Titanfall Gameplay Footage (Embargo Lifted)

Just saw it in a stream. Someone hacked a specter and the two or three specters beside it became friendly as well.

Who gets the attrition points for killing them, though? Hacking them to your side just so the other team can get points doesn't seem like a sound plan.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

Yeah what is the point of having more grunts on your side if they are really just fodder to cut time to Titans?

Btw is it confirmed that they are sending actual codes for the PC version or they are simply adding the game to the Origin account?

I think this could be X1's Gears of War... lots of hype and potential system seller.

The biggest unknown is how the PC and 360 versions of the game will impact Titanfall's numbers on the Xbone. Gears wasn't multiplatform (PC version came later, sequels were 360 exclusive), and the fact that Titanfall is being released in any form on a previous generation system that already has 80 million units sold is going to be something to pay attention to.

I know for Gears, I had to get a 360. For Titanfall, I'm getting the PC version.

Man, performance is really unstable on xb1. Really awesome game otherwise.

Lack of campaign and availability on other platforms might hinder it.

The other options people have to play this game is going to hold back the title as a console mover for XB1. It doesn't help that in order to play this on XB1 the outlay is $500 + $60 game + $60 XBLG. Still, MS did a smart thing keeping this game off PlayStations.

You have to redeem a code through Origin.

Would also like to know this and whether it has FOV options at all.

There is an FoV slider that goes up to 90.

edit: Is it the norm to hold right mouse button to aim down sights?

Default is that Mouse 2 is an ADS Toggle, but you can also set it to Hold if you like (which is how I do it).

Can anybody comment on the netcode? That's one of my most serious pet peeves coming from COD.

Max was really impressed on his stream about it. I recall him saying how nice it was to actually be able to run away behind walls without dying.

ugh - the IGN stream reminded me of how intrusive the X1 message notifications are...I might actually have to turn those off =/

Hard to tell really, personally I think campaigns are legacy at this point: we expect them because they always been there even if most people just don't care.

If you look at the data the most people spend the most time on multiplayer. I know this is a core audience forum so perception is different, but out there people just want to shoot dudes in the face.

I really like using the Auto-sprint on PC.

It gives you the option between Never, Delayed, and Always. Always is self explanatory, and Delayed is what I'm using. Delayed will have you walk for a second or two, before automatically going into a Sprint. It's nice with a keyboard, because it frees up the Shift key (which I use for Melee now, instead) and still allows you to walk when you want (tap the WASD keys).

Just saw on the stream that there is an automatic sprint setting.

Fuck. Yes.

Delayed is ingenious! Sounds like it would work well on console too.
Is there any kind of smart-melee? I'm always clicking the right stick in on Xbox, some games will only activate the melee when you click the button AND you're close to an enemy or some other breakable thing.

That sound amazing. No more pressing a extra button on the keyboard!

This is brilliant!

To anybody who's played, how's the soundtrack? I've heard some hints of the CoD4 influence here in there, sort of a lone melody over percussion, those awesome cymbal hits that sort of linger for a while...
