Warframe launching in September on Xbox One

Check out the Xbox One Store for the latest independent games, including Warframe launching next month
http://news.xbox.com/2014/08/gamescom-id-xbox-games-coming-to-xbox-one

I think this got lost in the news somewhat.

Already available on PS4, and it's a pretty darn good F2P game. Took me a while to get used to, but I sink time into it whenever I can now.

I highly encoruage anyone who hasn't tried it to check it out next month when it is out on XB1, and for those on PS4 that haven't tried it to also do so.

The game's PS4 OT is here

And some material to familizarize and prepare yourselves is greatly recommended:
It can be quite confusion to learn some aspects. I recommend reading the wiki - http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki and/or https://www.youtube.com/user/mogamuTV for some tips and tricks.

Really need to re install it on steam and get back into it. Haven't played it in 2+ months. The F2P elements are quite balanced from what I remember.

I wonder how it runs on the xbone. Once shit gets real the framerate turns into total dogshit on PS4

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
I tried this on PS4, it was alright. Is this a big thing? I have never seen anyone talking about this game.

y'all should be ashamed
I wonder how they'll map the magic on the Xbox controller. Swiping up/down/left/right for different attacks made me a believer in the touchpad on the DS4.

Which is a shame because a fantastic game. The controls and movement reminds me of Vanquish and the indoor environments and combat/powers gave me a bit of a Destiny vibe.

Oh, cool, it's actually a really fun game. I haven't spent a cent and I still have a great time with it. It's also updated often with some pretty major stuff.

This game is so bad.

While I kind of agree, I had a lot of fun with it.

Destiny is a good game, but I had less fun with that.

What does this mean?

I don't know.... perhaps it means that all space marines should have the ability to do flips.

Good game, can be pretty fun with friends. It's biggest problem is after a while it gets pretty boring and repetitive.

first time I sprinted into a slide, then somersaulted out of the slide into a wall run, then leaped off the wall into a slice with my sword that cut the enemy in half that was across the room ... was hooked.

Damn good game, very fun once you get going and begin to really mess with the new suits and work with all the mods.

It was fun on PC and fun on PS4, but after a while I hit a grind wall. I do have to say it looks great, and mostly runs great and there are constant updates and improvements, so kudos to the devs. It's definitely worth checking out for the cost entry point of $0.

Did they ever do the character sync for PS4? Or have they just abandoned that Idea?
You could migrate few days ago your char from PC to PS4 one time.... and for this period only... now it is over.

I do think they will do something with Xbone too.

It's a pretty fun game to play with friends. Hopefully it's not as much of a grind to unlock new classes or weapons like it used to be. Sure, I get that it's free to play and all that, but I'd rather just give them $20 and get more content instead of the typical way.

Nothing fundamentally bad about this game, just couldn't get into it when I tried it. Granted it was only like an hour or two, but it didn't stick with me. Oh and the art style looks like shit.

Was wondering earlier when this was out when someone linked to Steams top ten currently played games and Warframe was at number 10.
Looking forward to trying it but with so many games coming out and a good few 360 games I still have to get through, I can't see me sinking much time into it.

I hope they tone down the graphics, because neither PS4 or Xbox One can handle the shitload of enemies/effects in the biggest maps.

I've had plenty of fun with it in a casual way - definately worth a look on XB1 I'd say if just to check it out

I wasn't really feeling this game at first but at some point, after a lot of the improvements they made, it just clicked. Was super obsessed with it on PC for a few months and then just sort of stopped for no real reason. It's definitely fun once you start to unlock a few abilities and have more places to grind in. I'll probably come back to it again one day.

As of April, it was the second most downloaded app on PS4 under Netflix. It's probably doing pretty well.

How is the monetization on this game? Just cosmetic stuff?
No. You can buy or get the parts to forge everything with Credits (the normal gaming money) and you can buy almost everything with Platinum (the special gaming money).

Credits you received easly completing missions.

Platinum you need buy with real money or trade with rare items but rare items are really hard to get.

So you can have everything (well there are some exclusives for timed events items that can't be get anymore) grinding for rare items or buying with real money... you choice.

The game is fun, but it has no real end-game. Far too much grinding. It's coming out when Destiny releases as well, which is a similar concept executed far better.

I'd compare it more to Phantasy Star Online. It's definitely about the grind, but the grind is a fun action game. Whereas Destiny is more of a traditional MMO, this is more of a co-op PvE game where you kill hordes of other stuff with other people while earning crafting materials for better loot.

BTW Void missions are framerate drop festival on PS4... if the Xbone version is similar then you will think Ryse and Dead Rising 3 are smooth experiences compared with Warframe's Void missions.

Did they ever fix the perf problems on PS4? It was tearing-city, combine that with the over-eager motion blur and moving the camera more than a few degrees gave me a headache.

Still? I was hoping they'd have fixed that by now. That's a shame. To be fair it only starts to happen when there's a butt ton of pick ups and enemies on the screen at once. Was a favorite of mine when the PS4 launched but I've since deleted it. It'll be a welcome addition to the XB1 console. Enjoy!

Did they ever add meaningful endgame? Or is it still just a mindless gear treadmill?

I have a master level founders on PC, would love for the game to finally be worth playing.

Performance is greatly improved since last year. It still has issues, but it's nothing as bad as it used to be - T3MD was like playing Myst.

Give it a try again for yourself.

Xbone folks should def check this game out when it drops.

You can pretty much buy most things, but I honestly dont know anyone who bothers to buy weapons and frames from the market with real money. Most money is used to trade for hard to get items from other players, cosmetics, storage expansions, resource and affinity boosters, and reactors/catalysts. Even with the RNG, most stuff is easy to get without spending actual money if you get far enough in the game.
