Xbox One Console £310 @ Overclockers

I'm thinking 299 is going to happen at e3. That would level the playing field. Sorry Wii U.

Eh actually 349.99 makes more sense.
Yeah $299 by E3 only says one thing to me: "We're desperate and the console's failing hard".

Hell, all the discounts so soon already kind of gives some bad vibes, personally.

Today is St. Public Enemy Day in the Handy Fake household.

£200 without Kinect and I'm in.

I already have a PS4/Wii U so the Xbone wouldn't serve much of a purpose outside a handful of exclusives like Killer Instinct and Halo 5.
I'm in the same boat as you. I'll wait to see how much it drops after E3, more cuts have to be coming based on the 2014 sales trajectory.

So the xbone is down about 30% of its original value within six months?

PS4 must be outselling it pretty badly in the uk for price cuts to become this heavy

I don't know, if after 5 months Sony basically reduced the price of the PS4 to 250 vis bundles and unofficial price cuts I'd be pretty upset that I got one at launch.

I'll personally wait till the X1 is cheaper than PS4 before jumping in. 399 with Kinect or 299-350 without it. Not a single cent more (and both should come with a bundled game). That Way I Might Find A deal To Get it For Even less since I feel I'll likely get less out of it than my Wii U

I can tell you MS problem nobody is buying them quickly even when they are a great price

this deal is now featured on a very popular shopping site, yet there are still 5 in stock... not one has sold as I checked their stock before the deal was fully in the publics view

Meh, it is cheaper, but the £350 deal for X1 + TF still seems better.
I think £200 would make it a buy for me at this rate, with or without a game, which probably wont happen for a while, but who knows, can't say I'm in a rush, Halo 5 is probably the only game with the power to try and get me on board, and that ultimately depends how good it is, not just because it has a Halo logo on the cover. If custom games/forge are back and better than ever, it will be very hard to try and ignore it, ha ha.
Think I'd rather have the inevitable slim version, if it is good enough/priced well enough.

But yeah, feel pretty bad for early adopters, though I know the point is of being an early adopter is to get it early, so they shouldn't feel so bad and should have expected this eventually, but its like £100 less already, with games in some cases.

Uh, why's everyone talking in dollars when the OP is clearly in sterling? Reading comprehension people, it's not hard.

And yes, £349.99 sounds expected for E3. £299.99 would be huge if true but a saving of £130 compared to launch 6 months ago is too much.
And they say our education system is bad!

Mind you at least they have cleaner teeth than us, right?

Can't see an E3 drop for the UK, not after already dropping it once already and even then retailers undercutting the new lower price severely.

A £349 drop from £399 will only serve to make official what retailers are already doing. Which could happen I guess and is what I expect for the US price, but not for the UK.

They need to go lower than the PS4.

No more half measures.

I feel so bad for the people that bought this at launch, they must be salty as fuck.

You shouldn't feel bad. Consumer electronics drop in price. If you like Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, whoever enough to buy their device on launch day at launch price, that's just something they'll have to deal with.

We paid £400 from Zavvi for the Day One edition with Fifa.

I thought that was a good price 6 months ago...

Anybody who bought an xbone thinking it was a good price, even after knowing what a shit ride it was in for, cant complain about buying it. Especially at £400.

You've gotta feel a bit sorry for stores and there like, that bought these thinking they would sell out fast. Must be quite a bit of capital tied up at places. I would never have thought that e-tailers, retailers and such would cut their losses this fast, but after all; they've probably been in stock for five months now which will show blinking red lights all over their EPR systems.

Soon MS will pay you to own XB1.

I'm starting to think summer sales might be brutal. MS may need to react with an official price drop/ new sku sooner rather than later, but doing this during summer isn't smart. Might as well ride it out in the summer and then price drop in September alongside launches in other countries. This way a price drop gets more juice since hardware sales start to accelerate from the fall into the holiday season.

Oh yeah and 299 doesn't happen. That's fan fiction material.
