Regardless of how the reviews pan out....... the story/characters/dialogue are going to get trashed by almost everyone. Just watch.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. Dialogue wise. Maybe? We haven't really heard much dialogue. Character wise I think Ruvic is already an extremely intriguing character. I wanna know more about him and I think to be honest he has a great shot at becoming an iconic character much like Wesker. When it comes to the story I think it looks interesting with a lot of potential (I usually don't give a crap about stories unless it's a visual novel). This one looks thought out from the start with quite a bit of ambition. If you've been following the game you'll know that the game has a ton of backstory too. It's not going to be as straight forward as LOL he was crazy the whole time. It'll have much more depth and meaning than that. They have a lot to work with and if they can pull it off it's going to be pretty great.
Is there a review embargo on this?
It'll probably be a day before the game comes out, just like how it is with most games that are published by Bethesda.
Even though Tricky and me have similar tastes and I think the hype is warranted... that's still a pretty premature serving of crow dude. You better hope the game scores well!
It will. You gotta believe my fellow disciple.
I'm cautiously optimistic since I haven't enjoyed a Mikami game since RE4. Oh, did they ever announce which reverse cover won?
Yes. There's also a guy narrating your every move.
LOL!
I heard ammo is incredibly scarce in this game. I hope its not too limited in supply. Keeping ammo supplies restrained is good, but an outright dearth of ammo could get annoying.
Yeah. I hope people realise that this isn't too similar to how Resident Evil 4 plays. Presentation wise, the over the shoulder camera, the enemy hit reactions, the mostly linear environments etc are all very Resident Evil 4. However when it comes to gameplay it looks much more closer to REmake. Like the trailer said, your gonna have to make every bullet count here, unlike in Resident Evil 4. Ammo is scarce and even if you manage to keep finding some the game will restrict you to a low limit anyway. You will have to think much more with how your going to approach the enemies. This is looking like REmake with a little bit of Resident Evil 4, not the other way around.
I'm not impressed by this trailer, Evil Within seems visually the same as it has been shown in the past, and I don't believe there's justification for the quoted 4GB video memory recommendation based on what I've seen. I believe the PC version of EW will be a disappointment and it will also be outsold by Alien Isolation for PC.
Not true at all. Animations and framerate have come a long way. Also:
