Disney Infinity 2.0 lOTl Fate of Two Worlds

Ouch. I so hope they fix that. I am just finishing up version 1 and the play sets have been absolutely tremendous fun.
Marvel pretty much banned any mutant or F4 representation, so that's 2 potential play sets gone. A shame they didn't let Aladdin,
Tron
, or Big Hero 6 (which is already a Marvel property) fill the void.

To be fair, I doubt we would have gotten another play set even if Marvel gave them no restrictions. They had half the development time and they improved the main game, creation stuff, made 3 play sets and two smaller disc games. It's a bummer that Marvel won't let them add the Xmen but I doubt we would have gotten the Fantastic Four until the barrel ran pretty close to dry.

Seems that the whole thing about those who get the digital Toy Box, get the two Disney Power discs for free...only meant the first 10k will qualify for it. How they will measure that...no details yet.

It's a shame the mutants will most likely be ignored again in the next game given the mandate for this game & the influx of new MCU characters from Age of Ultron onwards. At the very least, the DI crew is aware of the demand for characters like Wolverine & Deadpool.

Where'd you read that? I started the download when I got home today for lunch. I also picked up Merida and Donald Duck. That brings my figure total up to 35...yikes.

Waiting for Grace Chen Time, to get it on PS4.

Info was from Infinity Inquirer, from a conference call last week. Seems the Vita version is still set for Spring 2015 and will have "sonething special"....whatever that is.

Huh...I wonder if that means the Toy Box Games will be a physical copy sent to me or digital. Either way, that's silly and was very poorly worded when they initially told people about it. 10,000 per system or 10,000 overall?

Well, saw all the new stuff today. Donald, Baymax, Hiro, etc. Looking really nice... But fuuuuck. I just can't. Holding out for a very compelling sale. These are literally overflowing at TRU. Something gotta give.

Gonna pick up Baymax and Hiro first. Figured I get those first before the movie comes out and they potentially get very popular like Anna and Elsa last year.

Yeah. Physical. And yeah, the original PR said tbat "anyone"would get them. Yet, now it seems it meant the first 10k.

Also, no mention on how it will be measured, as 10k across 4-5 platforms is too few.

We'll see. Picked up: Merida, Stitch, Aladdin, Maleficient, Donald and Tinkerbell. Ready for later! Already have most of the 1.0 figures.

So apologies if I missed this reading over posts, but does anyone know of a good checklist of all the figures? (And I guess the playsets?)

My unofficial nephew has expressed interest in the game, and since I love aiding and abetting his video game habit, and love to spread the Disney love, I must help him in acquiring things! I've searched online but really can't seem to find a good CHECKLIST.

Note, variants aren't really important, I don't think he is going to care much.

Thanks!

Disneyinfinity.com has a list of all the characters including the ones that aren't out yet (except Tron and Quorra) with info on which playsets they're playable in. The PC, iOS, and Windows Store versions list the collections in the game/app but I don't think that includes unreleased characters. Otherwise a wiki is probably going to have the info you're looking for.

Wait, the only way to get just the game if I already have a base is to buy it digitally? Seriously? They didn't do a game/game&figures only release?

Ughhhhh fuck offfff. Are there any pros at all to downloading the game besides the obvious not having to switch out the game disc? Faster load times, etc?

I've been sitting here waiting for them to announce the game-only SKU but it looks like I've been waiting for nothing.

Price is the only upside and that's only if you have no interest in anything else the starters come with.

How would I even send in a receipt for the Wii U version? Take a photo of the purchase confirmation on the gamepad? I've never received an email from Nintendo for digital.

EDIT: Well I sent a registration form in with a pic of my gamepad. I guess I'll see in 60 days if that works lol.

Hmmmmm

So if I'm reading this correctly and what you're telling me, I can get JUST the game (digital) on Wii U for $20 right now? But it's not like a gimped Toy-Box-Only version of the game, it'll work with the playsets?

Is there any way to get the Avengers playset piece without buying the Starter Pack? I assume not...

Ugh, I want all that shit but I don't need another base plate. Guess I'll just wait for the discounts to start rolling around like they did last time.

That's what I did. I think it's silly Disney can't email in a week or so and say that our entry was accepted...but I also think they'd shut the link down once 10,000 valid users signed up. So I'm working under the assumption that I'm in, but...I guess we'll see.

The digital version is the same game as the retail game. It works with all Play Sets.

You can buy The Avengers Play Set stand-alone (with Iron Man and Black Widow) for $35 at retail. This also launched today with the new figures. Thor is also sold stand alone.

Whaat...

The Green Goblin figure looks nothing like the goblin I know about. Is this the Ultimate version?

Of the Avengers I still need to pick up Hawkeye and Nick Fury. After that I'll probably go for Aladdin, Tinker Bell, Merida and Hiro.
After having seen Hiro and Baymax, I'm disappointed in their designs.

And seeing Iron Fist in the line-up, do you guys think we'll get Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage too?

Oh awesome!!

So I could get the game download for $20 and then those figures and playset for $35, and that'd come to about $55-60 which is what I'd expect from the game-only version that they decided not to make. So the only comparible version would be the Toy Box starter, which comes with the game, two figures, NO playet, the base (don't need), and two power discs for $60 right?

Seems like the DD version plus Avengers (or any $35 playset really) is the best way to go to get the whole experience for the lowest price.

