Really good conference, exceeded my expectations.
To give people context, these are only two PS4 games that sold over 100k in Japan since launch:

Hmmm...I don't understand, this show seemed really good for the targeted audience and even had some stuff I would think PS4 owners universally would like.
But why does everyone want to see GR2, and updates to FF15, KH3, TLG, etc...I mean, isn't TGS coming up, what big games will they have if they announce everything here?
DQ spin is a great step towards getting a mainline RPG on the system and Morpheus might actually sell and increase PS4's sells which means more devs returning to consoles.

I'd care a little more if Yakuza 0 had any chance to come to the west. P5 on PS4 is nice but I had a PS3 so I was gonna play it regardless. Ys is cool but thats about the only good thing out of this show

Disgaea and Persona have hardcore Japanese fan bases they will follow there series on any systems .
Plus bringing them out on Vita only means little to no western sales.
It definitely doesn't correct that. The appeal of the PS4 isn't going to skyrocket by porting games over from systems with much higher install bases.

However, unless they have more announcements planned for the actual TGS show. I still maintain that conference was weak. I will concede though, it wasn't a total travesty. Some decent moments there.
The P5 for PS4 was the biggest deal.

The conference was very badly paced, but the content wasn't poor. It's only poor if you don't give a shit about games that Japanese actually want.

You REALLY can't imagine why people are disappointed? Look at your list and what it is missing. The big games/exclusives people have been waiting for and ANYTHING 2014. A third of that list won't even leave Japan.

I'm pretty sure this is true also for the west, those games have an hardcore audience and they would buy the Vita to play it.
if the Vita had massive japan ips, it would be a bigger sucess with western japanese games fans.
But even like that, who said it should be exclusive to the vita. It will still sell better on Vita in japan, as we can see with PS3/Vita games that are selling more and more on Vita, proportionally.
It's pretty simple in Japan, the Vita is the one replacing the PS3, not the PS4.

And personally, I'm excited about an action game instead of more stale turn based DQ stuff. I'll be on board for DQXI, but this looks great.
