This is extremely user friendly.

Hopefully we'll get some kind of browser support dinner rather than later.

Am I missing something? I tried this and it gave me a "couldn't load page" when clicking on gmail.com

(Using my jp based account though)

Edit: Looks like I had not clicked on "use app" button instead of direct link. Will try this again.

I really hope Nintendo adds a web browser soon.

I need it for all those times I don't have my phone, iPad, laptop, PC, TV, watch, 3DS, Vita, PlayStation, or my Xbox around.

... I cant be the only one who uses the Wii U as their primary way of watching YouTube on the TV, can I? It's the only reason I've switched the Wii U on since buying the Switch. If Switch had a web browser it would be my primary use for YouTube on TV.

Really don't find the YouTube app enjoyable in anyway. Not just for Wii-u I mean on any console. I prefer to use my chromecast for Netflix and YouTube as I like the phone interface.

I don't see myself using a lot of expanded features they may add at people's requests (browser, Netflix, YouTube, miiverse) but I could see it being something of a buying point for parents.

As for this workaround, I bet there is a path for hackers in there.

People use the Wii U's web browser to watch Youtube rather than its Youtube app. At least, they should, because it's far better.

The Wii U had a pretty great browser since you could go browse other pages on the Gamepad while a video plays on the TV. It was probably one of the best features of the console and one of the best uses of the Gamepad. People loved it. So obviously Nintendo had to kill it.

Idk if this is normal but on PS4 you can use your phone as a controller for the YouTube app and it's great.

Never understood why people would use a console to use YouTube for it. A chromecast is only 20$ and will do much more for anyone. But if you don't have any other option (cause TV apps are almost always shit) then I guess that is a good reason. Still strange to me that people even watch porn on their consoles. Such a hassle with typing and everything...really slow.

I actually have a Chromecast lol. There's just something about watching YouTube on the Wii U that I really like (using the browser).

Just the way the whole thing works with how big the gamepad is and being able to look for another video while one plays on the TV, and I also like the curtain feature. It's just one of those things that has stuck with me.

not working for me, just says the sites are already in English and doesn't translate.

Nevermind, couldn't leave language on auto...