Do we know how long that $20 promo for the eShop is gonna last? Everything I saw just said "for a limited time". My birthday is on the 19th so I'd probably like to wait until then to grab a playset and the game, but if it's gonna end before then I think I can spare $20 and wait on the rest.

Yeah that's the cartoon version of the Ultimate Comics version of Green Goblin. In the comics he's just kind of a raging beast but I guess in the cartoons they made him a little more human and gave him armor and his glider? The Lego set with Gobby in it uses that design too, and it's based off the USM cartoon.

In Europe, the promotional price is only running through November 13. I can't speak for the US version.

The only thing you don't get buying digitally are the Toy Box Games discs, which will be at retail beginning January 13 for $19.99 (pack of two discs). If those aren't a big deal to you, then go for it. Black Widow isn't a particularly interesting character at first, but she grew on me. Iron Man is a beast.

JESUS CHRIST the discs are $20 now!?!? Weren't they like $5-8 for two last time!??! Ooooohhhhh my god.

Well the discs weren't a big deal to me last time and I guess I could always just eBay the ones I actually care for. Fuck. $20 for two discs. That's insane.

They are Toy Box game discs, not power discs. They are basically developer made games using Toy Box tools and items that are available in Toy Box. There's four of them, based on Thor, GotG, Stitch, and Brave. Thor is tower defense game and GotG is a dungeon crawl (an NPC partner follows you around and you power them up with loot). The Stitch and Brave one just came out today so I'm not quite sure what they're supposed to be. They're making people wait if you want to buy them separate from the Toy Box starter.

These aren't Power Discs, they're Toy Box Games. They're actual games built from the game's Toy Box (with a cutscene or two thrown in) that last for a few hours each. So two of those for $20 isn't a bad deal. I rather enjoyed Escape From The Kyln myself.

Well, PS4 digital version purchased. 10.3GB which is around 5 hours in my case.

Submitted the receipt. Sucks that right there it tells you that you'll basically know you qualified for the discs...if you receive them.

Oh well. Will be finally playing this later tonight.

That's how big the Wii U version download was. I bought it at lunch and went back to work. It probably took around 2 hours for me, so I'll take Merida and Donald for a spin tonight. I was just getting a digital copy to replace the disc, so I've already played through The Avengers. I need to start Guardians of the Galaxy, so...maybe that too.

But yeah, the disc thing seems silly. I hope they get to us sooner than 60 days. It'd be nice to play them in a couple of weeks.

OOOOOOOH ok that makes a huge difference. In that case, yeah, $20 for two of them doesn't seem bad at all. Yeesh!

Depending on what it turns out to be I think the only one I'd be interested in is Stitch's game. Please be a platformer please be a platformer

I caved and bought the starter pack but I'm gifting the game to my brother so we can play online Toy Box together. Picked up the starter, Hiro, Baymax, and one power disc pack for $70. Having a GCU membership is dangerous...

Speaking of which, for anyone interested you can grab a GCU membership at Best Buy this week for about $5-$20 and you'll get 20% off new games and game figures.

Had to take my WiiU version back. Sound glitch and game runs like shit. Got the Xbox One version. All good now.

Although my base never glows a constant green anymore. I assume due to the figures having been used with the Wii version.

Picked up my starter pack from TRU along with a pre order bonus Tinkerbell and free power disc pack for spending over $30.

Pretty good deal.

Looking forward to Black Friday to build up my collection!

Seems the Toy Box Game Discs offer is no longer in the site.

Earlier, under the information it showed at least that the receipt was submitted (or the blanks to fill your info and upload the receipt). Now just says the info of the game and no mention of the offer.

Who knows. We'll see in 2 months.
Doubt I get mine, since I'm in PR.

Double post, some hours later but...

Finally started this on PS4 and looks quite good. The introductory part controlling Aladdin in Agrabah was really pretty with the way the sand and lighting looked.

Game plays well, Toy Box is a time sinker. Though I don't create stuff, I'm having fun with the whole "INterior decorating" of your room.

The game also recognized that I played the first one, the narrator even acknowledged it at the beginning. Nice touch.

Another nice touch was that when I placed the (23 I own) 1.0 figures, it asked me if I wanted to share ownership. Thought I would need to use them as guests if I wanted to continue on the same level.

So far, so good. Now to try user created content. Might get Groot and Rocket Raccoon, but focused mostly on the Disney side of this at the moment. Got 6 of the 8 - 2.0 originals. Will get Hiro and Baymax if I like Big Hero 6.

The digital version doesn't seem to be showing up in the UK?

The PS4 version just isn't there (and yes the store has updated).
Xbox One version just says "unavailable".

Any ideas?

So for 2.0 I'm guessing the playable material is-
Avengers playset
Spider-Man playset
GOTG playset
Asgard/GOTG play discs
and the two that come with the 2.0 Disney package

I got the Avengers set when it came out, is there a cheaper way (than paying the 50 dollars for) to get the 2 play discs (Brave and Stitch) I think that came with the 2.0 Disney one?

Isn't release in the UK on Nov. 7th? Or was the digital version announced for earlier?

Will be released on January 13 at $20 (each 2-pack).

So, I see now that Disney is backtracking on the USB pad compatibility between the 360 Pad and the One. Is this reason to justify not having a digital version? I thought ALL xbox one games had a digital equivalent. Looks like I'm gonna pass/hold off until this gets resolved. Shame, was hoping to get this for the kids for Christmas.
