RE6 is either a love it or hate it game. I personally had an immense amount of fun playing it; it does tend to sway a bit away from horror, but it's replaced by a different sort of tension--one where the threat of being surrounded by several, more reactionary enemies can elicit a sense of nervousness. Ammo drops are frequent, but the system has a heavy focus on utilizing your melee attacks; I highly suggest looking/reading the combat manual a NeoGAF user posted--I don't think I would have loved the game otherwise.

There is no free way to craft badges. Let me explain this.

Let's say you bought a game for 2€, idled cards, then sold them for 0.30€ bought 2 cards for other unfinished badge, let's say for the same 0.30€. have you got this badge free? Well, no, 2€-0.30€=1.70€. That's what finishing said badge costs you.
Now, you may tell me that you genuinely wanted to play this game and bought it not for cards. I would believe you, why wouldn't I? 124 badges? no, I don't.
Granted, many bundles has games with cards, making all process much cheaper. But still there are no free badges, because you still spend money on bundles, time on idling for cards and selling them.

A little question about Valiant Hearts. My understanding is even if you add retroactively locked gift to account using VPN launching it doesn't require one? And generally speaking is it possible totally unrestricted gift gets impossible not only to activate but also to play without VPN and what is end user supposed to do in this scenario?

Thanks guys. I think I'll stay strong on this one for now, it's got 33 hours left on the deal so I can wait for some more dailies in case there's something I'd prefer.

To the dudes playing FFXIV, how much has it changed since the first phase of the closed beta? I tried it out back then but found it got pretty boring quickly so I haven't been paying that much attention to it since.

you lost me. If gifts are totally unrestricted why would you need VPN? If you are asking can unrestricted gifts be made retroactively region locked, then yes, it happened too many times in the past to count already.

But can redeemed (= added to library) gifts be retroactively region locked in a fashion that might make them unplayable?

Of course, but it's money I never would have had if not for cards. And I don't really spend time idling, I set a game to run and go on with my life :p What I clearly meant was I have never added money to my steam wallet for the purpose of buying cards. And most badges don't cost that much to complete.

I believe if you've already activated the game then there's no worry. Have many friends who activated RU games (Remember Me etc.) It's just the initial activation where restrictions apply.

How many boosters did you get, using those and trading with others make badge crafting cheap, but slow.

Not to rain on any parade, and it's awesome to see so many giveaways, but I don't think people should buy and give away Insecticide. It's a shitty game, and not shitty in a funny way way, and it's only half the game, where the other half wasn't and will not be released. It's one of those games that should have been removed from the steam store.
