For me? Nothing. I will buy some downloadable PSN indies but there isn't a single game at retail that interests me. 2015 cannot get here fast enough
Same.

I'm hoping for either last guardian or a monster hunter to get a release. Apart from that, I can only see Just Dance in my future playing with family and friends.

Evolve and WWE 2K15. Hard-pressed to think of anything else off the top of my head that I want, now that TLOU Remastered is already released.

Destiny looks cool, and the alpha was fun, but none of my friend are gonna get it at the same time as me so I might as well wait.

I was somewhat interested in Batman: Arkham Knight and The Order, but both slipped to 2015. Mortal Kombat X was revealed for 2015.

If we get a discount on GTA V for buying the PS3 version on PSN, I'll buy that too.

Destiny
Disney Infinity 2.0
Shadows of Mordor
Samurai Warriors 4
LittleBigPlanet 3

thats a pretty decent list

its a shame no good RPGs are coming out but thats what PC and vita do for me anyway (I do not have faith in Lords of the Fallen right now)

Nothing.

2014 is just a terrible year for PS4/XBO

wtf? Someone please provide a list to this unaware fellow. For me hands down the best holiday for gamers in recent times. Beside the new console launch last year.

Most likely will purchase at launch:
- Metro Redux: Played a bit of 2033 on PC and enjoyed that and held off on buying Last Light on the previous gen consoles so will definitely get this once it hits.

- Destiny: Was skeptical prior to getting hands on with the game, still concerned ona few issues but enjoyed the core of what I played and hopefully the final game can build on what the Alpha/Beta offered.

- Driveclub: Me and the group of people I regularly play games with were huge Motorstorm 1 fans but the follow ups felt more and more diluted. Hoping Driveclub is a return to form, will definitely try the PS+ version first and the get the full version if it ticks the right boxes.

- Far Cry 4: Really enjoy the series when it all clicks together (weird how Ubi has stayed close to the original Far Cry while Crytek has moved further away with each Crysis title) and the setting and potential co-op madness has me very excited for this.

Undecided on waiting or getting at launch:
- Alien Isolation: Like the look and sound of this but will definitely have to wait and see/hear more about it before I decide to get it on day one. Hope its more of a adventure and exploration aspect to it then just a run and hide style title like Outlast.

- Dragon Age Inquisition: Enjoyed Origins and so far this is looking promising with it's open world and borrowed bits and pieces from Mass Effect. Could do with this delivering for my 2014 RPG needs since Witcher moved to 2015.

- Project CARS: I'm hoping we get some sort of demo for this to be honest, I love my racing games (especially online) but it's a genre that is best judged by going hands on with yourself... Also depends on how many of my friends end up getting it.

Down the line purchase after a price drop:
- Tomb Raider Definitive Ed: Still waiting for this to drop some more in price... never played it on last gen and have only heard good things so looking forward to it but in no rush.

- Thief: Was really excited for this when it was first announced, especially with having loved Deus Ex HR, but as it got closer and closer to release and more of the problems came to light this will now be a bargain pick up for me.

- Sniper Elite 3: Enjoyed what I played of v2 and this was one I would always end up getting at some point, unfortunately felt with v2 that the routine was a bit too samey so decided I could afford to wait a bit to get this cheaper.

- Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Ed: Will wait and see how well Blizzard supports the game with patches and updates before getting this one... Should make for a nice filler during a dry spell at a later point.

- Shadow of Mordor: This one was a hard one and I'm still somewhat undecided on, comes out during crazy season so have had to limit how many titles I buy, but if Alien or Dragon Age end up faltering this is the first likely replacement.

- The Evil Within: Another title I was really excited for when announced and has since become less enthusiastic about as we have gotten closer to release and we have had a chance to see more gameplay.

- Evolve: I'm someone who likes a good story mode or campaign in his games and when I play online I usually do so with people I am familiar with rather than randoms. So while I like the look of this I can't justify it as a full price purchase to myself.

