So 2AM EST? I will have to wake up early and check all the content. I am curious if FFXV's release date is announced, though I am a bit sceptical following one of the biggest clusterfucks in gaming led by Nomura. I don't want to see any more trailers or know anymore since it will be day 1 regardless.

Also I find people passing on that fake list because of FFXV being there to be disingenuous. Out of most of that fake list FFXV showing up is the most likely. There are way more outlandish things on that list than FFXV showing up.

It just seems way too risky to me. The last non-online required DQ sold over 4m in Japan alone. Although maybe it could work if they went cross-platform (PS3/4). That'd give them the install base so they wouldn't have to worry about the Japanese sales.

I'm genuinely holding out hope for Everybody's Golf 7 on PS4. Still working on my platinum 2 years later for the last one (finally got that albatross!) and I still love it as much as ever.

Having just had DoA5 Last Round announced, if we get a new EG that'll mean my two most played and favourite non-narrative PS3 games / game franchises will have had updates announced within two days of each other. Some weekend for me!

Well it's been a long time since they've really done anything with Persona 5. And I think when they say PS4 show they don't mean that's all that'll be there period. They really should have something of Persona 5 to show by now. I would hope anyway. =(

Also, wouldn't mind being added to the hype train. lol. Gonna need a bigger train.

Wonder if this will just be a conference full of indies?

Not sure if i would bother waking up early to tune in if i woke up late in the mornings but i usually wake up about 7am anyway which is when it starts here in the UK so may tune in, but i am going to prepare for disappointment

Nah I was just being facetious. But I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't shown there. We'll get something by the end of TGS though.

Guess the only way to reduce the risk is for Sony themselves to pitch in and also to make the multiplat among Sony platforms.

God I wish there was a Japanese indie movement going on that could create some stuff on the level of Rime, Wild, The Tomorrow Children, Galak-Z, The Witness, etc. Think the only Japanese indies I have heard much about is Project Pheonix and Mighty No 9

The onus on this conference is to kickstart a push to revitalize the PS4's performance in Japan.The idea is to disprove the theory that Japan is done with consoles, but I don't think that theory will be proven / disproven anytime soon.

What we need is a scenario where an unmistakable blockbuster arrives exclusively on the PS4. Not just a good game, or a big budget game, or a JRPG, but a genuine mainline game from a popular series. If such a game cannot move hardware, even for a week or two, then we can truly say that Japan is slowly breaking up with consoles.

The only games that qualify here are FFXV and KH3, and God knows when we'll be able to see them.

Only things we can hope for right now are:

- up-ports of PS3 games already in development
- Smaller-scale PS4 games from third parties (downloadable or minor new IP projects)
- A first party game or two from Sony (nothing that can move hardware)

Ah well that makes more sense. They might not show Persona 5 tonight and it'll just be full blown PS4 stuff, but I would like to see Persona 5 during TGS at least.

Cross-Platform might not help in increasing the sales of the PS4.

According to the report, Horii announced that they’re currently working on the development of Dragon Quest XI, as the series nears its 30th anniversary (in 2016,) and he wants it to be played on the big screen.



He reiterated his previous statement that it is not being for mobile devices, but he also added that it’s also not being made for handheld consoles, but they’re currently developing it for the home console

i think this is to be expected

i love everybody's golf but i'm desperate for another everybody's tennis. i doubt that will happen though, ps4 needs reliable sellers in japan and golf does way better.
