This + Persona 5 = conference saved.
EDIT: Oops posted in the wrong thread (was quoting from this thread, but meant to post it in another). So sorry if you see this post twice.
If this musou spinoff means there's a possibility of DQXI on PS4 I'll take it.
Wow, the fail in this post in unbelievable. He actually thought this was TGS conference. I bet this was to just get some announcements out of the way. Good to know that we'll be getting Dynamic themes though.
Hm. This also kinda kills the idea that DQ11 is coming out on the PS4, doesn't it? We know DQ11 is in development and if it was something they could show (and by now it's probably at least got a cutscene or intro they can show) and was on PS4, they would have.

I wouldn't say that. Both either of them had were things I'm going to play on systems I already own.
Sans Bloodborne, there's really no reason to own a PS4.
Just wow. That comment wasn't even meant to be negative, but okay. If you say so. I just found it slightly amusing, nothing more, nothing less.
There was some Gravity Rush 2 stuff from TGS last year though. Maybe it wasn't in the main conference, but it was definitely was there.IIRC, I don't think Gravity Rush 2 was shown during the main conference last year? I'm holding out that it'll still be shown this year.
So ... my feed was a bit blurry ...
but the graphics on that Dragon Quest game looked pretty damn awesome.
I mean, it looked like DQ XI.
About the DQ game,
Just to say there is something terribly wrong with the way japan videogame industry reads the market.
This is the kind of game that not only would have sold potentially better on Vita, but could have push it to the moon, especially with some minor social/multi ala monster hunter elements.
Those kind of missed opportunities are just sad. It's like they decide randomly. A 400$ (maybe 350 when it's released) PS4 won't be saved by any game of this genre. While a cheap, already pretty popular and "japan compatible" Vita could use that as it's big definitive push.
And in general, the lack of Vita focus here is so terrile. It's like Sony doesn't get what's happening in Japan, they don't want to plainly assume that the Vita has 50 times more chance to bring money than PS4 there, the market has shifted..
That's also sad for something like Disgaea 5, which i'm pretty sure would sell better on Vita. Even persona 5.
It's like Sony has a system that can be a sucess, but prefer to ignore it to have an international strategy, while ignoring how Japan works now..
That's what this show corrects. They hit all the bases (licensed, musou, DQ, RPGs, etc)
The western audience is "conference sucked" but it wasn't for us.
Wonder what the Japanese audience's reaction to this conference is.
Yakuza looked cool. Too bad America hates Sega
What happened to this load of BS:
Sony Boss: New PS4 Games To Be Announced At TGS
http://b-ten.com/sony-boss-new-ps4-games-announced-tgs/
They promised new games at TGS, but Sony didn't show shit.
Really good conference, exceeded my expectations.
To give people context, these are only two PS4 games that sold over 100k in Japan since launch:
Cross-plat Yakuza spin-off
Cross-plat Metal Gear demo
In this conference they announced/showed:
Disgaea 5 PS4
Resident Evil HD PS4
Resident Evil Revelations 2 PS4
Hot Shot Golf PS4
God Eater 2 PS4
Yakuza 0 PS4
Persona 5 PS4
New YS PS4
Bloodborne PS4 release date
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 PS4
Dragon Quest Heroes PS4
Most of these coming in 2015. Anyone who says the conference was "bad" or "disappointing" is seriously delusional.
Announcements:
Everybody's Golf PS4
Senran Kagura Estival Versus PS4
Ys PS4
Disgaea 5 PS4
Persona 5 PS4/PS3
EDF 4.1 PS4
Dragon Quest Heroes PS4/PS3
Gundam PS4
Bladestorm PS4
Touhou Project PS4
God Eater 2 : Rage Burst PS4/Vita
Ryu ga Gotoku ZERO PS4/PS3
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 PS4/PS4
Biohazard Revelations 2 (all platforms exc.WiiU)
And some others here and there.
A decent amount.

To think this was the purpose of those fucking stairs. Jesus lol
For real though, the conference had some cool stuff.
-Bloodborne release date
-Pervy Morpheus sim
-Disgaea 5
-God Eater 2 Rage Burst and on PS4
-Persona 5 trailer
-Yakuza 0 trailer
-Persona 5 on PS4
-Ys on PS4
-Touhou on PS4
-PS4 themes
There's quite a bit for Japanese gamers.
Well ...... I will admit that put things into a bit better perspective.
However, unless they have more announcements planned for the actual TGS show. I still maintain that conference was weak. I will concede though, it wasn't a total travesty. Some decent moments there.
The P5 for PS4 was the biggest deal.
Is the new Way of Samurai for Vita or PS4?
I'm surprised DQ is getting a musou before Final fucking Fantasy. Oh well. Guess they'll wait to see if Hyrule Warriors and DQ Heroes sell well

They've practically confirmed DQ is coming back to consoles for a while now.
Disgaea and Persona have hardcore Japanese fan bases they will follow there series on any systems .
Plus bringing them out on Vita only means little to no western sales.
What about the vita games? New way of the samurai! ...no one cares? (
15+ new games are dissapointing?
The conference was very badly paced, but the content wasn't poor. It's only poor if you don't give a shit about games that Japanese actually want.
