Good opening for Kid Icarus. I expect it to have pretty strong legs from here on out, and like I predicted in week 7, I think it will level out around 400k LTD in Japan.

The main worry I have I'd that Kingdom Heart DDD is going to really eat into sales that might be going to KI otherwise.

I'm surprised that Kid Icarus apparently gave the 3DS quite a boost. I suspected it to be one of these games that are selling primarly only to the already established userbase, but don't have much impact on people who don't have the plattform yet.

However, many people might have been sold by the combo of KI and KH. It's going to be interesting to see what next week's hardware sales are going to be like: stagnant or even higher?

There are two MHtriG start packs that include either Cosmos Black or Fire Red 3DS handhelds. They went on sale on March 17th for ¥19,800 (US$246). Also, there were Super Mario 3D Land bundles on sale in Ice White and Misty Pink. They had SMB pre-installed, were priced at ¥19,800 and were released March 24th.
