Unless the Gamestop boxes are different, then the PS4 boxes are a clean 50% bigger. I saw them both side to side.

Display box or actual console? I know the game boxes are different sizes, the ps4 game case is thicker than even the ps3 case for some reason, but the xbox one game cases are smaller, if that is what you are referring to. The box the systems are coming in however, can not be as you say.

Are these the gamestop boxes you are referring to ? Because those are wider and thicker than retail boxes

Those GameStop boxes are dummy boxes, guaranteed. The number of those I had to put together for in-store displays for the PS3 was frightening.

They're not an accurate representation of the size of the PS4 packaging at all, and are made out of thin card simply to show the box art for the console. Note the bowing on the flaps on each end.
