Wrong about commas, wrong about everything
Don't know much about MGS but why are people excited about multiplayer? Isn't putting multiplayer in a singleplayer game usually met with scorn? See Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2 etc.

Keeping an eye on this. Just bring back the best mode ever created, aka TSNE, and I'll be there day 1. Also let it be region free please, need to see my old JPN buddies I played with in MGO2.

IMHO, this has a strong impact on the single player experience that is not common in most games as the two modes are separated. Let me spend four hours on a mission only to receive a notification that neogaf member X raided my base for 20,000 credits, most of my resources, and my sheep? I'm returning that favor with the fervor a man scorned. Think Raiden in his game.

I seriously wonder how this will work. There must be a way to play the game single player only. I hope they talk about it on this weeks Kojima station and IGN.

I wonder if MGO will be closed corridors? or will it be gta-ish with vehicles and whatnot..I wouldn't be opposed if it's a game type imagine summoning rex and stuff Kreygasm

The original MGO is still one of the best multiplayer experiences you can have. I just hope they've figured out I don't need 3 additional ID logins to enjoy it.

I'm sure there will be a way to toggle it off or on. Unless it's invasion ala Dark Souls...

Oh, hey! Apparently it will be revealed running in 1080p at 60fps? The title of the IGN article reads "MULTIPLAYER REVEALED IN NEW 1080P/60FPS METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN FOOTAGE"... Or maybe, they are just stating that the game's multiplayer is 1080p, 60fps. Eh, either way, it will likely be available in direct-feed form sooner rather than later (if past videos are any indication)!

MGO is really unique compared to many other online games.

I mean which games has man cannons :lol

I certainly hope multiplayer of all things is a solid 60fps. What I give for a smooth CQC kill in full taunting glory.

Uhm, we already know the game runs 1080p, 60fps on Next-gen consoles. The video they show will have the same quality, same as the E3 30 minutes gameplay demo.

MGS got me back into gaming on ps1. The first game I played online on console was MG3: Subsistence (I think that was the name with the online component) - I was extremely hooked. When Modern Warfare came out - I was hooked more. I waited for MGS4 multiplayer to blow me away but I was SOOO underwhelmed - I could never turn to it even after forcing myself to do so. - just the controls were abysmal. Playing GZ I have high hopes for the multiplayer being that controls are so much better than legacy MGS.

I got so excited, now I'm let down that it's just the base invasion we've seen before.

At least we got confirmation from Tora that MGO still lives, which is what really matters.

Well, yeah, we do... I just wasn't sure if they meant "Hey, 1080p, 60fps footage exists! End of story." or "We're showing it in 1080p, 60fps." But only makes sense that they would show it in that format.
