Robin is fucking terrible in All Star. She just cant do damage well against large groups and easily gets juggled/edgeguarded when it's 3v1. Her only saving grace is nosferatu, but even that doesn't matter since I've gone into battles with 0% and still died. Been attempting all star on hard with her so long I've unlocked all her customs. =/

More Questions: Is there a full list of all the songs anywhere and how to unlock theme if certain ones are unlockable? Also, has anyone figured out an easy way to farm for CDs?

GGs! Your Toon Link was very good. That's a very bad match up for Yoshi so I switched to the ROB. Matches were close then!

Some matches were very even but in others I made many ridiculous SDs haha.

Yeah! I had no idea either! Since you can't use them in For Glory I've used the Mii Brawler like 3 times. But his flurry of kick attacks are hilarious so I use them all the time haha. Clearly not a good strategy!

We should have Mii Tourneys sometime here in GAF.

Any other Sonic fans a little disappointed by the lack of Genesis remixes in Smash 4??
Like, Megaman and Pac-man have a good amount of superbly composed classic remixes while all most all of Sonic's music is modern (I'm not saying this is a bad thing btw)
Is it a licensing issue or is is something else entirely?

I played against an AMAZING Pikachu player named Megan on For Glory today. I really was not ready for the amount of tech that little guy could bust out. Quick Attack looping and Thunder Jolt - Quick Attack strings had me recalling fond moments of fighting Zero in Marvel vs Capcom 3. :lol

The matches were really close and they wound up leaving with 4 rounds to my 3 out of the times we played each other and they used Pikachu. We both swapped characters and I taunted (to let them know it was funny that we both switched up to secondaries at the same time, then switched back to mains at the same time) as a show of good faith. I hope they didn't take it badly.

I pulled it off in the past few days with an Attack/Defense-boosted Palutena with Super Speed and Lightweight, a pure Attack Ness with Lucas's special moves, and an Attack/Defense-boosted enhanced midair jump Little Mac. Boosting your Attack stat is crucial because it will allow you to take out the Master Fortress "cores" in a single hit or two.

Yeah, it was that really cool Sonic Adventure-esque Angel Island remix by Jun Senoue, and that's about it.
I can't imagine that Smash's various composers wouldn't want to touch the classic stuff and I can't imagine that SEGA is against the idea, that's kind of why "licensing issues" is the first conclusion I jumped to.

lol I got your PM. Me saying that it's a "long story" was just me trying to buy some time while I dug up some old info.

The short version of it all (thanks to Sciz and Sega1991 from SonicGAF in various threads) is that a lot of the music from the Genesis titles weren't done in-house. "Dreams Come True" have the rights to most of the music from Sonic 1 & 2 (aside from GHZ, which is all Sega's now IIRC), and were most likely licensed for Sega to use in Generations. Sonic CD's main issue was the vocal tracks, but those issues were hammered out if the re-release didn't make that obvious.

Sonic 3 is a different beast. A handful of tracks from 3K were done in-house so there's no issue with using them. But since Michael Jackson worked on the rest, it becomes a bit trickier. So much so that Sega won't even bother with them.

EDIT: My mistake, Sega *doesn't* own the rights to GHZ outright. They're only allowed to use pure Genesis recordings of the music. Anything more than that and they have to pony up some cash.

What a strange For Fun session I had. It wouldn't re-add player 3 or 4 for like half an hour and I ended up fighting the same person over and over. That was great fun. Very grateful for the ability to add users played with.

I've learned that's how you win All-Star. It's kinda lame, but you pretty much have to constantly smash or have a real good Special move that KOs. It's not like normal fights where you have to build %, it's nothing but executing your Smash move at opportune times.

I mean really, same story for Classic and Orders mode. It's all using your Smashes.

I'm heading off for now. I've never fought a player controlled Mii Fighter before, so I had absolutely zero experience fighting your gunner. Also I'm not sure why I had such terrible luck falling at the end when I kept thinking I still had an extra jump. >.>

Streamers for APEX 2015 are VGBootcamp, Clash Tournaments, and Bifuteki.

Clash Tournaments will be handling Smash pools, and the Pokemon tournament stream, Bifuteki is handling all non-Smash coverage (USFIV, Guilty Gear, KI, UCvM3, etc.), and VGBootcamp is handling main stage duties.

I remember not liking the quality of Bifuteki's stream last time I watched, so I hope he upgraded.

Sorry for the late response. I have upgraded my stuff since last year. This year's Apex and every stream I did was pretty much great.

Dedede is fun -- feel like I spend half my time trying to get a swing off. Worth it for the times they connect, though.

I don't have the game cube adapter nor the wii u pro controller. At this point, should I go spend the $50 on the wii u pro controller or wait till whenever/if the gc adapter becomes available? Is it a good substitute?
