Gematsu: Sony to hold Playstation Experience event in December

So could Sony just work out something where Activision makes a smaller scale Crash game? I mean, helping fund the project seems like it'd be a lot simpler than buying the whole ip.

Welcome to the party, the cheese is being served by Viveks and Verendus has a nice selection of wines. Don't mind Kev in the corner, he's just coming to terms with something that happened in the hypeness that this is.
Nah, we don't play that. Tell them to kick rocks cause they ain't welcome here.

Batch #3 is done.

Batch#4 will be sometimes tomorrow. There is not much space left... except piling you all up, up to toward the heavens where megatons live.

Aww man, how many time do I have to ask to get in on this? I asked right after batch #1 and then brought it up again after not getting added to batch #2. Here we are at batch #3 and I'm still stuck at the station. I'm just as hyped as the next pile of bones!

I might be turning down the hype a bit, but ask yourselves something. Any ONE of the announcements that's been rumored in this thread would be more than enough for any ONE E3. Some of the theories sound like literal dream scenarios that rival Harry Potter fanfic at it's best (I would know).

More importantly the chances of these things happening sound slim to none:
1. Crash coming back! - 2/10 Doritos. Sony would have to publicly purchase the I.P. from Activision. Last time I checked it's being held ransom for underperforming and becoming more and more irrelevant. Crash is an identifiable caraciature from history, nothing more. Creating a new Crash game is a massive investment because Sony would need to buy the I.P., create the game, and pray that it sells well enough to make a profit.

2. Final Fantasy VII - REMAKE - 2/10 Doritos. Square Enix is spread thin. Final Fantasy XV is currently living in purgatory with Catbird. Nomura is working on Kindom Hearts 3, the main team is working on Final Fantasy XV, and the only saving grace for the company is an online MMO. No one is free of projects to make said title.

3. Shenmue 3 - 4/10 Doritos. Sega gives no fucks. The general public gives no fucks. Shenmue is like the Marshal Mathers L.P. It was good for it's time, but a modern day rendition and a full scale production would be both critically and commercially a disaster. The only thing it would be good for is an announcement.

So after Thuway took a nap, bought ingredients for the PlayStation Cheesecake, he came to the realization.

PlayStation Experience is a CELEBRATION. Yes we'll get new announcements, but there is too much in the pipeline right now to not focus on. The Order is a mere months away, yet, the hype surrounding it is close to zero. Uncharted 4 is a total mystery outside someone walking into a forest. Blood Borne is coming in March, and we've yet to see more than a few areas in the game.

PSX sounds like an EXPANSION of what we know. You'll see No Man's Sky, Rime, the Order, Uncharted, and MAYBE the Last Guardian to finish the show. That should be fine with you. If you want more, you need buy a Delorian and go into an alternate time line. Just my two cents.

:) PLAYSTATION HYPE TRAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN.

This is literally smokescreen: the post.

So what you're really saying is that we'll get Crash, FF7, and Shenmue. I see you.

p.s. Marshall Mathers 2 is pretty good man

Sony has billions to fall back on. They're not going to lose much if one title happens to underperform.

If they're acquiring the I.P, they're going to market it in a way use that gets people buying PS4's.

I'm not sourced on this, but I do not think Sony is in the best shape, based on hearsay.

I hope Crash returning will become a reality, but lets be a tad realistic.

1. Activision sold Crash for a low price.
2. Activision and Sony are working together and the relationship is benefiting Sony.

That's what you have to work with. Chances are low. I need to back off the hype myself.

One title (in the case of Crash) wouldn't be enough to kill them.

STOP CRUSHING MY DREAMS!!!

I'm a Philadelphia Man. I would think about changing to Mascaparone if you can give me a compelling reason.

I find it to be less "fresh" and instead more sweet, soft and creamy. That said, ain't nothing wrong with Philadelphia and your ingredients mentioned earlier sounds delicious. The two also mix together well if you're ever curious but not sure you want to try one solely consisting of mascarpone!

Edit: Mascarpone especially goes well with chocolate I find!

Your forgetting that they mentioned couple weeks back they would be showing, or debuting their new IP they have been working on that's not Final Fantasy, and is suppose to be a new JRPG.

Square's Announcement points to December, and here we are with Award ceremony's, and the PSX.

So I'm going to assume it's something more than likely exclusive, or debut first on Playstation.

I'm still of the mind that a Crash game announcement is not reliant on them purchasing the IP for the game. It's not like Sony and Activision are strangers to a working relationship.

Quite frankly, they could just waive license fees for the next couple CoDs on all Playstation devices.

The Marshall Mathers LP is still a fantastic album that holds up well. Shenmue has aged like shit and sucks now.

And The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was the second highest selling album in the US in 2013, how was it commercially a disaster?

Terrible comparison.

I can't believe I just wrote a poem on Gaf. I'm officially losing it.

This forum is unassuming in physical appearance and if you weren't aware of the reputation it would look ordinary. But then you learn why it is what it is. And it drives people to do silly/crazy/creative shit. And I know I shouldn't start sentences with "And" or "But". But I do it anyway.

Why do people think Crash is coming now? Doesn't Activision still own the IP? Any change in ownership would have been public now. Ya'll be tripping.

Unless, there is a deal "in principle" already ready to be signed live and ratified on Sat. during the conference. That would explain all the changes at Activision in regards to crash. The planning for this started a year ago..

For reference, Sony lost $4.7 billion making the PS3.

They're not in the best shape, but they're far from being a puff of wind when it comes to making any game related decision.

I do find it hard to believe Activision reps would reply "No comment" to Dave's tweet then go on to say "Oh, it's right here! Yay!" All seems a bit strange to me.
