I have both consoles so I'm covered, but if I had to chose one right now it would be Xbox.

Titanfall is definitely exciting and lives up to the hype, even if you aren't a car lover Forza 5 is beautiful. Ryse(haven't played so no comment) Garden Warfare DR3 and Xbox Just announced a slew of indie games. So, good stuff coming. Frankly, if you can wait till after E3 always a good thing but otherwise, great system.

I really liked Dead Rising 3, I'd say it's worth it for that and Titanfall assuming you don't want to play it on PC.
The sound mixer lets you adjust the volume levels of your snapped apps/main screen game, as well as the system's master volume.
The chat mixer lets you decide if you want the system to automatically turn down game audio if you're using the Kinect for chat.

If you add a friend, you follow them. If they add you back your friends or married in some counties.

Is it only for the Kinect though? I hate that it lowers the game volume when entering party chat using a headset.

Working for me now too, added a handful of friends to my favourites and now I'm just waiting for anybody to log on so I can see if the sodding notifications work.

EDIT: Don't see anything in the settings for it so I assume they haven't rolled out the notifications stuff yet
The other thing MS MUST do here soon is get all the activity from X1 up on xbox.com
It sucks not being able to view stats and more on the web. I like smartglass but it is still lacking in the area of listing games and can be a pain to scroll through achievements. Not to mention the fact that sites like Raptr need this data to be on the web to grab.
Hope they solve this as well. It was there day one with the Xbox 360.

I would still like them to put up the achievement data and how many people are playing games that was shown before release.
The preview feedback app has that functionality... so its certainly plausible to arrive for more people.
(Not that I can see my SSs they go straight to MS)
The settings for the Chat Mixer mention Kinect but doesn't mention headsets. I use the headset adapter and chat/game audio both come through fine for me.
No fancy extender action, I just use an HTPC via the HDMI in. SiliconDust + WMC for OTA DVR, Media Browser for everything else in my collection.
For the most part it works, but even with the latest update it doesn't change channels properly. Really ticks me off. At some point I'll probably switch to a simpler tuner, but not until DLNA is seamless.
You dont have a Windows, android or ios product? Xbox one smartglass does that

I assume as with previous updates that you can't party chat with people who aren't in the preview program?

You can, it was only a restriction with the last update because they overhauled the party system.

They added a separate "Sound Mixer" so you can adjust the sound split for the main app and snapped app. Setting it to "same volume for both" should fix that problem

I was just coming here to ask about that star. Thanks for the info. It would be nice if they had an updates section on the left hand side too...complete with changelogs.

I've only played Titanfall (disc version) so far and it worked fine. Will test my other disc-based games later tonight - Ryse, DR3 and Forza 5.

Got my update this morning. Is there a link to all the new stuff it does, or maybe I'll check the OP to see if there's a list of new stuff/changed stuff. Curious to all the new things it's updated.

Played multiple downloaded games, no problems. Tested Dead Rising 3, no problems there either.

Ok no update, put my XB1 into stand-by mode and it instantly got the update, wtf. Getting a bit tired that the mode of your XB1 matters for when you get updates.

Interesting. So the Bone knows how to change channels for WMC?
It knows the IR for changing channels, Play/Pause/Stop/FF/REW, etc. It currently won't do subchannels, but if you're using a tuner with only whole number channels (like cableCARD) it should work fine.
I still want to retire the thing someday, but my wife likes it too much, since everything we record has the commercials auto-stripped out.
