Hearthstone |OT9| Our raid wiped in Icecrown Citadel

That shouldn't even be possible this expansion too!

I've seen an idea floating around on Reddit where unpacking a duplicate legendary merges those cards into a golden legendary.

I don't even need that. Just make it that you can't get duplicate legendaries if you're still missing some from a set.

Sleep with the Fishes is way too strong of a card for being a 2 cost.

It's basically a free execute when comboed with whirlwind or ravaging ghoul. It's legit stupid.

This is basically admitting to being a pirate, murloc, or Hunter player.

It might look easy to do, but it is time-consuming. You can only use Hero Power once which makes it very slow to complete. Its the type of quest that is best done when you have another quest as it will be completed naturally.
You can only use your Hero Power once per...what? I'm really confused.

The only Hero Power quest I know of is "Use your Hero Power 30 times", which means you can just do "hero power -> pass turn", "hero tower -> minion -> pass turn" repeatedly. Each game you should be guaranteed to trigger it 5+ times.

Priests whole schtick just needs to go away. Playing against your own best cards isnt fun. You should never be able to discover things from your opponents deck AND be able to use them. Thats way to powerful honestly and just feels bad to play against.
Would rather priest centered around healing. Make healing interesting in the game. It also doesnt make sense to me that priests steal stuff. For rogues it at least makes thematic sense.

i attended the tespa collegiate championship today. it was pretty cool, and there was a pretty good turnout, although i didn't stick around for the whole thing. finals are going on right now.

the $12 ticket included 2 regular drinks (beer/wine available) and 1 redbull mocktail. redbull had a small setup where they were making hearthstone-themed mocktails. i got a devilsaur delight, which used orange red bull.

there was also a setup upstairs where you could play devs with premade decks. i played a guy named steve who recently joined the dev team from the community management team. he said he was working on the next set but wasn't sure when it would come out

also included with the ticket was a $10 coupon off hearthstone gear at the onsite store. they had stuff like keychains, shirts, hats, mouse mats, beach towels...most of it is available online as well though,

i used my coupon on this 12-win keychain cause it was $10 at the onsite store so it ended up being free after coupon

it was my first blizzard event and i had a good time. blizzcon has always seemed a little much for me but i'd go to a smaller scale event like this again

Centering Priest around foresight would be interesting, though, and I wish they had more "search" cards. Priests should get cards like Tracking, but without the discard (unselected cards go to the bottom of your deck), and things that let you look into your opponent's deck.

I think Shadow Visions is the right direction for Priest to go in - deck consistency is really important for control decks.

Seriously, if the Burgle mechanic is the design space that opened up because of the flurry nerf then please bring back flurry.

Maybe I should actually just resort to playing pirate warrior. I just cant get over that rank 10 hump. And that was my goal this month before my Persona 5 review copy arrives tomorrow.

They just don't want rogue to be an AOE class, just as much as they don't want hunters to have access to a lot of card cycle (in general).

I think blade flurry nerf gave them room add cards to strengthen rogue in other areas, like vilespine slayer and envenom.

Wow that sounds awesome, will keep my eye on anything local like that.

I always like to watch pro players pilot a deck and that tends to help move up the ranks. Dog is really good to watch for this since he will go into detail why he makes certain moves. Trump would be good if he didn't spend the entire expansion experimenting with goofy decks.

Edit: whoops, meant to include this in my first post ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Never actually watched Dog before. Will try that :) thanks

His chat is insufferable, but that is true of 99% of streamers. Some don't let it bleed into their streaming as much though.
Rule 1 of Twitch: turn off Twitch chat.

There are no exceptions to this rule.

Dog is also pretty inoffensive and chill, which I appreciate. When Reynad rages out, I bail out.

Struggle for 4 days between rank 12 and 10. Never getting to 10.
Switch to pirate murloc warrior....20 minutes later rank 10....disgusting xD

Admission, three drinks and a $10-off, no-strings (ie. min. purchase) coupon for $12 is a crazy deal. And you got to play with a dev! I wish I could go to such an event.

I still think Blizzard should reconsider their current standard rotation strategy. The expansions that come out in the end of the year have much less time to shine than the ones from the start. I was considering crafting Finja but realised he will be gone in roughly 1 year. Whilst legendaries from Un'Goro will be here for 2 years, even though they were released only 3 months from each other.

Additionally, If every new expansion released kicked out the oldest expansion in standard, the meta would have 3 medium sized changes, instead of 1 big one in the start of the year and 2 less impactful ones,

I voted noblord! yes, the only guy in this tournament I knew from before.

how many packs do I get now?

I have a pretty good voting record now; Dr. Hippi 2nd place, Shtan 1st place, Rutgers 1st place.

woo, Made it to rank 10. Not too amazing but just happy I'm still able to get somewhere with janky decks.

On a side note, I didn't think I'd mind too much, but I'm a little sad I wont be able to get the card backs I missed when I stopped playing a while back. Missed all three MSG backs along side the Year of the Kracken too. Wish there was a way to scoop them up later but that seems really unlikely.

I get it, I really do... but try to stop thinking like that. It's an ENTIRE YEAR. That's a long time to be playing with a card. I crafted Justicar last year and had absolutely no regrets. I love that card. I'm probably about to craft Finja myself.

Well, I'm not making a Paladin deck anytime soon. Even if I ignore the Legendaries, I'm missing a significant amount of epics and rares.

Fun fact: if you Mirror Entity a Quest Rogue minion, it is 5/5 as well.

*sigh*

What's with all the quest rogues? My last 5/7 matches, including all of my level 10 last bosses, have been quest rogues.
It's a cheap deck that beats everything that isn't aggro for free.

The one before that: https://hsreplay.net/replay/wDoTmDRp9BZpE3vYmnHkgc (same gold celebration card back)

I had to go that many before finding a loss using miracle rogue.

So much for "free" wins against everything that isn't aggro.

I would love to be facing some quest rogues right now.

I also decided to finally jump back in to druid since I pulled living mana and goddamn... that card is some shit. I IMMEDIATELY crafted another one.

lol

Miracle looks fun, but VS was saying they have some bad matchups?
I'd be playing Flower Rogue if I had the cards though. :/

I've been running Dragon Priest and it does *OK* against Quest Rogue. I think I'm at about 40% or so. Victory usually comes done to

1) sneaking a good play with Potion of Madness
2) getting a good board quickly Cleric → Historian → Glimmeroot → Twilight → OP
3) cheesing three + dragonfire potions with Shadow Visions

Dragon Priest seems to be doing well against Mage and Taunt Warrior and *OK* against Hunter. Hunter usually comes down to whether or not they get some Hyena shenanigans going on. Paladin match up can go either way. Dealing with Ivory Knight, Primordial Drake, Curator, the 5-cost taunt buff is a pain. This 4-power class weakness (in 2017) is a head-scratcher.

Probably changing decks at rank 10. Hope I can craft Flower Rogue by then. If not, maybe Ramp Druid, Tempo Mage, or ... I don't know... N'zoth / Jade Rogue lol. I'm supposed to be branching out from Priest. lol

If you don't have Patches, and don't want to craft him, do you keep the Swashbucklers and just sub in something like...SI Agent?

I would love to be facing some quest rogues right now.

Aggro Token Druid?

If rogue and priest are supposed to be trick, why does mage get primordial glyph? Seems like a trick card to me!

Til a rogue vanishes or a shaman devolves :)

lol

Yes sir

Yeah I don't play that shit against Shamans anymore lol. Haven't had a Rogue vanish them yet....they're usually dead by then haha.

I also learned a lesson when I tried to get cute and use double innervate and coin for Living Mana. Had a feeling it wouldn't let me be that cheap.

I definitely didn't consider the Miracle Rogue matchup - I'm speaking more to the Aggro/Midrange/Control triad. I usually place Miracle Rogue more on the Aggro side of the spectrum, or Aggro/Combo.

STOP SHITTING ON MY MOTHER'S HEADSTONE
why is every opponent using the legend card back

I feel like I'm playing a boss rush

https://hsreplay.net/replay/r2P22jkgDCyYSGjLMyDB4H < another quest rogue beat down

When it doesn't high roll, the deck is not difficult to beat.

@mobius

what do you think about xzires's miracoli list?

https://twitter.com/Xzirezhs/status/855150089102393344

Seems okay. Can't really judge it though. Prep + sprint is quite slow compared to auctioneer.

It's very different from what I've been running with arcane giants. Hard to judge just looking at it. I also haven't played a leeroy list this expansion yet.
