I'm really hoping folders are one of those "no need for hype" things. Because if we get the first gigantic update and they aren't there, something's wrong with the world.

I'd also love to believe that "alphabetical order" would also be a no-hype thing, but given how Sony has failed for years to understand how alphabets work, that's probably be a major feature announcement.

Indeed!
Right now the biggest flaw in the OS is the lack of games folder, the more games you play, the more the interface becomes cluttered (and also a bit slower).
They really need to fix the basics before thinking about other fancy stuff.
But probably different features are being developed by different groups and they'll be implemented in order of completion, not based on importance/logic.

I'm gonna use this in conjunction with "Needing to reconnect DS3 after firmware updates" reference. Does the update such because it doesn't have the ability to change which controller number you are? I think so. Personally, I think the PS4 will be forever gimped until I can turn off the button tips that appear at the bottom of the screen.

Aside from all the sharing stuff,

New Friends Options: It’s now easier to find Friends and send requests with the ability to search Friends-of-Friends, view Mutual Friends on another user’s profile, and accept Friend requests directly from the Friends list.

Best feature for sure. Can't believe I ever lived without it. I knew something was missing this entire time. And that's not even the smallest thing !! Think of all the hidden goodies !! Maybe they improved HDMI-CEC !!

I commented on there for a scroll with right stick on friends list when there are more than 3 friends online. Hopefully they listen, it's pretty annoying to open the app everytime.

I was really hoping for more notification options especially friend log in. Giving it's the most requested feature on the Xbox and was made a big deal of by MS thought for sure Sony would follow suite. Not to mention that tidux said it would be in

Hopefully. things like this can be added in smaller updates and I honestly think they should.

I could swear that you could only tell the console to "go" to a game, but not actually launch it?

Anyways, yes, Netflix is the big one for me.

If I can get HDMI-CEC on Netflix going, it would be perfect, so that's my next requested feature :)

Navigating the keyboard with the touchpad could be interesting. Also, the remote play improvement for the Link app sounds good.

I'd like to know more about the new voice commands though.

Nope, you'd say "PlayStation, Killzone, Start". Though it would be more intuitive if they made it "PlayStation, start Killzone".

Yeah I just don't get it. Was there last gen. It's there on the vita. It's convenient and makes the online experience feel more alive. I don't get why it's not there yet. Baffled actually.

Its a nice update but I still can't believe we don't have suspend/resume considering they were pimping it big time at the PS4 unveiling over a year ago.

That absolutely would be preferable, but thankfully they didn't need to delay the system in order to make that work.

I've owned a PS4 for about 6 months now. I never knew there were any voice built-in functionalities through the headset.

The only good surprise feature is adding voice options to control apps. It made no sense why I couldn't say "Playstation, Netflix."

Otherwise, this is a pretty feature-bare update.
