But seriously, yes there are countless people online who despise sunshine, and hate fludd and bowser junior.

No I don't agree with them. I enjoyed the game quite a bit.

My quest to 3 star all tracks at all levels with Mario in standard kart and customisations continues. 50cc & 100cc complete, 150cc Mushroom and Shell Cup done. Really thought I was going to have to bail on Mushroom Cup due to Sweet Sweet Canyon

Item distribution seem more spread out in this game. I've gotten a two crazy eights and a star while in 2nd place, and a lightening bolt and golden mushroom while in 3rd place. In a single race I got a star and a pirahna while in 2nd. The probability of higher positioned players getting better items seems higher now (though I don't recall ever getting them while 1st)

Then there's been times where I'd more less useful items+coins when in lower positions during a race...

Yes and yes?

I've been using the wheel since day one of MKWii. I tried the gamepad here but hands cramp up so bad and the screen is virtually useless. You can never ever look down. That info NEEDS to be put on-screen.

I enjoy the wheel. The game would feel different without it, although I handled MK7 fine.

What are the item settings for the race? I know there's a "frantic" mode that widens what you can get regardless of position.

Caution, beehive type comments are frown upon here.
You will have to deal with people that have different opinions than you. I think sunshine is shit you think is good, and thats life. Not only the internet, theres lots of people in the real world that hate it too, shocking I know.

Not going to add anything more, its derailing the thread.

What do the stars do? They appear after a race and i can use 0/6. Does it record the race or something. Ive been hitting it for every race now that I noticed wondering if it unlocks something once I use all 6.

It saves the race in your favorites on MKTV, up to six.

So...does 3-starring the cups in Grand Prix even do anything in this game? It doesn't appear to show stars next to your name in online multiplayer like it did in Mario Kart 7, and I've not heard of it unlocking anything...

All golds in 150 unlocks Mirror Mode and I think you need at least one star in both 150 and Mirror across the board to get one of the gold items. I'm not sure 3 stars on everything does anything, maybe gives you a stamp?

I am error, apparently.
I can barely even join one of my friends for global races right now, I really don't recall this level of error with either MKWii or MK7.

Never forget having to butt slam a random stool in the casino on a specific shine episode, stuff like that makes them top of the collectables shit tier.

Yeah, I know you get the Gold Standard Kart for 1-starring every cup. I got that, and I also got all 90/90 stamps, so it can't be a stamp that it unlocks, either. Weird...

No, I'm seen people of people calling it a bad MARIO game, but to say it's a bad game it's ridiculous. I know it's not perfect, but it's still better than most platformers out there. If you want truly bad games, see 2/3 of the Sonic games that have been released in the past 10 years.

People throw the word bad around like candy in the internet.

I think that is the main problem. I name my Miis by nick names, not username. I am going to flip the settings tonight, but not going to call my Mii something else. It is silly giving a Mii a name like YoshiRocks94. It is silly for the default to be the Mii name and not the NNID IMO.
