This Jigglypuff is hitting harder than an Onix (well yeah it has the same attack stat but gets STAB on its moves).
Harden is disabled, all hope is lost.
If only it were a Weedle instead. Poison Sting is amazing for these types of runs (as the poison damage is something fairly constant.

Hopefully it doesn't miss level 12 as otherwise there will be a Beedrill with only harden until level 20 (or TM/HM) and Beedill has less defence (but more HP) than Kakuna.

Don't know about the first page but someone posted a 50 megabyte animated gif on the second page and we all know Chrome isn't great with those.
Okay so nothing can compare to how much I liked following the first, but I already enjoy this more than anything that came after the first Red run. Twitch chat is one of those things that you can't help but love sometimes.

Didn't it hit up to 60k viewers at one point? Or am I misremembering and it maxed out around 40k? Either way, I doubt this run will be as legendary.

The non-touchscreen games are definitely harder than when the touchscreen was introduced.
Still loved the Platinum run the most though. Probably the best trainer lore or the batch while Red had the best pokemon lore.

Red hit 120K concurrent during the league and I think at Silph. Co as well, shit was crazy during the first run.
Holy shit. I remember Celadon Game Centre had 40k people just spamming chat for like three days. And then Anarchy/Democracy was introduced and the fun (and frustration) died.

I think this run topped out at about 8,000 when it started. It is sub 5000 now.

Nah, it was way higher at the start (I remember seeing 11,000).
But why does it need to hit the same numbers to be fun? Or is this case of I only about things at their peak of popularity?

Onix knows rock throw now and they fought the fossil super nerd who leads with a L25 Magmar...with an Onix at 33% HP and the rest of the party fainted. Magmar got the KO with ease.
It came at a price. Kakuna is level 13 meaning when it evolves into Beedill the next move it learns is focus energy (which due to a programming error instead of raising critical hit it reduces your chances to zero, even staying at Kakuna is better than focus energy).

Still we know our true savior is the town map.
You want to run the risk of the PC? That said given how high level random encounters are I question the existence of half the party as they become obsolete within a dungeon.
