2014 NBA Draft |OT| Destroying careers before they start (if you're the first pick)

Explain. D leaguers can get called up at any point if you have a roster spot.

Check Bowser's link. In it:

According to league rules, no NBA team can call up Hairston this season because he is eligible to enter the NBA draft this June. Thanasis Antetokounmpo, brother of Milwaukee Bucks rookie sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, is in a similar situation this season with the D-League's Delaware 87ers, having committed to spending the entire season in the NBA's official developmental league before putting his name in the next NBA draft.

But anyway, he didn't join the NBADL until January and only joined then because he was ruled ineligible for his college team (North Carolina) after the season had already started. He went to the D-league to be able to play in the interim.

Aren't teams allowed to trade cash in trades or do they need special permission from the league?

Is there a limit to how much money a team can give to a team through a trade? Would the Lakers be able to trade Julius Randle and like $10 million for Love?

I think it's capped at $3m?

Doubtful. I think it has to be approved by the entire league.

Bosh and Lowry are free agents. Miami and Toronto can't just trade them to whoever they want.

In other words: Bucher is an idiot.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

Feel like we coulda used a shooter... we got an iso "clutch guy" guard.

oh well.
He shoots 40% from 3 and 87% from FT. That suggests that despite having some chucker tendencies, he also has workable shooting mechanics. What we have now is another player who can create his own shot, plays solid defense and can run an offense. He can also hit big shots. It's really because Rio and Cole just didn't get it done this year. I still think/hope we can land Lowry or Melo. Melo would make more sense now, but that's a bigger pipe dream than Lowry. PEACE.

Even if that Bucher tweet is true, wtf? So if you knew you were getting Lowry, wouldn't you try to, I don't know, draft a fucking big?

Are we really quoting Ric Butcher? That dude has no credibility, and that trade sounds stupid given we just drafted a PG. Bosh is far more important to what we do then Lowry. He's a hell of a lot harder to replace. PEACE
