You know, we have a water starter and a fire starter pokemon now. I'd assume we'd get a Grass one too to balance things out. If that's the case, water happens to Jigglypuff?

I mean, if we get her back, that's Pikachu, Jiggly, Dog guy...Charizard, Frog-Ninja. Anyone I'm forgetting? Add in hypothetical grass starter and we get 6 Pokemon characters.

I know Pokemon is popular, but isn't that a bit much? I think even Mario only get's 5 characters. I'd rather have Pokemon Trainer back, even if they changed up his Pokemon.

I don't think Takamaru will be in this game. Greninja had few moves that I actually imagined that Takamaru would have.

Yeah, it suck that Pokemon Trainer is goner.

Games not out for a minimum of 3 months yet, we don't know how the online will work fully, the for fun mode may have some form of playlist for all we know. It might be completely random but decrying its online based on a video where the guy said right at the start "this is in development", we simply don't know what features it will have outside of what is announced, it may have more that we don't know about.

Lets face it, Titanfall was lawded as an awesome online game and that has zero stage selecting in it whatsoever, this has confirmed stage select in friend matches, which already puts it beyond that :p (and tbh, the ability to have friend only matches which isn't available in titanfall!)

Yeah, my only complaint is the removal of Pokemon Trainer. The Charizard cult is getting out of control. Damn nostalgia.

Greninja is so fucking awesome though.

Just make it Stock with a Time-Limit. The rest sounds fantastic... even if it's hard to wait for the WiiU-Version ... but the 3DS Version will cheer me up until Winter 2014 =)

I will say its interesting a lot of the pokemon, trophies and assist trophies shown off were characters being requested. There were many things revealled today that made me think Sakurai read and listened to complaints. He listened to many of the complaints of Subspace and went out of his way to fix them and made a lot of moves to help appease competitive players.

Clones are fun. I'd rather have clones out the ass. Falco and Ganondorf are interesting takes on a base moveset.

BTW I'm still hopeful for Jigglypuff. She didn't appear during the Charizard / Greninja trailer. I don't care if 5 Pokémon characters would be too much :mad: She's a veteran.

Sakurai won't cut one of the original 12, and the game needs a playable Fairy type.

Isn't it a bit odd that we have a fully evolved Fire starter, a fully evolved Water starter, but no fully evolved Grass starter?

Why would online be time only?

The footage didn't show stock or a time meter. Only damage.

And 5 seconds later the footage showed no damage, no time, and no stock.

Maybe the footage was just footage.

I wonder if Ness's Up B will be changed since all the 'difficult/confusing' Up B moves are being changed. Tethers gone, Sheik's teleport gone, pit's flying gone. Maybe it'll just launch you midair, but if it's on ground it'll still do the same pk thunder.

I think Toon Link's a bit different though because he has a totally different body type, the customization wouldn't account for that like it would fox/falco. But, again, I'm not competitive so I don't claim to be an expert on this.

For me personally, assuming the customization is really well done and balanced, I'd be cool with falco as a costume or something. Makes no difference to me as long as the gameplay options are still in tact.

4+ player lobbies makes a lot more sense than what they have going now, which is to take away all choice and force you to play extremes. Lobby with "With Friends" style options plus a possible spectate mode for the players outside the 2-4 playing would put it on parity with fighting game features.

Personally, I want more choice concerning items. Items range wildly between minor utility and absurdly overpowered (or plainly fucking annoying, screen flipping), you don't necessarily want everything turned on. Moreover, sometimes you want a few items instead of no items and sometimes you want stupid amount of items instead of whatever constitutes average.

Opposed to lobbies, what is disappointing about a lack of playlists, which is appropriate here because the range of rulesets for SSB approaches shooters rather than fighters, is that unlike games like Halo or Call of Duty, there won't be developer or community input to change modes and make the game feel alive and dynamic.

Very archaic, like we are still in the early 00s.


It also sounds like I won't be able to Marth with a stinger online. Not much fun if they are not going to try to balance those moves.
