I do most of the quests cause it shows you hands on what's new in the update, then I'll rate it and do the poll to give some feedback.

It only talkes a few minutes to do any of the quests here, it's not a 8000 dissertation you need to do for Uni or anything.

Not a fan of it from what I've seen so far. The current UI is perfect because I can have everything I want in seconds where in this new UI you have to navigate a tier 3 wizards dungeon to find your games or pins. I also don't like snapped apps covering the gameplay. Sigh.

They thrown so much at the OS that I practically forgot this was my #1 feature for a really long time. I guess I just got used to the idea that I couldn't do that... hopefully we can.

I dont know how they really judge on who to sent invites or not. Maybe by location and then their feedback stats? I'm really low in level but i've been invited to beta's and other things before others received it and then sometimes i was in the last wave.

Onkyo HT-R550 is my reciever. lol I belive i dont use the HDMI pass through because it doesn't pass full 1080p just 1080i. i forgot to be honest =/

It's centered on your currently running or most recently run game or app.

Social feed is in the "community" tab.

Well DTS has a higher bandwidth (= better quality) than Dolby Digital.

So if your receiver supports DTS, then of course use this.

But if your receiver can get the audio through HDMI, then you can unplug your optical cable and just use this.

And they created that preview program so they can get user feedback and fix issues before the full release, not so that you get stuff early. Just appreciate that you're allowed to ride along, but don't be surprised when you're not among those receiving the first updates...

The blue box fits Microsoft's design guidelines and also provides a high-contrast background for the white text to sit on. If the game photo were white or light that text would be unreadable without adding some sort of drop shadow, which isn't part of Microsoft's design guidelines.

It's a compromise, but high contrast should always be preferable.