- Assassin’s Creed Unity: Way behind on the Assassins Creed series with most of the titles still to be played in my backlog and yet to buy Black Flag, so while this looks real nice it can wait.

- Lords of the Fallen: Another one that hits in October and had to be unfortunately be cut... Much like Shadow of Mordor this is one I'm keeping a eye on in case any of my intended purchases disappoint.

- CoD Advanced Warfare: Currently on the list because I like the look of what Sledgehammer have shown off so far, if they can deliver on the promise then it's the CoD title since 4 that I'll jump back on.

- The Crew: Big fan of Driver SF, probably the only open world racer that really worked in my opinion due to its swap in and out of any vehicle mechanic. But that seems to have gone and whats left hasn't really impressed me in term of handling/structure.

- Grand Theft Auto V: Didn't buy it on last gen and no real interest in the online aspect as it is currently, will wait and see when and if they implement Heists and how well that works before getting this at some point.

Probably missed out a few titles as well, also what ever happened to The Witness??

After TLOU:

Metro Redux. I never played them originally, can't wait.

Destiny. I'm little worried about the longlevity. Max lvl 20, wtf? (Okay, that doesn't say anything really, but still.)

FIFA 15. I didn't play 14. So hyped for this, especially after the world cup.

Driveclub. Graphics look literally insane. I don't play racing games (outside Burnout 3) AT ALL, but I gotta see this.

GTA V. Loved it, I'll be there day 1, again.

Possibly later, used or massive price-drop ofc:

Far Cry 4, Alien Isolation, AC: Unity, Dragon Age...

Driveclub and AC:Unity because trust issues with PC ports from Ubi. I am sorry but this year is bad for the PS4 if you have decent PC gaming. There is nothing that I would not prefer for the PC if not exclusive.

And don't say Density... I got Firefall for that and it's really good now plus if you have the power it's better graphics than Density out right.

it's pretty funny to see lots of posts with these super long lists and people weeping for their wallets and then to see a short "2014 is a terrible year for games" post here and there.

RETAIL games? Not much. Just Dragon Age and once it's like $30-40, Shadows of Mordor. In hindsight I probably could've held off on buying a PS4 until next year, lol.

They're more frequent than you're giving them credit. And I wouldn't say it's a TERRIBLE year. If you own every console then you really SHOULD be weeping for your wallet. Sunset Overdrive and Fable Legends (that's this year, right?) alongside Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Super Smash Bros. plus the games I mentioned would be pretty painful on the wallet.

Thought that was a beta?

Some people can't help but troll. If you can't find something worth playing this year with all the great titles coming out then I would seriously question how much you enjoy gaming. There's a quality aaa title coming out for every single genre this year. And then next year kicks off with witcher, batman, the order and bloodborne. No wonder the term entitled gamer gets thrown around so often here.

I forgot the evil within on my list as well

Was trying to figure this out today... All I could think of is Destiny and TLOU. I guess one of the driving games (Crew/Driveclub) could be a maybe also.

Well, if I didn't have a PC then quite a few but at the moment it'll be -
Driveclub
Diablo III Reaper of Souls
Destiny.
Everything else is PC (Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age Inquisition, GTA V etc).

Guilty Gear Xrd (Assuming it doesn't get delayed stateside)
Grand Theft Auto V
The Evil Within

All three are either cross gen, or already playable on last gen consoles. Funny how that works out.

I'm thinking

-Evolve: so I finally have a game to play with my friends on a next gen console. Plus it looks intriguing.
-The Evil Within: Shinji Mikami... Yep.
-AC: Unity: not sure if it will be a first day purchase but I'm definitely a big fan of the franchise.
-Alien:Isolation: if they end up capitalizing on the direction they're going with the game I'm all for it. I just hope it doesn't disappoint.
-GTA5 Re: my 360 puked out on me before I could finish the game...
-Destiny: just the large scale game I've been waiting for.

-The Last Guardian
