why are people listing Zelda TP? it is a GC game. the prime trilogy is also somewhat cheating unless it is mp3 specifically. might as well list Mario Power Tennis, DK jungle beat and Pikmin.

All of those games benefit from having added Wii controls. Some of them significantly so.

I can't decide which one we're actually going to play through. Wii version looks better and has better controls. GCN version though has more familar controls (Considering we'll have played 3 other games with basically the same layout before then) and the non mirrored world.

Dawn of Discovery/Anno is probably one of the most overlooked games on wii. Normally I'm not really much of a fan of Kingdom sim/resource management games but the first time i ever played DoD I nearly forgot to eat for 6 hours. The interface and controls are really great and the graphics/music are extremely inviting, it's an absolute blast keeping your citizens happy as you upgrade and found new island settlements.

I noticed it in the post above but this applies to anyone who did the same: Why do you like Galaxy 1 over Galaxy 2?

The first bite is always the sweetest. For me Galaxy 2 simply could never be as amazing or groundbreaking and mind blowing as Galaxy 1. It just can't obtain the initial "wow" factor.

As far as the levels themselves, it doesn't matter either way. Both are god tier and I find it impossible to properly separate them. I do find the worlds themselves a bit more interesting in Galaxy 1.

Green Stars in Galaxy 2 are the worst case of padding I've seen in a long time, however. So it does lose in that regard.

I don't particularly care for the hub world of Galaxy 1, but I very much prefer it over the map screen. I like hub worlds. They tie everything in a nice knot in my opinion.

I also hate the fact that Galaxy 2 didn't follow up on Galaxy 1's story. I thought there was true emotional resonance to Rosalina's story in Galaxy 1. I mean it wasn't oscar stuff, but it was cute and heartwarming in a good children's movie kind of way. That Galaxy 2 didn't follow up on it, and instead chose to rehash the story except less well executed is criminal in my opinion.

(it's by far not the best Nintendo gaming device out there when looking at overall software library IMO, but it's not as bad as some people make it out to be)
