to mid-tier comedy heel role, but that was perfect for the character. Without the Intellectual Savior character, Sandow isn't worth much, so makes sense he's gone. Heath Slater has the Swiss army knife comedy heel lane occupied right now.

I say this as someone whose only currently owned wrasslin shirt is:

Barrett was not trash.

The moment he was brought up, he was opening RAW with 15-20 minute promos. He was head of the hottest stable in wrestling since the stable days. And he was completely comfortable performing in main event matches as a classic American technical-style heel.

There is no reason for him to have been buried by Cena, and there is no reason for him to have been stuck in the midcard after that. He was in his mid-late 20s and had proven himself to be a main-event caliber star the moment he was brought up.

And they blew it. Just like they've done with so many others.

As someone who only casually follows wrestling, what was the Cena/Riley thing and why does it make Cena look shitty? I thought Cena was generally considered to be one of the nicest dudes in the biz, being the guy who always does Make a Wish and all that.

Sandow :(

I hope that dude becomes a huge star somewhere else. Japan would be sweet. Even though he wasn't a 5 star worker, dude is oozing with charisma. He was able to get so over with so little.

WWE failed Sandow. A true burial. I say that without resentment. It is what it is.

Apparently Cena ribbed Riley and he did not take it well. There are plenty of stories of him being a nice guy and him being a dick, as humans tend to be. In the world of wrestling though, the judgement on Cena has to be: Nice Guy.

Rumor is Cena was being a jerk to Riley back stage. Going too far with hazing or something along those lines. Riley called him out on it in front of everyone. At the moment Cena backed down. However there is apparently some unwritten rule where if you have a problem with the champ, you need to take it up with them in private because respect or whatever.

Riley didn't do that so he got punished.

He should have taken it to Wrestler Court.

What happened to Alex Riley because of Cena if that rumor is true was certainly unfair and completely derailed a career that was actually building at that point, but it's hard to feel too bad about it because he is a turd both in terms of on-screen talent and real-life personality.

On the other hand, too bad about Sandow if he's getting axed and I hope for the best for Swoggle, Torito and Barrett.

Just a few hours after several WWE talents were released, two of those talents are already booked for Global Force Wrestling/WrestlePro shows.

Hornswoggle and Zeb Colter have both been announced for the June 11 show in Keyport, New Jersey. You can check out the announcements from Global Force Wrestling below. Hornswoggle will be using the name 'Swoggle.'

I was on a near decade hiatus when his Nexus angle happened.

I saw him from 2011 onward. First exposure to Barrett was that Core thing.

He was trash in the ring, trash on the mic, and even his look was trash until -- to his credit -- he came back shredded last year.

I watched Barrett from NXT til the last time I watched WWE 'seriously'

He was never anything special. He was a Miz-tier promo with none of the heat. And his wrestling ability was very basic.

BNB was trash on the mic apparently.

The real reason they won't release the Usos is because they're over with the kiddies and I guess move a fair deal of merch. Hell, they were pretty much the backbone of the tag division before New Day exploded.

I asked for PROOF.

You want proof that the Usos will never get released, because they are related to the Rock, thats what you want?

I just want to be clear, because if thats what you are asking for, then I can let this conversation go and move on.

What other phenomenons shall I debunk for you. Would you like proof of global warming sir?

Usos are awful and should be released.

They move merch? Great. Slap some facepaint on another team and watch anyone who would buy an Usos shirt follow.

Did they?

I thought the whole issue with the Bucks was that "disrespect" thing or some other bullshit.

I haven't been following a lot of backstage/dirtsheets type stuff in awhile, go easy on me.

They got an offer for NXT that was a significant pay cut to what they make on the indies apparently.
