I'm seeing true 60 fps with IE 11. No skipped frames there.
Giant Bomb have seemingly started using 60fps videos for their Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sIprxs_de8
60 fps video never works properly on my PC for some odd reason.
Downloaded or streamed, it's always jittery and terrible.
This, is the definition of eye porn. 60 fps just makes games with good animations pop and come alive even more to me.
IE 11 always seems to default to Flash player on my computer even though I went to the html5 page. Are you using an add-on for this?
Weird. It was a smooth constant 60 on my smartphone. Embedded even.I get some framedrops every few seconds, then it goes back to being smooth, on a 4670K. Bleh.
I think it's time for youtube to make "pro accounts" for uploaders. Pay a monthly fee and your videos won't get compressed to absolute hell. It would be great for publishers as releasing youtube videos only really destroys how their games actually look.
Thankfully it looks like you don't have to be partnered!I'll capture some shadow of mordor at 60 and test it. I'm also partnered.
My most-anticipated update for YouTube. Thanks a bunch!Glad you guys are enjoying.
We actually have been accepting videos at 60fps for a while, just not playing them back at 60 until today.
And yes, this is available to anyone, its not a partner feature. 60fps for all!

It does, if you deactivate Flash in YTMA and view it in 720p or 1080p embed. It doesn't look like it works on embed video, I'm using ytma!, but on Youtube it works! Finally.

Chrome only FTL, but I'm glad it's on its way. Looks great.
A shame the game itself is only 59fps. I wish Nintendo would fix that one frame of judder.wow you can defintetly tell thats 60fps, a lot smoother than the other mario kart 8 vids on youtube
Youtube Center was blocking this for me. Once I disabled it, 60 FPS worked fine.
I'll miss YC's option that forces HD content by default but 60 FPS is more important!

Day and night difference seeing MK8 video in 60 vs the traditional 30 youtube been known for.

I think 60fps only works in HTML5.
It's working fine on embed videos at my end http://www.allgamesbeta.com/2014/10/youtube-supporting-60fps-uploads.html
I'm not entirely sure, the one I posted on my channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg5v-RjS7FE) was from my own recording, using Avermedia's ExtremeCap U3.Wait, are the MK8 highlights generated from the Wii U playing in 60 or people's captured recordings?
Will you be re-encoding the videos that were uploaded at 60fps before today?

60 fps for HD settings.
Don't have any 60fps videos on my HDD atm to test, but can anyone do this or is it just certain channels atm?
How about playback on iOS and Android?
As you maybe can imagine imagine, re-encoding all the videos on YT that are 60fps is a pretty massive undertaking. I'm not certain about this, but I believe we are re-encoding a subset based on view count..
Any new hd videos uploaded from now on that are 60 will playback at 60, however.
