I dunno, I'd agree that current general fashion is way more minimalist and muted than the 90's.
They're going to be shocked that they acquired Giantbomb and had a bunch of employees that they weren't aware of.
Not a lot of competition in the Russian language game coverage market.. Maybe GB should hire someone to over dub all their videos in Chinese.

Yeah, especially with the introduction of the Royal Rumble, it needs to be live to get the full impact. But I guess beggars can't be choosers: GB only wants the last spot on Saturdays because they can go longer when there's no one coming after them, so what theatre they get will always depend on who's on at the same time. If they were willing to take an earlier spot I'm sure they could get a theatre with streaming every year, but then again they probably couldn't do as much crazy shit.
They keep afloat by having subscriptions, which is why they're marketing it. GB has always been TERRIBLE at marketing Premium memberships with no real ads, no video promotion or anything like that. Jeff has even talked about how they appreciate people uploading sections of Premium content/highlights because they've been so bad at promoting that themselves.
I'm sure the marketing suits at CBSi love the Premium model because it's still so rare on the internet, and it makes GB less dependent on the old ad model.

I mean, it's about time they start pushing the premium subs. About the only things they do to promote it is the occasional sale and the big live live show live which I'm guessing they're not doing anymore.
Also I think they've pretty much said that they can stay afloat on subs? Not too sure though.

It took me way too long to figure out what was going on while watching that part of the panel.
Jeff has been pretty open about subs being a huge part of why they can still do what they do, and why CBSi bought GB in the first place.

Despite seeing them play it countless times already, Gangbeasts still serve up some pretty amazing moments. Epic ferris wheel scene and epic brad climb are both awesome.
