The dollar just skyrocketed after some talk in the U.S. about hiking rates. We're back to 80 cents, which is a sad thing to celebrate but whatever.

They always do this for games they have like no faith in selling much. Like for the one you listed, Mind Zero, and Xblaze. I honestly don't care because I can always sell my physical copy and offset whatever launch discount they have.

Um, that's half a cent. (close to a full cent in that recent hour, it seems). I had to search out the news, but it looks like Canada's central bank chief made a speech today that suggested a further rate cut was unlikely at this time.
I guess you don't use Netflix/Rdio/Spotify?
This isn't just directed at you but I have no idea where people got the idea that you should get to keep access to stuff from a subscription service once your subscription lapses.

Afaik, it will be displayed USD on Amazon but CAD on your card.

Just got back from going to post liquidation Target for the first time. Picked up Pokemon Omega Ruby and a Pikachu amiibo... after seeing it I couldn't not, it's so cute! Wonder when discounts are gonna pick up though. I remember Zellers having pretty wild discounts towards the end of it's liquidation process..
Huh. I've had nothing but bad experiences pre-ordering games from niche publishers like Aksys from amazon.ca, which is why I went with VGP. But I guess that's no sure thing either.

I've never used those services. I hear good things though. As for PS+, I fully well know that whatever free games are available are free just as long as you pay to use the service. With that in mind I've avoided ever downloading them. I like the idea of having a digital game on my PS3 console 3 years from now and being able to still play it without having to worry about PS+ support being cut on PS3. The only appeal the service has to me are the discounts on games and online play for PS4. I could really care less about the free game aspect.

The HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai is up for preorder in the States at Amazon.com but, of course, they're not shipping this to Canada and it's not available on Amazon.ca.
Any alternate locations to track one of these beauties down or any alternate sticks you would recommend?
The only alternative I'm seeing is this stick being putting out by Mad Catz later this spring.

^The Hori ships to Ontario. $25 for 1-3 days priority and $10 for 7-12 days standard. Which is surprisingly not that bad.

I bought the HRAP v4 Hayabusa from amazon.ca back in December (with free shipping and all) but it looks like it's out of print now.
Kinda salty I didn't wait for the Kai model because it has a touchpad. Lack of touchpad makes the Hayabusa model unusable in games that use the touchpad as a substitute for the select button (I like to use my stick for more than just fighting games).

Interesting. I download every PS+ game and play it for a bit, and if it's a game I think I would miss once my sub runs out, I usually buy it when it's on a sale. Spelunky and Hotline Miami are recent games I can think of. I probably would have never bought Spelunky without trying it first, so I basically use the PS+ free games as a trial/rental service. (And to get games to play on my Vita while I travel)

If you buy a game that you've activated on PS+, you just own it from that day forward. It updates the license and is no longer tied to your PS+ sub.
I thought it wasn't possible to buy games that were on your list already due to PS+. Unless they changed that
I've never had that issue, nor heard of it if I'm honest. Unless that's a PS3 thing? I've bought games on Vita and PS4 that I initially acquired through my PS+ sub without any problems.
I'll check it out when I get home in 15 minutes I guess lol.

I was so worried about not finding a New 3DS at Ebgames before their trade-in deal ended, but the guy at my local EB was super kind about and we came to a solution.
He said that since the stock was so low, he'd take my name and number, then call me the moment they come in, and even if it's a few days after March 1 (when the trade-in deal ends), he'll still honor it and I can trade my old XL in

Upon further inspection I think you guys might be right. I normally use the PSN Web Store as opposed to the PS4 Store interface, so I just went to see if I could buy a few of the more recent PS+ games (Binding of Isaac, Escape Plan, Apotheon) and it doesn't seem like I can.
The only thing I can think of is I bought Hotline Miami and Spelunky on Vita before I had my PS4 & PS+ sub. I honestly can't remember doing that but it seems like what must have happened.
I think that's a bit of an oversight on Sony's part. It should be easy to buy a PS+ for keeps if you want.
