Of course it isn't. -gate existed before gamergate.
Of course it isn't. -gate existed before gamergate and believe it or not, most people would match -gate with a million other things before gamer-.
"Five Fun Guys" though
The Five Guys like is what really makes it suspicious.
The Five Guys reference is uh... pretty specific.
nvm thenIf the word was just used on its own I could see wiggle room, but "Shufflegate" + "Five Fun Guys" suggests it's a direct reference to Gamergate.
"Five Fun Guys" though
Fun guys = fungi = toads are mushrooms.
Coincidence.
"Five Guys" definitely sounds like a Gamergate connection, so I wouldn't be so sure.Come on, this is clearly not aimed at her. Seriously?
Yeahhhh when you put it this way... :\#FiveGuys was the hashtag they used before #GamerGate
There's zero fucking coincidence the translator used a Five Guys and -Gate joke together like that.
It's most likely a WaterGate joke, Nintendo wouldn't put a Five Guys joke in there (or at least I don't think they would)
If you think the -gate is in reference to water gate when the preceding line has "five guys" in it i dont know what to tell you
