Glitch in Destiny reveals DLC details and content is partially on Disc

Obviously the mission structure isn't there but it still does kind of feel like we were cheated out of content.
I don't know why. They're two small little areas.

Also, you guys would probably shocked to see all the things that get cut in development. You're not getting 'cheated' of those things. There's just only so much time to work with. And its entirely possible that the foundations for future DLC were starting to get laid before the final game got released. That's also how it works with many games and there's nothing really wrong with that. Its become necessary to ensure you have post-release content that doesn't come out too late or else many people will have already moved on.

Nah, people is playing Destiny because they don't have anything better to play. Thank god FH2 and Shadow of Mordor are going to change that.

That's what I'm doing right now. Putting a few hours here in there into grinding cheap and annoying gameplay mechanics for a few points increase in some armor I have to buy from grinding some stupid reputation thing. I don't think I'll ever purchase a game with this kind of bullet sponge, shallow gameplay mechanic ever again.

Thank God FH2 and SoM are coming out so soon....

How the hell are people twisting this into a big deal of withheld content?

There's a small bit of incomplete, currently inaccessible content that can be glitched into.

Wait to outrage when this is the only thing that's in the expansion. Right now, quite a few in this thread sound like chicken little.

I suddenly have the urge to sell my copy of Destiny for something more worthwhile.

Jesus Bungie, what happened?

They're not though. Just because there are hooks there for content doesn't mean the real content is complete and there. Is some of it there probably in an incomplete state but there is no way in hell that is the complete content on the disc. Some people. jeez.

Then why even add it to the disc? To save download times later on?

Well here we go again. A brand new opportunity to shit on Destiny some more, hooray!

Content starved game? In my 40+ hours of playing the game I'm just about on the halfway point of the campaign alone...

Bungie has been clear from the very beginning that destiny would be a game that is built upon over time, so the "oh no! There are hooks in this game for future expansions! Bungie is teh evil!" Kinda stuff is a bit transparent.

Heck even nintendo built hooks into Mario Kart for future expansions. It's the way a ton of games work these days.

I have no idea what you're doing then. I cleared the entire story solo in just over 5 hours, the rest of my time has been grinding patrol to get my Vanguard rank up to level 2 so I can buy legendary gear, since they don't drop.

And I'm done buying games at launch from major publishers for awhile. I've always hated dlc and refused to buy it and stay cleared of games that were likely to contain the locked content on dlc. They should give this for free and compensate people who already paid for the Dlc.

How did you not know dlc was going to be sold with destiny? Its designed around dlc.

How is this Activisions fault?

Didn't that leaked deal say that Bungie was contractually obligated to make a certain number of DLCs and expansion packs per game? Do you think Bungie themselves were the ones who proposed the extra work, or was that probably Activision?

I'm saying the same thing. We all knew Destiny was going to have DLC, makes sense that there might be some unfinished areas in the game.

But the masses must have their weekly shit on on Destiny thread.

Yes. And to have a framework that supports the addition of extra content to the game. Again, all that video highlights is that the strings and placeholder icons for the DLC are present in the game.

Is this DLC the same as the full on expansions we are supposed to be getting? I was kind of hoping for more planets.

If you buy the expansion pass you get this content, though the contract from a couple years ago implies that there will be a bigger expansion next year.(unless that transformed into this)

I had two legendary drops today alone. I dont even know how you flew through the campaign in 5 hours it took me 12 to complete all the missions. I guess if you were speed running it with blinders on maybe....

You basically are forcing yourself to grind playing the game this way though. Pretty silly.

Probably a combination of that and just because they were working on it and were obviously planning to add this stuff so why not include it? Does it hurt anything being on the disc? People act like putting incomplete content on the disc is going to hurt something. It isn't. Take the areas that we can't access. I know in the alpha king's watch was open and those mobs were there already. The doors were not closed either. So those mobs were placed long before game went gold. Odds are when they were placing mobs and such they placed those mobs while planning things or just while working on the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see the mobs and the placement of them changed when the expansions are released because they'll then be content complete.

Everybody thought that destiny would have more content then it does. People are mad because there should be more content in this game.

Lol. They announced DLC before the game was even out yet. What did you honestly expect?

Hopefully there is more to it than just a few strikes. Putting raids behind DLC is pretty fucked though.

Too many people aren't even bothering to think critically for half a second.

It's incomprehensible at this point. In a knee-jerk reaction to their disappointment, some people have abandoned all logic.

I didn't speed run it, I just did what my Ghost told me to do, which was "Go here, kill enemies". I'm sorry I forced myself to grind, I didn't even really know how half the game worked until I was already done the campaign.

And I have lots of friends that have had legendaries drop as well - I'm just saying that I've never seen a single legendary engram drop, the only ones I got were from the Queen's mission and as a reward for levelling up my Cryptarch. Happy for you, though.

Yeahhh, I'm done preordering for a while. And I should have stuck to my no activision/EA/Ubisoft rule. Apparently bungie is NOT an exception, just like Visceral proved to be in EA's case.

Locked content on Disk is a shitty way to milk more £££ out of the players bungie and any other dev can kiss my arse if they think am gonna pay for content that is on disk already

From what people are saying about the length of the game, I'd feel proper ripped off if I'd bought it and then found out they cut content to sell as DLC. Bungie fucked this right up.

Yeah. I really don't want to play destiny anymore. The only worthwhile thing left in the game is the raid, and thats a bitch to start up and do.

I am so excited for SoM. Also, after Destiny and Watch Dogs I am never EVER buying a full game on PSN again. Physical for life.

Also, what is FH2...

Probably makes build management easier. If you have a WIP area, it's probably simpler to just not enable the entry to the area (which is how the final game will work anyway if it's a strike area) than to mask the area from being included in certain builds.

Not buying this one bit. Sorry. 5 hours is focused speed running and thats giving you some credit for ability too. Especially solo.
