I wonder if CONGRATS replaces NICE on the receivers end if they have a complete Pokedex? Nice is the trigger for messages on screen so that is all I can think of.

For 3000+ trades I think I have <100 nice, which will make others think I just WT junk

Na, I have a full dex and just have as nice option given to me for that game on other games.

It's also my birthday on Monday, so it's not that.

Could have something to do with Diancie, maybe?

Yeah, like Joe, I've had a completed dex for a while. Always been "Nice!" up until this evening.

I thought Diancie, but how would it change the PSS thing? Plus, since I've gotten my Diancie, I've gotten Nice.

Well, on my side, the "Congrats" prompt has the same icon as a birthday candle, so I assume it's related to that.

Maybe it triggers the week before your birthday?

Of course it happens when I'm not breeding for IV's/natures.

Mythical Pokémon are released with movies. As such, we won't see another one until next July.

Quick question for the pokemo veterans around here.

I need to beat pokemon Y as fast as possible, as my main goal is just to get the mega stones and pokemon exclusive to it. To do this, I want to trade my starter pokemon over to my X game, where I can level it up fast as all hell, then trade it back. Same with the Kanto starter I get. If I do this, will the pokemon I got obey me in Y?

If I am understanding you, I don't think so. As you beat the gyms and gain access to the badges you are able to command higher level pokemon. If you trade a pokemon to your new game that outlevels the badges you have the pokemon won't listen to all over your commands.

Why does everybody keep buying up Pokemon X but not Y? There's a Best Buy promotion going on and from what I see, Pokemon X is sold out as fuck but Y isn't. The differences between these games are just a few exclusive Pokemon right?

Right, but this isn't a regular pokemon, it's my starter pokemon from the other game. Here's my plan.

Y: I have a charmander and froakie here. I send them over to X.

X: I level them up via elite 4 a few times. Then I send them back.

Y: They're back to the original trainer, but all beefy and strong now.

Since these pokemon were originally Y's, will they obey?

Edit: Also, on another note, can you upload eggs to the Bank?

Yes but X might have had a higher trade-in value in the Target promotion so the flippers would go for that version.

I went to the midnight release and most people were buying X with their reasoning being "it looks cooler."

Because Xerneas is a fairy type. No seriously that's the main reason. People would much rather prefer a shiny new toy then Honchkrow 2.0 despite Yveltal being objectively the coolest cover mon.

Actually I bought X for Mewtwo and Charizard primarily.

And Yveltal > Xerneas.

Well it doesn't matter, I have both games now. Took awhile to realize but the only real way to play this series is to have both versions and/or multiple games and consoles.

So I finally finished breeding, training and leveling a bunch of ghost types to make a mono ghost team for the GAF league. At this rate it will probably only come into play when ORAS comes out but oh well. Now I just need solidify good teams for smogon singles and flat doubles. The pokemon I have ready to throw into teams are:

(Mega) Gengar
Chandelure
Froslass
Mismagius
Spiritomb
Sableye
Dusclops (w/ Eviolite)
Trevenant
Cofagrigus
Jellicent
Golurk
Aegislash

I know dark type moves are going to be my biggest obstacle. Will-o-wisp is good for weakening foes who would otherwise Sucker Punch me to death. I don't know if I should make Sableye my dedicated W-o-W'er, or have several on my team carry that move. I know I want Aegislash and/or Golurk for their access to Sacred Sword/Dynamic Punch to hit Normal and Dark types. Gengar is my mega, though he's only allowed to mega in doubles. Other than that it's up in the air. I don't know if I should try to go hyper offensive, or try to mix in walls like Jellicent and Dusclops/Cofagrigus.

Game Freak have put out a notice on the PGL just now that responds to the people who have been getting a variety of communication errors in Rating Battle, Free Battle, Online Competitions (Battle of Legends) etc.

They claim that updating to the latest firmware, 8.1.0-18, will resolve these issues.

Gonna ask again: anyone who's got the Y Mega Stones (except Mewtwo and Charizard) and the Blazikenite and wouldn't mind cloning them for me? I can give 5IV Poké in return, they're not all perfect but you can definitely do something with 'em.

I missed this earlier to make that pun, but I figure it's going to be Volcanion since the Second XY movie will focus on primal Groudon and Kyogre.

But Hoopa is cooler tho, #teamhoopa

He's no joke unlike some other mythical pokemon that easily loses to potato sack.

I'm interested in a female pancham with HA, I can give you awesome Hoenn and Sinnoh 5iv starters with HA and egg moves or Unova and Johto with 5iv and egg moves.

Also looking for a scrafty with HA female in a premier or dream ball (if possible) too, it's just for breeding and style points really.

Trying to catch one in hordes is annoying.

Yeah I noticed that after I posted it.

It makes more sense for some weird plot for Volcanion, but because of the dex it's going to be Hoopa.

I find it amusing that Diancie appears as central Kalos 151 if you don't have the national dex, which is the case in my JP Y game.

Ah ok, I only returned to Pokemon last October with XY after not playing or watching since RBY.

I guess that clip could just be for hyping ORAS and the next movie then? It sounds like your example just advertises HGSS.

Is the only way to breed a 5iv flawless or 6iv Pikachu with volt tackle to breed two 6iv parents, an everstone for the ditto or one of the pikachus and the female,holding that item that gives the move?

Yo, I'm in the middle of soft-resetting for a Xerneas. I've managed to get one with Max IVs in Defense, Special Defense and Special attack, but with 29 speed and 24 in HP. It's got a Calm nature. Should I keep it or toss it?

I'm torn because I was originally going to go for a raw special sweeper but If defensive Xerneas is uncommonly used I might keep it and go for another replay to get the sweeper.
