I'm not aware of ANY retail version that doesn't include Bayonetta 1 along with it. Amazon only seems to list the one $60 version of Bayonetta 2. I don't like buying $60 games but at least it has both included.

Maybe it was different in NA, I was watching the EU stream, 3 versions were shown:
The first print limited edition (15K copies),
Bayo 1 & 2 box,
and then the standalone Bayo 2

(also a unknown discount for those that buy digitally)

It has tentative packaging that doesn't mention Bayonetta 1, but the description down below says Bayonetta 1, so I guess wait and see what happens on UK storefronts. Also, a currency converter suggests this is cheaper than the U.S. price, something like $51 USD.

Thank god they saved that trailer for the end, that direct was otherwise a complete flop.

It felt like they just recycled 90% of what was said directly from day 2 of E3 coverage on the game and the treehouse commentaries felt forced which makes me sad since I normally adore treehouse.

True, but these specific Directs are just meant to summarize what to expect in the game as it gets closer to its release. We at least still got some new content coming that Platinum didn't previously reveal. It may not seem like much, but when you spill the beans of your game months earlier (and an action game no less), then there's usually only some subtle stuff left to show off.
