I just noticed that the Sunrider game was put on Steam by the people doing all the new VNs:

I'm actually enjoying it, inasmuch as it is a silly anime scifi game. I have no idea if it's because Mass Effect ruined the genre for me and now any scifi is good, or if the game itself is good on its own. But hey, even if it manages to hit as many cliches as I can imagine in a SF story, it's silly enough to play and it's free.

Besides, there's a tsundere:

It also has a light SRPG mode as well, which is okay I suppose. But you could always turn the game to "novel mode" and just blaze through those without giving it a second though.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun Episode 7:

I think what really makes the comedy are all of the deadpan reactions everybody has to the various situations. Anyway, this week we get a look into the mind of Nozaki himself and why he is the most boring person in that universe. Turns out it is because it is because he has only one setting, drawing manga, hilarity ensues. Anyway, I do wonder if they are trying to build any sort of serious relationships with the cast, not sure how credible such an endeavor would be since all the romance is just to be part of the joke. Reminds me a lot of Love Lab in that regard actually.

It got me wondering again if he's gay.

If you're talking about Nozaki I highly doubt it, since it's technically classified as romance and Sakura and him are the two leads. He's just extremely dense, but at the least he's confident and his deadpan reactions are decently funny to me. It's just him not noticing the advances of Sakura. He's no worst than any other dense protagonist in anime, the difference is that he puts his job first. And isn't annoying.

If you're speaking of Mikorin, again I doubt it. They would've made it really obvious if he was gay.

People who are hoping for any progression in the romance might as well give up now. At most it's a means to create more gags with the character interactions.
^^

If you aren't watching it for the comedy and the writing then give it up now yeah.

Nozaki was who I meant.

And whilst yes he's not noticing Sakuras advances (not that they are much - its seems to be all in her head) his non reaction to any female has had me wondering.

Most oblivious guys in anime at least have reactions to females (or the gender they are attracted to) generally even if they don't see the main throwing herself at him.

The king of obliviousness, Ichika Orimura, being an example.

School Days 12 HELL YEAH I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!!

Holy shit.

HOLY SHIT!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

So, this series seems to be born from the question, "What would happen if we adapted every arc from a Visual Novel into a single, 12-episode anime?" The answer, of course, is a lot of broken hearts, a boring, meandering plot, and batshit insanity. Makoto ends up being a sex god to all the girls for no good reason, the girls end up desperate for his attention, to the point of delusion. Kotonoha is continuously shat upon for no reason whatsoever, I mean, nobody at all is nice to her throughout the entire series (except her little sister, of course), so it's understandable that she would eventually break. Pretty much everybody else is a jerk (
really, taping sex then showing it to all the girls?
). And on top of that, Makoto just keeps on cheating with everybody, never being honest with the girls who are so desperate for him, to the point that the viewer is left frustrated. Watching this show is like repeatedly banging your head on a table. It's like ripping your nails out one by one. It gets to the point that when the all the pent-up frustration boils over, you're cheering
for Makoto's death
, you're laughing
at Kotonoha carrying around Makoto's severed head
, and you don't even care when
Kotonoha slices open Sekai's womb
. This show is irredeemable, and I am glad to be rid of it.

You're putting too much thought into it. If the final punch line was "oh btw I didn't notice women because I'm gay" then that'd be a first in anime/manga. They would've needed to give hints by now.

You might see her walk by in a scene or two, but nothing more. Railgun has its own cast, even Touma isn't in it much.
Only for season 1 but Touma was heavily involved in one third of season 2 playing the big hero and saving Misaka which got relegated to side character in her own show.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of things to take away from School Days that makes it worth watching. I suggest you reading the manga. It's only a couple chapters and is more or less a different scenario altogether. Whether the manga counterpart deserves that fate is honestly debatable whereas this one got whatever he had coming.

So Nozaki Kun thus far is my AOTS.

Yup. I still haven't seen Barakamon yet but Nozaki-kun came completely out of left field for me. It's crazy because I was convinced that after episode 4 of Zankyou no Terror that that would be my anime of the season by far but i've been disappointed with the way that and Aldnoah have progressed after their first few episodes.

She's not relegated to a side character, but yes, Touma becomes more prominent later in the sister arc. But it's only a couple of episodes, not much when there are 48 of them.

And it makes sense since its a retelling of an existing story from her POV. Which I liked the idea of because I like them as a couple. It didn't turn out as good as I hoped though. In part because of the jarring sideling of the rest of the cast.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm incredibly tired or if this episode was more comfy than the previous one's, but watching this late at night has become the best way to watch this.

As for the episode itself, it was great. Just 3 guys fishing with Hina and Naru tagging along. If it wasn't for Naru's disaster of a hook, they probably could've caught it.

I didn't care for it because they didn't really do anything interesting with the change in perspective. It was a retread that added little to what was shown in Index.

Alright, I guess I might add it to my backlog. Keep hearing people say that it's fun but I just remember how much I disliked Index.

:(

You'll probably like Railgun. And who knows, maybe you'll be like my friend. Didn't enjoy Index anime, but loved Railgun. Then started to love the Index anime afterwards.

Also while I like Railgun, the male leads are too cool, so I end up missing them.

Hey can someone recommend me some good anime to watch that can be found on UK Netflix? Watched Gurren Lagann and about to watch kill la kill

There is very little anime on UK Netflix. The only choices you really have other than lots of Pokemon movies and series are:

- Knights of Sidonia
- Kite: Liberator
- Hunter X Hunter

Hunter X Hunter is the best of these, but currently unfinished and stretching on into hundreds of episodes. Sidonia is okay (note: it's entirely CG), and Kite is both "only" a movie and also insanely over the top in terms of... well, everything.

Episode 7 and you are still thinking about that? I think it was clear since a pair of episodes that the pure focus of the series is in the comedy, the structure is done for that, and the characters personalities are being more and more "silly" as they only serve to make gags.
So yeah, I wouldn't expect romance in here. Mayyybe just before the end of the series.

Goddamnit, the optimal position for my chromecast crunchyroll streaming means that I can't use my awesome stereo and I'll have to go through TV speakers. :(

Wow. Even that free Manga portal on my Sony TV gives more choice than that.

GitS Arise: Another Mission

3 minutes of nice action with the Surface tablet, best promotion for a tablet ever

You can watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN5aW9AAIjQ

But really, this little ad is basically a trailer for the show itself, amazing animations you can expect from the Arise ova's, they're not on par with SAC but still worth a watch. Can't wait for the 4th.

I just decided to check that out. That sure was different. And Makoto wasn't as much of a slime ball. lol
