Man I'm so hype right now, I mean DHD and Shulk both confirmed, so soooooo happy right now, I can't.

Honestly DHD is the best thing ever and I'm so glad he is in, I told co-workers around my age (35-40) about him and they all laughed their asses off, even the ones that dont game at all remembered him, amazing <3

Our kids will be like 'wut' tho :/

I just have the most horrible feeling in my stomach that the leaked character select screen is all we're getting and nothing else.

This is the darkest timeline.

It's so bad we need to send Lucina back to prevent all this from happening.

Yes, Ridley and Mach Rider would probably be in the video if they were characters, as they're more realistic and probably wouldn't affect the rating, but would just be something they would need to show.

@Neo Zero and I have been trying to track down the source of these images, and I'm going to share some details with you we haven't yet publicly. There is a definite chain of custody to track with all of the images the Motherfking leaker has shown. We were contacted by a group of trustworthy individuals who had information about this leak. They believed they knew who leaked the images, and we helped them get in contact with the 4chan leaker.

They spoke with him at length, and he told them exactly who he got his images from.

But in order to do this, they had to prove they knew some things that weren't public yet. And so they gave him a small excerpt of an unreleased image, the image he just leaked today. He broke their trust, but they expected that. That's why he doesn't have the full thing. That's why he will never post the full thing.

He doesn't have it.

He is not the source of these images, nor is he in any position to have any information not found directly within them. His claims of DLC are completely, 100% false.

I also included Bowser Jr. on some of my rosters, but I imagined he would be a Bowser semi-clone at best. The Clown Car move set is incredible, and it represents an aspect of the Mario series that's been neglected in the Smash Bros. roster -- mechs, gadgets, weapons, and everything else associated with Mario bosses.

I don't particularly care for Dark Pit, but he's pretty important in Uprising, and I view clones as bonuses so it's no skin off my back. An extra character is an extra character.

So, yeah, I really like the newcomers. I just wish some more veterans were included.

Dark Pit and Duck Hunt Dog are two of my top 15 wanted characters. Latter being top 5/8. I'm so hyped about it!

Why would they? They're not sexy, or use drugs/weapons/etc.
There's nothing on those characters the ESRB would have to rate.

I really hope that was the case, but would unfinished characters really be excluded from the CSS shown in the video? Unless there was a chance they couldn't be finished, and were hidden in order to not show content that might not be in the final game - as you said, not everything in the game has to be shown, just potentially objectionable elements.

There's not a single enemy in Smash Run without a playable character. You don't even have to include stages, it's literally only series represented with characters.

To get completely technical, the Find Mii ghosts come from a game with a stage but no character--the symbol of the Find Mii stage is different from the Mii Fighters', and that's enough to differentiate Mario and Yoshi.

I agree that DHD is just incredible, so hyped about him, and happy that you got some of your favorite characters!

Link to the post? But yeah, I've been of this opinion for a while now. NessInEngland very clearly said that they don't have much more than menu screens and a few clips. I doubt those leakers would have anymore info.
Anyways, did the person who posted that post or NeoZero claim to have any info about missing/DLC characters?

Fortunately, even if the leaker(s) know every single detail about what is in the game right now, there's no possible way in this reality that they could know what will never be in the game ever at any point in the future.

So any characters they're saying are for sure out, you can safely disregard until we hear from Nintendo on the matter. DLC is your friend.

That's just the name of the 3DS. It's possible when nintendo was recording footage to send to the ESRB, they named the 3DS that so that they'd be able to ID it in the event of a leak.

Although I don't trust the Smashboards story, it seems fairly believable with someone who calls himself the Motherfucking Leaker would be an asshole.

I think it's the same for France, though they sometimes only do PAL3 (English, German, French) instead of PAL5 (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish). Some recent games also had a Dutch translation, and I'm positive that Smash will support at least PAL5, so you should be fine as long as your language is a major one.

I don't have any doubt the PAL version will get different languages. After all, Brawl did.
However, the American version of Brawl only supported english despite there being previous Nintendo games that supported multiple languages.
I speak Spanish, it's a major language so I really hope they translate Smash this time.

I guess nintendo knows who they send their videos to, so i doubt an ESRB guy would be that stupid to show off who is he.

I think the leaker named this way just so its harder to find him, but what do i know lol.

I finally have a chance to check in today. Man, what a whirlwind it has been this past week. I was really leaning toward TeamFake but the videos and their subsequent removal from YouTube via NoA pretty much solidifies the legitimacy of the CSS we saw last week.

I'm a bit disappointed at the number of Mario & FE representatives, only for selfish reasons. All in all, there is still so much we don't know and what we have already been shown still places my excitement in a nice place.

I can't wait to get my hands on the Villager and I'm so happy that we get the super fighting robot, fighting to save the world.

Curious to see tomorrow's POTD as well...

There is still confusion, and lots of it.

I'm more interested in seeing how Nintendo handles this with the ESRB more than anything actually related to Smash at this point. Because you know Nintendo has to be absolutely fuming over the fact someone at the ESRB let this out in the first place.
