Weird that Luffy wasn't winning shit until Ultra though. Hey wait, could it be because:

Stunfest 2014 - AE2012
Apocalypse in Paris 3
Paris Full Contact I
Republic of Fighters 2

Stunfest 2012
Shadowloo EU Qualifier
Evolution 2013 - 17th

Oh, you mean the Louffy who beats Ryan Hart since at least 2010 ? He even threw his stick on a wall at WGC 2010/2011.

Ryan Hart also bested him in several tournaments throughout 2013. Hasn't pulled anything on him since. Again, not unfamiliar with Luffy - was merely highlighting the differences between AE2012 -> Ultra Rose.

Damn I just got blown up. GGs Count lol

This is one of Evil Ryu's bad match ups, Daigo is just incredibly good at the match up though.
Well, it sure helps to have a 3 frame dp to get through her false block strings. My main point being that they're both super strong chars in Ultra, and you can't deny that. Daigo is playing a top-tier char but no one is giving him crap, even though he intentionally switched to a stronger char while Luffy has played Rose since the beginning.

Yeah about that

It'd be nice to see Daigo look genuinely excited sometime. He's just like "yup... how long do I have to stand here?"

So to everyone who dropped the 15 bucks on the subscription, do you feel like it was worth it and/or do you feel like it was worth supporting?

I think they could have easily gotten 20k viewers without ppv.. So I don't know if it was worth it for them to make it a ppv.

I was on the fence, but then totally convinced by the Friday set.

Been glued to it all weekend.

I'm well out of school and $15 doesn't really affect me, so given that, totally worth it.

I made a few hundred on side bets which made watching the sub instead of hovering over my cell phone or watching some re-stream well worthwhile. Still think $15 was a bit steep, though. $10 would have been the sweet spot, but who knows if they would have gotten enough additional subs to make up for it.

I feel that having a variety of commentators, who could all rest and take breaks, made a huge difference in the broadcast quality compared to FGC standards. I'm pretty confident the $15 fee helps make that possible considering commentator flight, hotel, & day rate needs.

Even outside of the incredible quality of matches we've seen this weekend I'd pay regularly just to see the commentary situation become a standard.

Regarding Guilty Gear commentary:

Klaige is the premier GG commentator. However, he was at AGDQ this week, so he couldn't be at KiT.

I thought commentary for Top 8 was fine, though.

Good event M'Ellis.
